Great review, thank you for posting this!
Thanks for watching, I enjoyed trying these out 👍🍕
FIRST!!!🎉 Those products look great! Thanks for the review. It helps me make up my mind on these products. Cheers Tom!
Thanks mate!
Keep them coming!!
Thanks for watching 👍🍕
Great video!
Detroit style pizza is the best!!! Nice video!
I’m very much a fan of the Detroit style! Thanks for watching
Great video, Tom. I've been meaning to branch out from neopolitan-style pizzas so this might be the ticket!
They were really good and a nice new recipe to try too! Looking forward to doing some more pizzas and bread with these pans in the coming months!
Nice one, great video thanks. I've been wanting to do Detroit style for ages so I'm going to look at these. Do you know if either size will fit into a Gozney Roccbox at all? Thanks
Thanks for watching! Go for it, they're really tasty! I'm really bot sure, You should be able to check the dimensions on both Ooni and Gozney 🍕👍
Ooni alternatives...
Really enjoy your reviews. I like the Ooni Pizza ovens but find that there are cheaper alternatives to all the accessories, dough, etc. Also with the non stick pans if you use a metal spatula it will damage the the non stick coating. Originally the Detroit pizza pans were made using cast iron pans from the Ford Production line. I dabbled with Detroit and Siciliana style pizzas which are similar but did not like fried bread base that happens.
Sorry nyc but Detroit Pizza 🍕 is my favorite pizza style, I am going to buy this Ooni
It was very tasty and i'll be making it again 👍🍕
Great looking pizza, what brand is the table you were using when you were showing the new ooni products? Thanks
It’s the Ooni folding table, I usually use it outdoors but it works well for filming I indoors too
💛
❤️🍕
Looks amazing. Do you know how long you’d cook it for in a normal fan oven?
Thanks so much! In a normal fan oven at 250c I would par bake for around 8 minutes but it’s hard to say, best to give it a try and check it regularly and use your initiative, if it looks like it needs a bit longer stick it back in!
Great video as always Tom! Are you using a new camera? seems to be some focus blurring throughout the first 2 mins :)
Thanks mate! No a new lens that works better in lower light for the winter months, but has a very shallow depth of field so struggles sometimes with the focus. Usually my wife helps behind the camera but I filmed this one on my own
Nearly bit my lip when you took a bite 🍕😂
Ouch!
Made me hungry. But i think it needs more sauce
It was very tasty 👍🍕
Great video and nice pizza. If you can find “Brick” cheese use that instead of mozzarella as that’s the traditional cheese but it can be difficult to find even here in the states.
Only way to get it is having a friend fly from the States to the UK, which is next to impossible given how out of the way one must go to get it there in the first place. Best chance is O'hare to Heathrow as there are a few shops in Chicago that carry Widmer et al but it is a time consuming trek in Chi town to do so.
@@slofty yes it’s difficult to get in Texas too, actually have to mail it from the shop. The cheese factory is about 2 hours from Chicago. It’s a small shop and have some amazing cheeses they make.
@@kevintrom6621 Yeah, I know. My point (further) is that next to no one from the UK is there or even in Milwaukee where there are several shops with the goods before heading down to ORD.
Think of it this way: there is a rare type of foodstuff west of Västerås and a type of dish can only be made properly by using it. How likely will you have a friend from Texas lose time to venture far outside of the typical Swedish destinations just to pack it next to their dirty luggage clothes for you? Not gonna happen. It's already an uphill struggle to get my nearest and dearest to bring things _within_ Sweden, so you can imagine I know better than asking colleagues to do the same before they depart Stateside.
Edit: please forgive my directness.
@@sloftyyou honestly don’t know me 😂😂😂 I’ve travelled to some weird places to find the right stuff. 😂😂. I understand what you mean and appreciate Tom’s video on this pizza. Personally I’d use his version unless I was to happen to travel to Wisconsin.
@@kevintrom6621 Well then you are a rare and valuable type of friend! Especially for an American, too.
Wonder how long that non stick will last when using a metal spatula!! 😮
Hopefully a regular use of oily dough and hot ovens will off set any scratches by building up a nice patina of seasoned goodness!
When I clicked on this video I wasn’t paying close attention and had a brain fart. I heard the accent and heard the name Tom and thought “wait, why’s the guy that owns Gozney making a video with Ooni products?” Sadly it took me a solid minute to realize this wasn’t Tom Gozney lol. They don’t even look alike or sound that similar. But what can I say I’m a typical clueless American.
The sad thing is I’ve watched a lot of this Tom’s videos.
Getting old sucks, oh yeah I like the video. It was nice to see a non Detroit or even pizza made in the pan. I think I need to order one.
Hahaha i guess we all sound the same over here 🤣😝
Detroit style pizza, not for me! But thanks for the tips
Luckily there's a pizza style for everyone 😁 thanks for watching! 👍🍕
Pizza Foccacia
Definitely going to do a focaccia bread using these pans!
It’s a pan pizza
Correct - 10 points to you
