omgoshhhh! i just gained so much more respect for drummers. & especially chris. he is working so damn hard & going so hard at it. you can tell he LOVES the drums & what he does. he has so much passion!
what makes him such a good drummer is that he keeps the tempo even throughout the whole song. i'm a drummer and it's hard switching from verse to chorus without changing tempo. hey people say he's ordinary but i think he's better then ordinary.
I bought the 22" Byzance Medium Crash solely because of this video 5 or so years ago, and it's just as amazing in person. It is surprisingly versatile as a ride cymbal. I've found- being a jazz musician- that a half of a moon-gel on the rim makes this think a perfect ride cymbal. Just enough muting to control the heavenly wash that this beauty makes! Definitely a worthy purchase in my mind! And it is so unique! Nobody else has it!
definitely one of my favorite songs by them im lovin this view, so i can get a better feeling of how to play this on my drums gotta love chris kamrada :)
He is amazing! I saw him at Warped and wow he's really good! And he's so fun to watch ^-^ I love how he just puts everything he has into it :D You can tell he's just having a great time ^-^
triggers are usually used in hardcore music like BMTH uses them what they do are trigger the drum to a electric drum module which you can change the song of the drum also there usually used on bass drums to u can get a good punchy sound from it
Probably most guys who think he is ordinary cant even play drums themselves. What matters only is that he plays well and thats good enough, he is in a band thats out there and he is having time of his life most likely.
yeah, its pretty crazy. being a drummer myself having played at clubs and stuff, thats wat it really sounds like for the drummer too with out a monitor. it sounds sooo much different on stage than it does in the crowd. its pretty crazy!!
He is awesome. I don't why people say he sucks or he is a bad drummer. Can't you have good looks and awesome talent at the same time? Gee, maybe their jealous. :|
@mayzonator17 Go to Meinl's website and search for his profile on there, it has the setup he's using here. All I remember is that he's using the Byzance Trad 22" Medium crash as his main crash here. Pretty sure the others are the Byzance brilliant 20" medium and 19" medium thin but I really can't remember.
@ed11561 This was probably shot near the end of the set, when he's been up there for thirty minutes, drumming his little heart out. You're not good unless you sweat. ;D
i love using triggers on my bass DRUM only especially when i play live bcuz u cant really hear the Bass drum as good as u wanna and Triggers help with that
the 6 people that dislike this, i dont know what you were thinking, you probs wanted lo hit the "Like" button but hit the "Dislike" button instead, yea...lets go with that
i'm not sure where you live, but if you've ever heard of Mast General Store, those are mostly used for camping & stuff also Dick's sportsware, basically any sports place probably
@lametown3 Dude, I've never even heard of this band or anything before I watched this video. And I'm not a fan of the music, but, still, he is a good drummer, and he can have his drums set to where they feel right. Calm down. Don't watch the video if you don't like the guy or band!
Wrong dude, those are mics. @riotstand made a comment about what they are and he's dead on, they're Shure Beta 98D/S's (for his toms anyway, I can't see anything else).
Damn I WANT that 22" medium crash! But doesn't sound like a great ride, I already made the mistake of using a 20" mb20 heavy crash as a crash ride, but that doesn't ride that well either...
omgoshhhh! i just gained so much more respect for drummers. & especially chris. he is working so damn hard & going so hard at it. you can tell he LOVES the drums & what he does. he has so much passion!
still my idol during my college days!
chris of tft and jess of tss are my heroes when it comes to drummers.
his snare sounds sooooooooooo gooooooooood!!!!! it makes me hungry for some reason....
what makes him such a good drummer is that he keeps the tempo even throughout the whole song. i'm a drummer and it's hard switching from verse to chorus without changing tempo. hey people say he's ordinary but i think he's better then ordinary.
i could seriously watch him play for hours. amazing.
i don't know why this is so addicting. he's just wow. just. wow.
Chris kamarada is my favorite drummer eva! and i think he is adorable.

