I've been working so hard this last week to get my test booth set up. The previous booth displays I've had over the years has been completely scrapped, and I went in without any real vision and just went on instinct. I can't say I've ever been happy with how my booth looked at conventions, but this booth.... I am so proud of it you guys. It's so clean and cozy and dreamy!! I can't wait to show you the final product with the lights and the backdrop!
It was a real challenge to come up with a logical, visually-pleasing way to display all of my merch, but I think what I've done really does the trick. I have more product now than I've ever had before, and now that this is my full-time job, it was extremely important to me to make things presentable and a great representation of myself and my brand.

I saw someone do a hack on TikTok to add a dot of hot glue on the command hook so it’s closed off. So you can’t easily swipe off the keychain without opening the keychain clasp!

LOL that was actually my hack, I made that video! 😂 I ended up doing that after this convention because one of the keychains did get stolen 🥲

I hope this doesn't sound too weird, but I have been secretly following you for almost a year now, and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your honestly/sincerity about being an artist and running a small business. When you were talking about mental health, I felt like you were talking directly to me. I can definitely relate about having one thing go wrong and feeling discouraged the rest of the day. I think it's especially hard when I get on social media, because I do that thing where I always compare myself to everyone else and feel inadequate in the process. (Pretty much why I barely use any of my accounts.) And as an artist who also runs a small business, I've found that whenever I have days when I don't get a single order tends to make me feel like a failure as well. (Although I have plenty of "good" days too.) It seems like the highs are high and the lows are low. I can see why people get burned out. I'm not there yet, but it's a fear in the back of my mind that I someday will be.
Also, I just wanted to let you know that I was really excited to see this vlog and appreciate you sharing your journey with us! Your display looks so good, and I cannot wait to see the artist alley vlog to accompany this vlog in a few weeks!! I wish you the best of luck at both of your cons!

Not weird at all!! Secret followers are the best, and I appreciate you tuning in to my journey! I'm really glad my experiences and all that can be helpful to someone else, it makes everything feel a little less lonely.
I honestly loathe that social media has to play such a big part in art and small business. It's truly the number one thing that affects my mental health, and I know I'm not alone. And even the thought of taking a break is scary, because then I'd have to work extra hard to get my reach back! It's a nasty cycle.
