If anyone's wondering why you fight ghirahim here, it's because Ghirahim was fabulous enough to beat the true boss of the temple before link even arrived.

I love how these people have such skilled fighting. When I battle Ghirahim, or any boss really, I get all panicked and just slash my sword around, and hope for the best.
Do What You Can the key to the bosses is to remain calm and focus on the enemy and the projectiles. You’ll find you breeze through them. But when it comes to the imprisoned, I can’t help you. Just look at a walkthrough or something. And I realised 5 minutes ago writing this comment that I’m 3 years late.
@@noone6991 first and second phase you can jump straight on his head and strike his pillar down…the third time you can do the same thing except you have to stun him with grooses machine first then jump on his head and strike down…You don’t need to attack his toes

I love him so much! And I love Nintendo for being brave and giving us a bad guy that they knew would be controversial, strange, and scary. This is what true evil should be, something truly terrifying. Also, Ghirahim was made in the first place to mock the goddess's weapon, it's very fitting for him to be so flamboyant, mocking and cocky, as his whole being is to make fun of the master sword and of everything to do with the goddess.

We don’t technically beat him, he just realizes that playing with his food, is letting Zelda slip away so he moves on. Technically we won the first fight but only on a technicality.

I personally find this style of fight the main antagonist a little better. It's just more realistic and requires thinking. Not that there's anything wrong with the good old tennis method.

Say what you want about this game, but Link is REALLY expressive in the game. He has a ton of personality without saying a word. I love it.
I can’t get over how creepy and intimidating Ghirahim is. He’s a weapon. And the fact that he licks his sword everytime he hits you. TP was the first Zelda game I ever played, and I remember people like Zant. I thought they were scary. SS was the second game I ever played and I remember running into ghirahim for the first time. I couldn’t play the game for a week.
I find it funny how nobody realizes that when the spikes surround you, you have to spin attack sideways, and when the firm above your head, you have to spin attack upwards.

They sure changed Ghirahim's dialogue a lot in the English version. I played the German version and it was translated directly from the Japanese original - a lot of things he says are really different. (Not complaining, I sometimes even prefer his English text haha)
Well, for example there's no "make your ears bleed from your own screams" or "fills my heart with rainbows" lol.
ZOE GABANY Instead of the sentence with the rainbow he says (I'll just translate the whole speechbubble) "Could it be that there is another time gate in existence? ...excellent!" and instead of the ears bleeding part he just says "If I may quote myself...I promised I'd make your life a living hell. How about I take that back?".
There are also some notable differences in the dialog in the (both European and Latin American) Spanish language versions. I wonder how close they are to the original Japanese dialog.

I've played many LoZ games, and I can very easily say Ghirahim is the most fascinating antagonist I've encountered yet. Love him. Love his personality. Love his mannerisms. Love his metro-sexuality. Love his bad-ass-titude. Love his sick humor. Love him as the primary enemy of this entry. He so starkly contrasts everything else about the game that you have to enjoy him...even if his tongue is horrifying.

Probably because you know the strategy to dealing damage to him. And quite a few moves of his are like other (sword hits are like stale master, dodging is easy, and you shoud know most moves by now)
