COVEN is a new prestige skin for Akali that will be released in October 2023. This Prestige LOL skin features a brand new set of visual effects for Akali, as well as a total makeover of her looks.
Prestige Coven Akali costs 2000 Worlds 2023 tokens or 125 Mythical Essence once it gets on rotation, and can be purchased from the League of Legends store.

It actually looks like it's meant for that wild rift skinline. Forgot the name but it LOOKS JUST like the one evelynn and some others have.

It's weird how they handled this year's Coven skin line. The designs aren't "bad", is just that some don't feel like Coven.

The second wave of coven is my favorite because morgana, zyra, and Leblanc all look so different from each other but still look like coven before and after coven just went downhill

honestly, I find it indistinguishable from her other skins, she has so many that she doesnt really need that its getting hard to tell them all apart. why is she in the coven skinline in the first place lol

The prestige is like Katerina battle academia pearl, I don’t think Akali had a skin like it, besides the crystallized design of all out.

honestly, coven akali could've been so good. her hairstyle really takes away the bewitching part of the skin. it's not like they cannot change it because they literally changed evelynn's hairstyle in coven

Also Evelynn's silhouette is not defined by her hair but lashers. Akali IS defined by her hair, its a huge part of her model, that's why they have to keep it mostly consistent.
i get your points, but if they want to make the characters fit in the theme they have to change something but not too much, right?

I personally love this prestige with all of its vfx so I'm grabbing it but I do agree on the model. I'm sure there's a way they could have incorporated the smooth face piece or bones into the design. The face now that you say it doesn't look like Akali XD it's to round or squished
I'd def buy it too if I played Akali, and just pretended it was a BK skin :D
@BuyOrBye lol I'm just going to think of it as an elite class skin of the fashion world than coven. That's kind of what the whole prestige thing is. Fashion models showing the best of their work. Unfortunately akali couldn't show coven, thanks riot, but shows battle queen :D

I would say this Coven Batch, although some were better than others, is a good example of "good idea, bad execution". All the champions were good ideas, but how they tried to emulate the Coven feel failed for some. Indeed is the worst batch,.

Syndra and Nilah were the most requested champs to get Coven skins for years, and they ended being part of the worst Coven batch with poor color variety and poor effects

I usually don't get the time to review older skins but I'll keep this one in mind!
Overall it's a good skin but it's not what Coven should look like. I think jacket throws it off, she could just be without it, the catsuit would be enough with more feathers.
From the skin's description, it basically says she's supposed to bring style into this skinline which is why this skin looks so different compared to all the other skins.
I got the skin on the 3th day of the pass and i dont regret it! sure, i dont think this is fitting for coven, but her design (at least for me) is gorgeous. I feel like her face in the splashart looks kinda weird but the rest is fine to me and I've been playing with this skin since :)

Im here again to ask about Coven Morgana, i went trough the comments and im not the only one who wants to see her, my argument is that its a beautifull skin and would look fantastic in your edits (and if intro has coven eve with her, EVEN BETTER) but as always the video quality AND the intro is magnificent

The skin's description basically says it's( Akali) is bringing style into the skinline.
I guess Akali was added because she was a fan favorite and could actually work with outfits like this prestige skin. They have a point the only person I can see make these colors and outfit work is Evelynn but they already used her.
I was actually confused when i saw her prestige skin, cause it diddnt look like a coven skin at all..

Im happy Akali gotten love especially since i like the coven skinline but i think they couldve done better. Her main Coven skin looks like a dark version of her Star Guardian skin.
This should had been her main skin and it would make sense given Akali's past skins.

I feel like this skin's concept is "Coven Akali before she went full-blown Coven witch." Like a prestigious woman who bought into the dark arts for eternal beauty or whatever. Still, it could've been done a lot better with different design elements or on a different champ.

Realmente esperaba con ansias esta prestigio, esperaba verla con algún vestido o algo que resalte su femineidad, ya que en todas sus skins resaltan su rudeza, pero bueno, supongo que tenían que apelar a la mayoría de jugadores de Akali, que son hombres, asi que les cae ideal, lo malo es que mata la fantasía. No sé si es inspiración de brujas o inspiración de un caza brujas, o incluso puede confundirse con un vampiro, no transmite la idea de Coven, que se supone que son modelos con ropa inspirada en una temática.

I feel like all the generic features of the prestige skin, the radiance, the gold, the shine, just don't fit with the coven theme besides the fact that akali doesn't sell the dark witch fantasy very well.

I find it unfair to say that their model is mediocre and that it does not look like a coven, while the prestige skins of now no longer have any link with the history of the skins because they are just skins for a big fashion gala with different themes so to say that it doesn't look like a coven is a bit stupid.
Good point! Sadly the skin has other issues besides not looking like coven. The oversimplified textures on some of her parts, the weird splashart, the way the face doesn't match Akali, the bland pants. I'd give her a solid 8 if the issue was only in the name

KDA ALL OUT felt more prestigious than this skin. And actually, some vfxs have the same crystallized designs to them too so… it didn’t reach any new heights. Also, never noticed the birds on her passive before. I would say cool but they last .00002 seconds lol. Also don’t understand why there are random flowers in the vfx, rather than coven sigils. Don’t really care for the splash art as it looks nothing like Akali… in fact, weirdly enough, she looks like this 16 yearold girl I work with haha. Like exactly like her.
