Read his updated skills. They increased his crit scaling from 1.5 to 1.6. You simply just need the crit tier 1 rune and berserker now to have over 60% crit.

Lings damage in this patch was allocated to his Skill 2, a massive damage increase and damage scaling increase.They also increased his overall crit scaling on his S1 from 1.5 to 1.6, but in the process they lowered both his crit damage and his attack speed growth from items by 40%. Pre rework Ling already had 30% less attack speed than normal, 70% attack speed growth total, so he was a very terrible pick since he had 0 damage at every stage of the game.
By increasing the damage on his skill 2 and increasing his crit scaling from 1.5 to 1.6 it now allows you to freely build lethality, Hunter Strike and Blade Of Hepta, while also only requiring 1 crit item and rune to be set. The problem that makes the rework garbage is that they lowered his attack speed growth and Crit damage even more so it’s not exactly fixing the issue with his kit, just simply changing his build path so he can deal more damage than before.
