Автора песни Магжана Жумабаева в 30-е годы прошлого века посадили в тюрьму. Ему пришло сообщение о том, что его любимая жена вышла замуж за другого. Он написал ей это стихотворное письмо. Жена ему не изменяла, это был наговор. Впоследствие, когда поэта расстреляли, именно его жена сохранила его труды, пряча их где придётся - вплоть до матрасов. А её преследовали как жену врага народа. Вот такая история у этой необыкновенно красивой песни! Спасибо, Барри! Вы как представитель очень поэтичного народа с нелегкой историей оцените. ❤️🇰🇿
На самом деле неотправленное письмо сохранила вторая жена.
Аймхан Бейсенова, Зулейха, о которой идёт речь была третьей женой поэта. Первая умерла, со второй он расстался по другим причинам. Его невзгоды арестов разделила с ним именно Зулейха, которую оговорили. Пока Магжан сидел, она обивала пороги и даже ездила к Максиму Горькому, по заступничеству которого и освободили Магжана. Недолгое время они счастливо жили с Зулейхой, но потом опять арест и гибель. Расстрел - официальная версия, считается, что его забили до смерти. Ну и Потом Зулейха верила, что Магжана реабилитирует и оценят и приложила все усилия чтобы сохранить его рукописи. Впервые его стихи опубликовали в 1989. Зулейхе - Апай посвящена книга С.Бакенова «Верность». 😍😍
Песню написал Мухамедканапия Бахрамулы Шакшаков в народе Сегыз Серы 1818-1854 гг . И. Жумабаев во первых поэт , а не композитор, и как вы представляете ,написать какое-то произведение, в застенках НКВД, где ежедневно избивали, ломали рёбра, выбивали зубы, отбивали все внутренние органы. По моему мнению ,многих наших репрессированных забили до смерти, хотя отписывались расстрелян. Источник: Сегыз Серы Тандамалы Шыгармалары 1 и 2 том автор песен: Дайдидау, Гайни, Гаухартас, Назконыр и др.

Композиция «ДАЙДИДАУ» имеет большое значение для Димаша Кудайбергена. Она занимает особое место в репертуаре артиста. Песня долгое время считалась народной . Однако изучив творчество Магжана Жумабаева, учёные-филологи сделали заключение, что автором Дайдидау является Магжан . Казахско - советский писатель, поэт, публицист, педагог, философ, один из основателей новой казахской литературы. Ссылку на источник не смогла скопировать.

This sad and regretfulsong was writen by kazakh poet during communist's terror, when he was imprisoned and he found out that his beloved wife wanted to divorce him (which was not true). Later this poet was freed thanks to the efforts of his wife, but several years later he was imprisioned again and executed.

The best version of Daididau - heartbreaking - is at a concert by Dimash Bastau (mean the beginning). His first big concert after returning to Kazakhstan after Singer. 40,000 people, including thousands, came from all over the world. Dimash's dream has always been to sing Daididau in front of an international audience - and it came true at this concert. Moved, Dimash cried at the end. And we Dears love him very much💖. Hi Barry! I'm sure you don't want to do another reaction to the same song, but for your pure enjoyment please watch his performance of this song at his Bastau concert. There's a wonderful surprise at the beginning and a very, very powerful ending. Please watch until the video stops on it's own or you might miss the ending.
Stunning! I love the way he allowed a long silence at one point, and you could feel the audience holding its breath, and when he started singing again it was the gentlest most pure sweet emotional tone. He commands the stage in so many ways. And he looks like Royalty in that beautiful outfit, he pulls it off with such grace and beauty and presence..

He sings this at his concerts and gets the audience to sing the chorus with him. Even in NewYork, the audience know the Kazakhstan words. He is in tears at the end of that concert because of sharing his culture, Also at that concert, he sings Durduraz which is another Kazhak song, but really fast, which he dances to as well. Really fun.
Michael Elliott I wish I had been at this concert but I watch it on his channel. That part when the audience sings with him is so emotional, I was not there but I felt proud of the Dears for making his dream come true.

