It looks to me like people are generally getting smarter about the vehicles they choose to purchase. Japanese automakers are absolutely proven over many decades to build much higher quality automobiles than many of their competitors. That only makes sense, since the culture of Japan, even to this day, is one emphasizing honor more than anything else. Meanwhile, Chevrolet, which was the carmaker I grew up loving (only as a matter of family tradition, honestly), continues to decline in market share, and for good reason. They build garbage now. As does Ford and all American carmakers, generally. Good for you, world! Pay them back for their insolence and laziness and corrupt corporate culture! For their contempt for the customer, for honest effort itself, and for being committed to fancy people-pleasing and glitzy advertising more than building good vehicles that return good value for the money.
