- Hello everyone, and welcome back to DD5! Today, Michael is on Uber for a while moving one of these HUGE PILES of limbs and trees. After that, it's time to finish the framing out the bathroom in the SHOUSE for the kids! Let's get to work!

Pouring gas on a fire is very unsafe. Fire can follow gas to can and explode. Please be safe. Your family needs you. So thankful for Gary helping you. You will get so much done and learn so much from Gary.
It's true.. So many do it, but it always makes me cringe. I'm trying to think k of an option, so far I can't think of another way to get that fuel on the fire without being at risk. The way dogman lights his fires seems safer, but then there's the cost of the tool and propane.
have you ever seen the body of someone throwing fuel on a burning fire as the fire came back to the can? it is not what one likes to see. I know it will never get you till it does. that my friend is not a good idea to keep doing.
I have and it is a horrible sight.

Get some diesel to do fires way better....used motor oil as long as you don't mind the smell. In the bathroom, make sure you put headers in the wall where you plan on putting fixtures and install plumbing rough in before you start sheeting. Remember if possible plumbing in inside walls and give access incase you need to repair things

suggestion if not already done
is to put wide blocking in wall all around the inside of the bathroom for mounting bathroom accessories like towels bars ect also recommend for around the tub if tub installed one set at top tub level another at around waist height for future need maybe for putting hand rail support only if needed should some one be injured or develop balance issue

Mike ! Put a sliding barn door 🚪 in for your bathroom it will save room
Are you going to extend the loft out over the bathroom?? That’s make a cool sleeping area!! You could have the ladder on the other side of the bathroom. Gives you a lot more usable space!

Make drawer-stairs, it's a 2 in 1. I've seen some that were very clever and good looking. Just a thought. It's starting to take shape, soon you two will be all alone in the trailer, lol.

Hurts my heart seeing the brush piles just burnt, our firepit was never not burning from spring til snow fall, every year we also stockpiled 15 cord of wood for winter heating. Branches from the size of our wrist was cut and stacked,,, smaller was stored for kindling. We cooked all meals every day on our wood stoves and firepits.

Put plenty of insulation in bathroom walls and all. If you don't you will hear all the toilet flushes and any other noises all over the shed. Not good! Costs a little more but prevents problems later. As teens do like their music loud. Or TV.😊

I love pocket doors.. But when you see the mechanics inside the walls and potential issues, I agree that the barn door in this situation is best.

I've been waiting for a house doo video. Putting the ceiling over the bathroom makes the upstairs so much bigger. This will be perfect for the kids. You could even build steep stairs and have a walkway all the way across so the kids can visit upstairs as well as down. Are you a Lyssa moving your bedroom to the downstairs. It might be tight, but being close to the kids would be better than not. Like in case of fire or bears. You need to be able to protect your kids, and if ya'll stay in the camper you won't hear if they cry in the night because they're sick or have a fever or diarrhea. Or if a bear is trying to get in because he smells candy. You can use the camper as the kitchen/dining room and living room or "daytime area". Fire really worries me in wooden cabins where you do your own electrical. Make sure there are at least 2 fire extinguishers on hand and that the kids all know how to use it properly.

When you use a saw,set it so that you're not cutting so deep. Set the blade so that it's only an inch past what you're cutting. That way you can use your trisqare as a guide and make a straight cut. Try it

A little advise do as much as possible your pluming, pipes and pecs inside de shouse so it won’t freeze or deteriorate plus it will be easier to access if need be. And then you can hide it in inbox wood.
