COMPUTER STORE IN NORTH KOREA

  • Many people are asking about the technological developments in North Korea. About their knowledge of computers and the use of other electronic goods. North Korea today is different from North Korea before, now they are more open to technological developments. You can find some electronic and computer stores in Pyongyang city, and when you buy a computer or notebook then you will get it without a LAN port. The LAN port is removed, therefore we can not connect the notebook we bought with a LAN cable.
In this video, I followed my friend who bought a Notebook charger adapter at an electronics store in Pyongyang, North Korea. The store also sells various items such as televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, DSLR Cameras, External Hard disks, USB memory, Notebooks, and others.

For those of you who say that my videos are fake and propaganda, please open your mind. I just wanna share my experience over in North Korea, and of course a lot of things you do not know about North Korea except from the western.. North Korea is a closed country, North Korea is a developing country like some other countries. I do not want to discuss politics, because every country has the right to have its own political ideology. North Korea is a sovereign state, they never fight against any country, let them self-sufficient as a normal state. You would certainly say that I was a propagandist who supported North Korea. I am in a neutral position and not take sides anywhere.
Since I came to Pyongyang in November 2012 until I left Pyongyang in March 2016 I got so many experiences.
I just wanna share a bit of my life experience in North Korea, mostly in Pyongyang. We are foreigners (Diplomats, Expatriates) who live in Pyongyang can roam freely around Pyongyang, and diplomats got more privileged than other expatriates.
There are also many Americans (USA), Canadians, Korean American who works as teachers and professors in Pyongyang.
Foreigners can travel to other cities outside Pyongyang, but we must request permission to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea.
Since I lived in North Korea, I already travel to other cities in Northern, Western, Southern and Eastern side. Sometimes I travel with a minder, sometimes I just drive my car by my own and with my family (without a minder).
I try to give a glimpse of important information about North Korea through my video.. I think you should give me a little respect, I don't care about politic situation in North Korea, that's not my business, every country has they own system and no of them is perfect.
    And many people asking me:
"why I’m not taking video of the country side?” because when I visit the countryside of North Korea, I just taking pictures not videos.
“why only pictures?” because it was not really free for me to do filming and I focus to do my job.
I have free time when I was in Pyongyang usually in my weekend and then I do the filming while doing my regular activity.
Thanks. Sorry for my bad english.

Hi.. I wanna tell you about something. Some people said that "Indonesians can be free to life in NK because, Indonesia is pro communist". That's not 100% right. Our first president, Mr. Soekarno, he wanted to make a friends with many countries so, Indonesia could increased our economic and social walfare. Indonesia stimulated many countries to declare their independent. At that time, USA and EUROPE were bussy to prepare their aggression to their ex colonial lands and hoped they can take it back. But, Indonesia, we supported the independent for them. And communist countries like soviet and north Korea, they didn't focus to attack new countries at that time like Indonesia or countries in africa. That's why Indonesia could make a good relationship with them. I hope it's answer your correction about Indonesian relationship with North Korea. We're Indonesians we're not Communists and we have a good Democration our country.

did you just say that soviets did not attack other nations? The soivet union was the same as america in its aims to spread its ideology they attacked multiple other nations and regularly put down counter revolutions' with force in places like Poland and Ukraine to name a couple that constantly were violently brought back into the fold. They were the same imperial expansionists as america but just on the other side of the coin in terms of economies. The soviet union collapsed because they lost the will to continue invading their satellite states and putting down rebellion's. The soviet union would have collapsed very early on if they did not have the will to fight other nations who wanted to choose their own forms of government. For example just to show how similar America and soviets were in terms of aggressive foreign policy the invasions of Vietnam and Afghanistan were almost exactly the same. Vietnam wanted to be communist and got invaded and Afghanistan wanted to be capitalist and got invaded. Both were wars the the intent of force feeding ideology to weaker nations. The soviet union could not afford and did not want to continue constantly engaging in war and it collapsed when instead of being invaded the soviet states were allowed to just leave. The problem with the soviets that america did not face was that inside of the soviet union states actively wanted to succeed and had to be met with violence where as in america the last civil war was very long ago (over 100 years) with no state succession attempts since leaving thus nation much more stable. You can only hold a union together against its will for so long before everybody gets tired of fighting. North korea was a soviet puppet and south korea was an american puppet. Both sides sought to expand their perspective ideologies. However at the end of the day capitalism and individual wealth turned out to be the dominant force and now wars are fought economically and for money no longer does anybody but north korea care about things like communism. China and russia care more about money than ideology in the modern world and capitalism is needed to make that money.

The amount of people watching this as a "news report" and not as a "vlog / my diary in NK" is alarming. People, please. Would you risk yourself reporting an illegal red district or black market activities in your country if you are not a reporter? He is not even reporting. He's just, "Hey y'all! I'm in NK and I will show you what I do today" kinda thing.
Gosh this reminds me of my days when I'm about to travel to Russia to attend n international conference and everyone around me is panicking "Don't go! Russian is evil! A communist country will kill you!" Sigh...
