Raph 22 Also a call back to the fact that the only injury batman withstood in the film that was explicitly shown was the one dealt by the hounds in the beginning, ensuing the whole suit changes. The Joker makes a couple of allusions to dogs in his lines. I remember I thought that that was so subtle and so brilliant at the time.

      yeah, at 0.36.
always wondered why dogs stick their head out and seem to be enjoying the wind blowing in their faces. ?
is it that they get multiple odours and want to trace the source OR
like joker, enjoy the wind blowing through their hair and cooling them down, feeling happy that he outwitted batman and gordon ?
joker does say to dent in gotham general, i am like a dog who chases a car not knowing what he will do when he eventually catches it.

But accually he isnt all about chaos. He focuses on specific people, that want to make the city a better place by eliminating the chaos, but by doing that they are accually the source of the chaos. It is like in the metaphor from Alfred. They are trying to catch a thief, that in their mind only wants the world ro burn. And how ate they chasing him? By burning down the whole forest. If the thiefs goal was to be the source of chaos, he just could have done the same. Just like Alfred, the Batman and the police are trying to solve the citys problem of chaos, but by doing that they are making it worse, because the mob is now forced ro expand and expand. While Batman only makes the mob stronger, the joker accually eliminates all the mafias by burning all their money and killing their leaders.

i would guess the message is to people who get so much money that it buys them , you see them when they don’t know what to do with all that money , because the initial intent was to get much money , not get money to do something , some achievement, and when you bring them the most important thing of all times , that requires some of their money , they aren’t moved , because all they want is money , not gold or glory , high art , heavenly everything, they just don’t care , they have money , their ultimate goal , what’s sad though is ‘they don’t work , they let work , and than have to keep diets’ , they don’t eat better than the poor man , by far worse , ‘they drive cars’ so does the poor man ‘they have girls’ , have you noticed , some of the most beautiful girls are to be found at some poor ppl places , the girls i see in the streets i don’t see walking the red carpet , no way , ‘they have big houses where they avoid their few family members all day’ , i was at not rich peoples family diners and hangouts etc , it’s strangely epic fun , until they get money , and even though they have the greatest things , they lose those by that panic ‘money money money’ , than they become poor life rich people (when they get money they get a certain lifestyle , a little arrogance or pride , and expensive things , than for all the people that visited them , it becomes a little difficult to visit them , the still poor people think now they’re better and stand back , and they lose the fun they had with social life , visits hanging out , most importantly satisfying conversations that cannot be performed with the by then rich who tell you they’re better by ignoring your talk , not engaging in conversation , holding themselves high)

@RainbowDreams30 Have you heard the gospel of Jesus Christ before? God's holy word the Bible teaches us that we have all sinned, we have all done things our God given conscience tells us are wrong, that keep us from experiencing His holiness and goodness in our lives.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Sins such as using His name in vain, to use the name of the God who created us and gave us life, without respect or reverence, and worse, often with disrespect, jesting or even hatred.
Exodus 20:7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
God is a just, holy and righteous God and in His love and goodness He must punish sin. If we are living sinful lives, breaking the ten commandments, and not acknowledging God in our hearts, God must punish us for our wickedness. God must send us to hell, a place of torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth, where all unrepentant sinners will go. Since we all have sinned, and fallen short, how can we be saved from this eternal place?
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
The good news, the gospel, is that God was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless and holy life, as Jesus of Nazareth, and sacrificed Himself for our sins. He shed His blood and died on the cross and took upon Himself the wrath of the Father so that we might go free. After being crucified, he was buried in a tomb, and then as prophesied, resurrected by the power of God and defeated sin, death and hell. Whosoever believes in Him and follows Him will have eternal life! Forgiven of all sin, saved from death and hell and given a new heart to truly know Him. That is the mercy and love that Christ showed on the cross. He was perfect, yet died for imperfect people like us. Please take the time, you are not promised tomorrow, to read these next verses humbly and honestly and pray for God to forgive you of your sin and grant you His Holy Spirit and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. God bless you in Jesus' mighty name! Amen.
Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

yeah ikr, it's so sad... Harvey didn't mind being the one perishing instead of Rachel, but he was totally crushed when he saw Batman break down the door (Batman himself was just as shocked that Joker switched the addresses, playing on Batman's weakness when he dived out to save Rachel in an earlier encounter). It didn't help that he fell on a puddle of gasoline which spilled out from an oil drum he accidentally toppled over. As he was taken to hospital, Harvey was still holding on to the hope that Rachel would survive, even when he was still in agonizing pain. The moment he saw one side of his lucky coin scorched and scratched, that gave him the painful answer as to what happened to Rachel. And that's where he lost his sanity, and he was better off dead, now that the love of his life had been tragically taken away from him. A loss that he finds it hard to accept, a loss that compels him to go down a dark path and decide the fates of others with the flip of his coin. The tragedy of Harvey in this film is IMO like a literature masterpiece, similar to Macbeth or Hamlet.

The sight of Batman standing on top of the rubble when you hear Rachel's voice really makes this an emotional moment and speaks so much volumes, it really adds to the sadness and shows you that a hero can't save everyone.

In his mind, he was surprised and very relieved, thinking he was going to see her again. And then he turns it over and sees its black, charred surface, and is met with the tragedy that she is in fact dead. The truth is, The Joker knew enough about who was under the mask to realise neither Dent or Batman were holding the city together. It was Rachel, both men so intimately connected to her.
Whether he broke Dent or Batman, either could've fallen. Dent was just easier to manipulate, especially since he wasn't who he portrayed himself as. The Joker seeks to expose the real identities of people, not their names but their souls. That's the joke. It doesn't matter who you say you are or can be, you'll always be somebody else underneath.
For all intents and purposes, this is the climax to the Dark Knight Trilogy. Batman couldn't leave behind Bruce Wayne and that became his greatest weakness. So what does he do? Hide.

Doesn't the Joker win in this one, turning Harvey Dent. All he needed was a little push.

The depth of dailogues in this movie will give a feeling which we cant get with even billions of dollars of CGI

As soon as bruce says *she was gonna choose me* , alfred takes away the letter.
He knew if bruce read the letter it would have broken him to the point that gotham's dark knight would have done something wrong/bad just like harvey dent did to all those people involved.

This sequence and its emphasis on consequences from trying to do the right thing and characters trying to deal with failure are a major reason why this movie is a masterpiece. Logan and Joker, two other masterpieces of the comic book genre, also emphasized consequences and failure and will stand the test of time as well.

Does anyone notice this scene is very similar to Batman Begins when Bruce was mourning his parents' deaths? Same music, mourning a loved one, Bruce blaming himself for their demise, Alfred comforting Bruce.
