    nice to see someone givin RSE some love on the internet. they made some top quality stuff. I have 2 of the HP kits tony used to make. 1 thats done like 18000km over about 4yrs (and still works!! just needs exhaust bolts replaced) and 1 of the final Stage 3 HP kits he made in 2014 which is just a ripper of an engine 2! 65-70ph with 32 tooth sprocket and SBP expansionn chamber. too bad they are gone now due to australian laws not permitting motorized bikes on the road. so if you have any RSE stuff take good care of it cos there wont be any more :(

      In Australia, and especially in the state of Victoria, we have to put up with draconian legislation banning everything that could possibly be seen to be of social enjoyment; with regards to motorised transport. People had more freedom with motorised vehicles under the communist regime of Stalin's Russia.

    What's the stud spacing on that walbro carburetor? I have 32mm stud spacing on my reed valve as per the stud spacing on my motor for the intake.

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  Před 7 lety +1

      You will have to contact Rock Solid Engines to purchase the thermal isolation block, or make one up yourself out of Delrin plastic, or similarly stable thermoplastic.

    My ride is a beach cruiser,26". Being that I can't leave nothing stock, I am running a 66/80cc engine, with tuned pipe, racing 6cc head, hotter ignition, NGK 5 plug, box reed, and a bigger carb. 6" intake manifold tube between carb and reed. Currently working on leaning the carb out 1/4 turn at a time. Running with a 44 tooth, flat ground, on pipe, 33.9 mph. Engine just a singen.
    ZEDA engines....... balanced crank, ported cylinder and matched piston, and maybe better bearings. Some of the on line engines aren't so good, and I simply want to "upgrade".
    Is there a source for "balanced" cranks ????
    Finally, I am a R/C builder and pilot. Just an idea.....what about a glow plug adapter, hi compression head, tuned pipe and then run glow fuel, with 5%,10%, 15%, Nitro Methane. Fuels...Gasoline to air is 15 to 1 and Alcohol is 8 to 1. a much "fatter" needle setting. Fuel mileage won't be so good but, oh, what a ride.
    Just a guess, for a 66/80cc engine with this setup, horse power would be between 12 and 15 horsepower. Should blow you're hair back.
    From one "Engine Nut" to another, Thanks for all the great info.

      26” sounds a lot like stock size tubes to me, why’d you leave both of those alone? OEM tire much?

    Where about would I find a tutorial of some sort on installing a Walbro carburettor? Or are you planning on making a guide yourself?

      HighlanderGeek I will endeavour to make a tutorial on installing a Walbro style carburettor assembly.

      Thanks I am new to the motorised bicycles and there's other things I would love guides for and so far your limited videos on the topic have encouraged me to invest in the shift kit and eventually other little mods.

    My walbro carb don't have a crankcase pulse line

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  Před 9 lety

      Darius Sykes It will have a small hole drilled into the front face of the carburettor, which will then require a specific custom isolation block that enables you to tap into the block and attach a pulse line nipple, thereby allowing you to run fuel line hose to the crankcase.
      Your carburettor would normally be used on a chainsaw that has the pulse line built into the thermal isolation spacer, which then matches up to a small port in the cylinder that travels to the bottom of the cylinder, thereby allowing the carburettor to receive a crank case pulse signal, as shown in the web links below:

      Rokr Smith I have he same setup and have found the clone assembly carburetor to be worse than the original. Did you port your piston or the cylinder at all?

    • @HighestRank
      @HighestRank Před 5 lety

      Get a pneumatic fuel valve so that when your unclosed valves lower the compression too much, the corresponding drop in vacuum will shut off the petrol to keep your piston from burning up.