Hi Barry--great reaction! One of the greatest things about you is that you so genuinely love Dimash. This is one of my all-time favourite songs by him, partly because of the true story behind it. I realize watching Gloria Wu's videos is kind of a contentious issue among the Dears, but I would encourage you to watch it--even on your own time--just to better understand what the song is about; I find it absolutely heartbreaking. Daididau is the name of a woman, the wife of a social activist who was imprisoned. In the video, Dimash also talks a bit more about his heritage, the traditional instruments, and he says that being able to sing this song on The Singer means he's achieved his biggest goal, which was to share a song that is so important to the Kazakh culture with the rest of the world. xo

Life is so short, Barry, and I'm finally figuring out that we need to reach for whatever we can. Sunday an armed man went into Cierra's store and manhandled her, held a gun to her head as the cashier got him all the money. She was off yesterday, but getting ready to go in. I'm scared to death to let her go, but I guess I have to, huh? I could have lost her, ya know? I don't think I could handle that. It was a wakeup call, Barry... We have to live while we have the chance.

@Lana My God that’s horrible! Please tell Cierra I’m happy she’s okay (well, as okay as you can be after such a thing) and I’m sorry she and her workmates had to go through that. I’m not a parent so I can’t imagine how it must feel for you to hear about your baby in such a nightmarish situation. Be proud that you raised her well, she Clearly did the right thing in the moment and it played out the best way it could. An extremely traumatic experience for her to endure and for you to hear about as a caring mother.
I understand you are worried about her returning to work, I’d be feeling the same way, but that’s her decision and luckily it’s a rare occurrence and most importantly she did everything right.
While she’s working there she could submit applications to other jobs in the area if she feels she’d like a change of setting.
I’m not trying to trivialise what happened, that would be impossible. I’m just trying to think positive:
That nightmare is over, it’s done, it’s gone and let’s all be grateful with the outcome.I know that’s easier said than done but what other option do we have? Let’s try and see the positive in every situation even the bad ones.
Plus your beautiful daughter now has an incredibly exciting story to tell to anyone and everyone that will listen.

She did handle it like a pro, calmly, did everything he asked, and when it was over, after she locked the doors, after she called the police, after she called the Home Office, then and only then did it hit her, she let it out in the office before calling me. She knew she had to be calm then. She says, "Mom, I'm okay, but there is something I have to tell you, don't freak out".
I knew the minute she said it that it was a robbery, (which NEVER happens in this town) but I knew by the seriousness of her voice that she wasn't about to tell me she was pregnant or ran off w/some dude to Vegas.
I stayed calm until we got off the phone and THEN I freaked out.
Barry, children give your life another whole new meaning, but boy can they give you grey hairs.
Between Crystal's big rig accident into a Texas River last year, and swimming out w/ her back broke in four places and now, this?
I have to look toward the opposites of "what ifs" and just reflect on the blessings they both came out of this okay. God was watching over them.

Very sad Kazakh song with heartbreaking back story, besides Dimash playing dombra the musicians behind him also in traditional costume were all Dimash's friends from university in Kazakhstan and flown to China especially for this performance on the Singer competition. 👌👌👌👌😊😊

Its just called Daididau, the ay is added only for the song. The ensemble playing with Dimash are his classmates from his university, he got costumes made in record time and flew the all to China as he so desperately wanted to show his culture to the world, the traditional clothing Dimash wears is called a Shapan. He promotes his music and culture at every one of his concerts and its truly beautiful. He is just finishing his new album, its all Kazach songs. He asked if we Dears would be interested in a fully Kazach album, we said yes and he kept his promise. He always keeps his promises, he is a man of his word, and he is releasing a new song on CZcams anytime now, or as Dimash and his t-shirt tells us "SOON" 😄💖🥰

It's me Barry This morning. I don’t know where he has been for me until today. Or where I have been. Lost my hubby a year ago and since today I can feel I’m not dead inside anymore.... Hurts, but beautifully .... touches me so deep inside. Cracked me up, everything I have buried inside of me is in the open now. I’m alive.

The instrument is called dombra and it is of Kazakh origin, the lover of her homeland in all her concerts includes the traditional music of her country, it is really a pleasure to listen to it, and see the pride it shows for its roots, never cease to surprise you the essence of our beloved Dimash, receives a big hug from a distance! 😘❤️🙏🇲🇽
this is one of my farites from him, because its traditional, dont get the words but the feeling.
It's so difficult to find enough superlatives to describe what Dimash does. The voice, the clothing, the backdrop, his control of the audience, and his stage presence are all out of this world. This particular song (and I don't understand a word) makes me want to cry and I'm a 69 year old American male.
I adore Dimash in his native garb. He looks like a Prince. Regal and so fitting.
IMO...Dimash is an old Soul and I wouldnt be surprised that he once was a King in past.
