Good content, but also good to see dealers stand their ground. As a dealer myself, I avoid the percentage of comps thing and offer discounts on a per card basis. A lot of videos are making it look easy to sell because buyers try to create bulk deals asking for almost 30% off. Seeing the offers get turned down shows that it’s tougher.
Personally not a fan of dealers always buying at 70%. I know they have to make profit, but anyone that sells to them at 70% will have a very time making their profit as well
Couldn’t agree more, that’s why I don’t believe in the percentage of comps thing period. I give a small discount on single cards and slightly more on a bulk, but nowhere near what a lot of videos show. I thought $330 was fair from the dealer’s perspective. Not $220. That’s a high percentage.

What is the rule of thumb when selling your cards? I sell majority on FB. If the card is less 100 or everything is 70%-80%? I feel FB is resellers not actual card shops who just want to flip your card at 85% - 100%

lol it’s always rough when you are a buyer and the guy starts grabbing stuff back after saying they want to sell. You know the prices aren’t good.

This is exactly why im selling off my whole collection. Its become a business instead of a hobby. I remember opening up first hobby box in 1999 and was trying to get jersey/autos of my favorite players. Now its all about the $$$
