Cool. Although by '86 I was all growed up, as a teenager, I used to buy most of my plastic model kits from Williams & Griffin. Used to walk into town from Monwick to even save the bus fare for the models :D

My grandfather was one of the four founding members of Willy Gs just before and after the Second World War (his obituary headline was "Turned small ironmonger's shop into a giant store"). I visited this cafe (and the nearby "poodle parlour") many times. Thanks for posting!