I went to a concert they played in. I didn't watch the band or listen to them. I watched him play. That is the hottest talent I've ever seen.

chris is flippin AWESOME! =D he's a fan-freakin-tastic drummer!
watching chris play really lightens my current mood. i love TFT and they are all talented. but when he plays, its my favorite part of the music.
well for him it is.. if it wasnt,he would change it!
he isn't an amazing drummer but he is far from ordinary and easily the best drummer for his style of music
a massive inspiration for me
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, I was there! I had front row seats in the pit, i'm special. haha.
Freaking love the drums to this song!
Happy Birthday to Christopher Kamrada!!
It's only bands like THERE FOR TOMORROW and EARTH CULTURE that really kick ass!!

Probably most guys who think he is ordinary cant even play drums themselves. What matters only is that he plays well and thats good enough, he is in a band thats out there and he is having time of his life most likely.
@ThisKidDoes
Truer words have never been spoken man!

Chris is a very good drummer....

Chris is one of my favorite drummers! Alongside Aaron Gillespie of Underoath. He's extremely talented and clearly loves what he does.

@ThisKidDoes he's not an ordinary drummer...he's playing what the music needs in this band....what do you expect him to play?
@kirkalurck7 The song is 'Pages' (you can kind of hear Maika say it at 0:35)
he played a few parts a lot differently that in the original. but i love this kid. hes awesome. i want his hair too lol
haha sick! he's pretty much my hero. thats it.
Pages!! Yay!
I was there
and I can tell the song just by the drums :)
I like how he drums

He's not using triggers, hes using Shure Beta 98DS Mics. They are mini condensor mics, google them.
yeah
okay ! sounds good man =)
i love using triggers on my bass DRUM only especially when i play live bcuz u cant really hear the Bass drum as good as u wanna and Triggers help with that
@ThisKidDoes yeh, hate to say it man but he is clearly pocket man. he is playing very tight and did just enough.. tasteful for that scene especially.
hahaha me too! i saw it and was like.. damn. that was hot.
Now the drummer for falling in reverse

I think I just died.
LMFAO.
if hes playing warped and is endorsed by lots of drumming company's, i think he learned a thing or two on how to "preserve" energy on his way there.
@Crue424 the song is Pages. and one of the best things of TFT is every song they've made is good haha
it sounds bad from the angle of the camera but if you in the crowd, it would sound amazing. Also its not that bad from here anyway
@TLJCBFH finally someone understands u have another sub just for finally making sense and taking it to peoples attention
i'm not sure where you live, but if you've ever heard of Mast General Store, those are mostly used for camping & stuff
also Dick's sportsware, basically any sports place probably
@PBronaldo well its like some would sound like a gong a little but these sound perfect, that or its a crash/ride or the camera
did he lick the drumstick!? he is a beast!
He makes me want to drum!!! :D
What type of meinl cymbals are those they have good sound
Whoa 2:05 He licked the drumstick LOL
I love TFT!!
hes so freaking talented.
like, hes an amazing drummer.
i love him :D
..and hes hot. :P
Can anyone give me and accurate answer to what hardware he's using(cymbal stands, ect.)?
can anyone tell me the cymbals and sizes he uses?
@ThisKidDoes u'r totally right :I
Well, I love my 22" crash, I see why he uses it! But it's LOUD!
dude i didnt say they get messed up. i said they didnt. chilll.
What's the name of the song ?
@HeScreamsEpic isn't he endorsed by Zildjian?
Does anyone know what his cymbal sizes are?
Zac Farro will never be as sexy as Chris, but he's still a great drummer. They both are.
Does he use a double pedal though?
What song is this? It's amazing. :o
PAGES!!! :)
why are his hihats that high?
@lametown3 Dude, I've never even heard of this band or anything before I watched this video. And I'm not a fan of the music, but, still, he is a good drummer, and he can have his drums set to where they feel right. Calm down. Don't watch the video if you don't like the guy or band!
what song is this again?
what song is this?
Wrong dude, those are mics. @riotstand made a comment about what they are and he's dead on, they're Shure Beta 98D/S's (for his toms anyway, I can't see anything else).
What type of meinls was he usin
whats this song called
why does every ride cymbal from meinl sound like a crash in like every video??
Do they still play this kind of music?
this is 4 years( probably more) late, but, no
what's the song?
whats the song name
@skilletOATH im thinking gilbratar. but im not sure
I would do terrible things to get that drum set
Damn I WANT that 22" medium crash! But doesn't sound like a great ride, I already made the mistake of using a 20" mb20 heavy crash as a crash ride, but that doesn't ride that well either...
