    I’m not in any way a fabrication expert, but what you produced must be totally unique, the cost in man hours alone would make it extremely expensive. You and the lads did very well. I am however experienced in production. I feel that after all that graft, powder coating might have been a better paint option, personally I would have shelled out the extra and had it galvanized first. Just saying, it will outlive most of us anyway.

    This is the coolest collaboration project that I've ever seen! I have too many parts that are my favorite: the home-made dies, the attention to details (cold chiselling off the slag), the solutions to problems (setting up large pieces in front of the forge and surrounding them with fire bricks, the many decades of experience all working together, and of course... The final piece!
    The gap between the doors are absolutely perfectly symmetrical! I like the other side not welded; it gives the doors added personality and it wasn't needed anyway.

    if it"s not a 100% you restart it until it is ! he thought me to apply myself and make beautiful ornaments of all kinds, all hand made the old fashion way. he was put in jail by the nazis during the second world war because he refused to fight!
    he was a good man and thought me some good work ethics. his name was HANS KLEIN, R.I.P. old man you deserve it.

  • @nathantron

    If I may recommend. Try digging a shallow hole, and using giant plastic sheets and make a bath to put the gates in(or any larger piece of metal), and then use electroplating to make sure it will never rust. It creates a phenomenal result and it is nearly guaranteed to last more than a lifetime then. The hinges often last much longer too because it's a microscopic bond with the material. So as long as its greased, it will last ages...

    • @PaskMakes
      @PaskMakes  Před 3 lety +2
