With such a bizarre character inhabiting such a bizarre world, there unavoidably have been a lot of conspiracy theories that have sprouted regarding the Kirby series over the years. He is one of the most Powerful and Dangerous Nintendo Characters ever...good thing he's such a Sweetheart.

Kirby canonically can't be evil. He's a reincarnation of void but he was born from pure positive energy, even his shadow clone isn't evil. beings of darkness can not corrupt his soul or mind because he's so pure he is. He simply can't have malicious intentions.
He may not be perfect at a hero, but his mind is always in a positive direction and that's just part of being Kirby.
Powerful? All the times he defeats Gods or that one time he cracks the planet in two is always due to outside help, whether it be copy abilities or something like the Star Rod. True, he's the only one to escape Galeem, but that was with the Warp Star. True, he can swallow up his enemies, but most Nintendo characters are too tall to have that happen (and before you say he does that in Smash, Kirby is WAY taller in Smash when you compare him to any other character).
Honestly, the whole notion that Kirby is the villain makes about as much sense as saying that Mario is a bad brother to Luigi (as in, not in the slightest)
Especially considering Nintendo *literally contradicts that theory themselves* in _Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story_ - even doing so *three times or more* in the same game.
1. Most of these times happen in battle: when Luigi is knocked out, Mario goes out of his way to keep him from getting killed, taking what would have been fatal attacks had Luigi been left defenseless.
2. In the scenes after Bowser gets fattened up, Mario & Luigi enter his Flab Zone to find Princess Peach. When the Kretin end up taking Peach deep into the area, Mario and Luigi give chase. In the process, Luigi ended up stepping on an unstable "donut" bridge, sinking into Bowser's mucus as a result. After this occurs, a being called Princess Lipid appears, holding both Luigi and a "treasure of e'erlasting wonder" and asking Mario which one he dropped. When he said this, Mario told Lipid that Luigi was "better than a treasure of e'erlasting wonder."
3. After Mario & Luigi defeat the cryogenically-frozen Shroobs in Bowser's castle, they explain how Mario & Luigi fought against them when they were infants. When Starlow jokes about how Luigi fought the Shroobs by "ferociously crying," Mario stands up for his brother by telling Starlow that *Luigi himself* was the one who defeated the Shroobs in the end.
So... yeah. Next time you talk about how Mario hates his brother, go play _Bowser's Inside Story_ for a bit (or just watch a walkthrough on it if you're that cheap).

Actually, regarding the "Master Hand debuted in the Kirby series" theory, a gloved hand highly resembling Master Hand appears in the game over screen when selecting either to quit or continue, and has in the code of all games after the original return to dreamland been referred to as Master Hand. Also it helps that Super Star was indeed a huge influence on how movesets in Smash 64 worked that other ideas could've been taken into account

The hand that wakes up Kirby in the game over screen of the first game is called Master hand in the game files. This was long before the first Super Smash Bros.
So master hand IS originally from Kirby or at least inspired from it.
Kumazaki literally just said that those who get inhaled by Kirby literally respawn somewhere, Kirby doesn't kill if it isn't necessary
Taking Kumazaki's statements into consideration and other wierd lore shit, Kirby only has 2 confirmed kills. Zero, who was destroyed twice until finally being utterly and completely erased during his final reincarnation as Dark Nebula, and Sectonia. Everyone else either *has* come back, or *will* come back according to their pauselore, and Haltmann was killed by the Star Dream computer which isnt alive in the first place, so destroying it and Nova dont count

The Dark Matter being Kirby theory has some truth sprinkled in there. Kirby is a reincarnate of Void Termia, just like Dark Matter, except Kirby was born out of good and nice emotions whilst Dark Matter was born out of negative emotions
This was disproven by the game devs in a Japanese exclusive interview.
Void is a being that copies the face and soul of the first person it sees, which is why it has Kirby's face and the possibility to become good.
As for why it has attacks from past bosses, it's because since the Jamba heart pieces spread all throughout the universe, they were able to be influenced by the residual darkness of where they landed. And when they were all recollected by hyness, they mixed and they all became part of void termina.
@@Color_Splsh Okay, but I like the idea of Kirby and Dark Matter (or, rather, Zero) both resulting from Void more. It helps explain instances of Dark Matter and Kirby displaying similar abilities to one another (Dark Matter Swordsman, Miracle Matter having attacks based on Kirby's copy abilities, Friend Hearts being kinda' similar to Dark Matter possession), and also is thematically appropriate to Kirby himself - much like how the void, the concept of nothing, has the potential to become anything, Kirby is a being of limitless potential, able to rise to any challenge and become whatever he needs to be to overcome it, culminating in the Copy Ability. This is also referenced in Zero's name.

