You should watch this song called, "Vennilave Vennilave" with Prabhudeva and Kajol, composed by AR Rahman, which is also kind of an inspiration for this I guess. It's both in the classic musical kinda look. Vennilave Vennilave is really iconic in Tamil cinema.

Hate to blow the bubble but Vennilave Vennilave itself wasn't exactly an original dance number...You can see many of the same moves from the the song and dance, Love is here to stay in An American in Paris...At the very least, Vennilave Vennilave was inspired from that movie...
@@sargunan I think any dance in the moonlight, with two lovers and some sort of "Classic Hollywood" style of dance steps can't be really considered original and would trigger the same memories. Someone is dancing with an umbrella in the rain?...boom...Gene Kelly! Our minds work in a strange way... We make connections according what we know and find familiar. I would have never mentioned "La La Land" because i've never watched that. My first though was "Vennilave" not because of the steps, or the homage to Hollywood Musicals, but because it's from another (iconic) Tamil film!

Did you know that there was a wardrobe fix in this song? Nithya’s top was a bit short, so they cut the two ends of her shawl and added it to her dress to get the length. Very creative solution on the spot. Fun fact!

Actually this is the first time I am watching the full song although it was trending and all over indian social media.. I like it... 😊 But I wish nithya had also sung.. but then, I guess the context demands something else since it's about him talking about his date n all . Ah! Something about nithya so alluring..
