    Ironically despite being kicked out of the Order, Ahsoka cling to the fault of the Order longer than Obi-Wan and Yoda did.

    I didn’t have a problem with how Ahsoka was acting, but I feel like the way she’s been acting could’ve been explained in the series so the audience who haven’t seen the Clone Wars can better understand what she’s been through

    One small correction: there are two issues in the show's stoicism -- Ashoka being stoic and the show not being very fun. The first problem is remedied via character growth. The second is still a work in progress, though it seems to be coming along better now. That Sabine, Hera, the people with red lightsabers, the pilots, etc. all seem to be withing a narrow emotional and dramatic wavelength isn't helping much with the fun factor.

      I fr don't know why anyone think blank slate ahsoka was more entertaining. She was so much better after episode 5 and dealing with her trauma, so clearly that was the writers intent, but she didn't have to be nothing.
      And despite writers intent, it doesn't even work. It's not because of her trauma! Compare her appearance in the mandalorian to her appearance in the start of ahsoka. She hasn't had any life changing trauma between these two appearances.
      People are gonna really hate this, but rey had more character and personality within 5 minutes of her first appearance than ahsoka had in the first 4 episodes of this show.
      It was just blatantly unenjoyable. I was more interested in huyang.
      Thank fuck the latter half of the season picked up drastically.
      AND I SAY THIS AS SOMEONE WHO ENDED UP LOVING THIS SHOW!! The last 4 episodes were fire, and even e4 had me pretty intrigued. Its my 3rd favourite live action show. I just don't think it's good that huyang and shin hati were more intriguing than the title character for 4 episodes straight.

    I watched both clone wars and rebels, loved both series. Ahsoka 'stoic-ness' made sense if you watched the animated series. In rebels you see ahsoka as a matured adult and she is more reserved. She was somewhat already going that stoic path. Its just in live action that stoic-ness really got exaggerated, making her seem so out of character suddenly.

    Look, George Lucas is not on board so that means is not going to be great stories. George is a story teller. Director but more story teller. If you watch the star wars movies documentaries from ep 1 thru 6 in pre production, some people had ideas or thought how the story should go, but Lucas always said no. He gave liberty for suggesting character looking, planets, etc but as one ilm supervisor said that george found the idea and character great bit not for his movie.
    He knew very clear how characters should behave and even look. And he didnt care if you like it or not, or if it make money, because it was his movie.
    Now, these Filonis and others try to please everybody (which cannot be possible), make it commercial due to pressures from disney and bend to the focus group result studies.
    George made the original and great car. All the other are trying to make the replica car. Some are ok, some bad, but at the end they are replicas and not the original. And we all want the original. Sadly we wont get it because George sold the company and he is very old.

    • @exjdawg
      @exjdawg  Před 7 měsíci +5

      You do understand that Dave Filoni worked directly under and with George Lucas and they both created the clone wars TOGETHER... Its not all George Lucas. And Dave Filoni is literally the #2 person who would know anything about star wars because of his close relation with George. Dave Filoni is creating the original star wars that george lucas wanted to make

    • @exjdawg
      @exjdawg  Před 7 měsíci +2

      They dont have to focus on ahsoka... Ahoska is one of the greatest characters in star wars due to her arc in the clone wars and rebels and because she was such a well received character in those 2 shows, they brought her into live action and gave her the show she deserves.

    • @PianoRenditioner
      @PianoRenditioner Před 7 měsíci

      @exjdawg well Ill be the one on the other side who didn't receive her all too well. For me, it took too long to flesh out her character. All of her growth was in an animated show. that's why the live action looks amazing. We worked backward. You can tell Vaders story without her. It wasn't until recent years that she became so pivotal in his storytelling.

    • @MrRobinson758
      @MrRobinson758 Před 7 měsíci

      @@PianoRenditioner The animated shows were amazing. That’s where she was introduced so that’s where her story was told. If you didn’t like it, that’s fine. Not all media is for all people. And sure you can tell Vader’s story without her, but you shouldn’t considering their history.

    I have to look away when Ahsoka is on screen because her slow movements agitate me. Watching her slowly walk across a room or moving her arms slowly in a different position is painful. Only watching the show for Anakin appearances and dropping it immediately like every other Disney disaster. LOL!

    So there's no space for being subtle. To make point, Ahsoka needs to be dull and bored, which she wasn't even in Rebels.

    • @jamzy1837
      @jamzy1837 Před 6 měsíci

      She wasn't even in the mandalorian. Idk why people think she would be now.
      Srsly, go back to that mandalorian episode. She was calm and confident, but wise. She showed plenty of emotion in one line alone "I've seen what such powers can do to a fully trained jedi knight", she smiled and expressed sadness, and most of all, she actually had character.
      For the first 4 episodes here, she felt like a brick wall. She did perk up after trauma dump episode 5, and I think the writers intent was exactly that, but, it sucked.
