    Mariah's success was a BEASTT in the 90s!!!!
    Vision of Love was her debut single!! Its perfect!!
    She had a number one single for 11 consecutive years starting from 1990!
    She deserves to be a diva for having written and coproduced all of her discography!!! 🍻 And she is a diva because people don't give her credit where it's due!

      She is unbelievablely talented but she's a diva because she's been on a pedestal for three decades. In other words because she can be. I'm not hating on her, if people worshipped me like they do her I'd be a diva too

    Hm did not realize that Mariah was not a "normal person". Weird comment. It's crazy how people can just sit and judge an artist they do not know. Mariah is one of the most humble and gracious individuals who takes the time out of her day to talk..interact with her fans..get to know the people who love her artistry. Many people say she is the nicest celebrity you'll meet. This weird notion that she is a diva is...again, weird. How can someone judge a person that they do not know personally? This constant ridicule and judgment is why Mariah plays up any type of grievances that people have against her. She's been ridiculed unfairly by the media and general public her entire career and it's insane.Take some time to recognize Mariah as the person she really is and also to recognize her artistry as the greatest female artist..female vocalist in history who writes her own music, co-produces and arranges her music as well. Michael and Mariah were the only artists to be given The Male and Female Artist Of Millennium title. She has the most # 1's of any solo artist in history(wrote all but one of them and has spent the most weeks at # 1 in music history) Just to name a few of the thousands and thousands of her accomplishments. Also, side note..a lot of people enjoyed Mariah's version of I'll Be There..so much, it went # 1. Check out her amazing work of music.

    Thanks for the video.
    At one time in the video you "realized" that you grew up "a whole bunch of black music". That is totally normal. We all grow up to some kind of music (colour, style, age, group, etc). Being conscientious of the fact without resenting it for being "limited" is just a step in discovering that music is a bigger world than any one single human can wholly embrace.
    After all, music is a "building" being constructed by all mankind.
    Accepting that one doesn't have to like every music out there, not with arrogance but by being humbled by it, is a step in being a little less narcissistic and being free to change our mind later if life permits.
    In my younger days, that was not an uncommon point of view, but unfortunately these days it seems that the trend is that everybody has to have the same tastes and ideas...
    A note: you mentioned Killing Me Softly by the Fugees, but you should take the time to listen to the Roberta Flack version (1973) that really made that song known. Here is a link to check the studio version: czcams.com/video/k4A5XuMz_Tw/video.html (but there are also some live ones out there).

    You’ve totally sussed out Vanilla. He actually used Queen/ David Bowie “Under Pressure “ without their consent. They sued the parachute pants right off him!
    Queen / Bowie =1
    Vanilla = 0

    A better Bruce Springsteen song is Dancing In The The Dark. You should do a reaction to that song.

    man this is a pop countdown..you are missing all the real good songs and artists like Buck-eyed Cherry, Gin Blossoms, Van Gogh's Daughter, etc. I was on the west coast and these songs in your video were not on the playlist because they were rock stations. need to find a diff 90s recap.

    I hated the song barbie girl back then and I still hate it. It's 1 of the dumbest songs i've ever heard in my life. I don't know how that song became hit.

    I never liked ice ice baby either. If I'm honest I actually prefer the original`(Under Pressure`) by Queen. I'm not even a big Queen fan! Sorry Vanilla Slice!