The white kirby in the first game's artwork was a region misunderstanding, and Kirby's copying ability could be understood as a power he gained from the star collectibles in that game. Other Kirby's with different colour are explained by clones, or in amazing mirror kirby himself being split.

Even if Void Termina WAS just copying Kirby’s face, that doesn’t stand against the mountain of evidence that points to Kirby being a reincarnation of Void.
The one about Kirby's stomach being another dimension holds more weight than you think. While yes the anime is non canon, that was the official source many got it from. It was actually true there. Squeak Squad features Kirby's stomach being full of stars, likely as a nod to the anime. Lastly Kirby: Triple Deluxe tells us that the Miracle Fruit gives Kirby the power of a black hole. Black holes are likened to portals, and with Kirby's heart being a star as shown in Kirby: Mass Attack, it's possible for Kirby's inhale to be a black hole of sorts since black holes are created when stars supernova. The ability that empowers Kirby's inhaling ability is even called "Hypernova" (granted I think it's "Big Bang" in Japan). I'd argue this theory is more likely than Kirby being a different protagonist every game, as the events of Kirby's Dream Land are referenced a lot in later games and Spring Breeze even retells those events with the pink Kirby. Plus Kirby's Dream Land's Japanese artwork features a pink Kirby.
To give more credit to another theory, Master Hand could instead be likened to the game over hand that wakes Kirby up. Recent games even call it "Master Hand" in the game files. Two of these hands also show up in Kirby's Dream Buffet with a countdown animation that directly references Smash 64. There is no way they're Wham Bam Rock of course, that theory sounds crazy.
Lastly, I think another theory could land in truthbombs and that's the opposing theory that the New World from Kirby and the Forgotten Land is our earth. The New World takes place in another dimension which explains the solar system difference mentioned for Shiver Star. On top of that, Neichel, the in universe ancient idol and singer of Welcome to the New World, made her first physical appearance in the 30th anniversary concert as a woman in an average, albeit mysterious looking idol costume, which possibly hints at the ancients that roamed the New World being human.

To voice a few corrections on the video theory-by-theory because I am incredibly obnoxious (I'm sorry)
- Kirby isn't the villain, yes, but Kirby is *so* not the villain that they are literally pure goodness. Void reacts to either positivity and negativity, transforming into different creatures depending on which it interacts with first and which is stronger. Dark Matter is born from Void, as is Kirby, though obviously Kirby and Dark Matter come from different sources. Basically, Kirby is canonically pure good, whatever that is.
- Sakurai is not the creative director of Kirby, nor has he been for nearly 2 decades. Sakurai created Kirby, though. He worked Dreamland, Adventure, Super Star, Nightmare in Dreamland, Amazing Mirror, and Air Ride. He only had a supervising role on Amazing Mirror and Nightmare in Dreamland is a remake of Adventure, so Sakurai worked on 3 Kirby games, 1 spin-off, 1 remake, and he also gave the thumbs-up on another game's content. For the theory itself, its false for obvious reasons, yes, but the claim is not that Master Hand is Wham Bam, but that Master Hand is the.. game over hand from Kirby games like Dreamland, Adventure, etc... It's still wrong though.
- Kirby's stomach being a portal is not confirmed or denied. Claiming that being hit makes losing your copy ability proves that he isn't bottomless isn't really evidence either way, though. Even though the anime is non-canon, that's all we have and the copy palette from Squeak Squad gestures that Kirby's swallow is more of a temporary thing than a permanent thing (ew)
- The cameo with Samus and the Metroids is just as canon as the cameo from R.O.B., the doctor that made him, and the characters from Yuyuki and Shin Onigashima. As in, they aren't canon. Kirby is 20 centimeters tall, while Samus is 190, which a lot more than just twice Kirby's height. Each segment of Dark Matter is conscious (to the point Gooey can break away from the rest and even fight them), they have a hive mind in Zero, there's a direct origin for their existence, they are always pitch black, their possessions don't mutate the body permanently, and they always have an eye. Phazon shares none of those qualities. It comes from the planet Phaaze, not from Void, it isn't conscious, it's blue-ish, not black with a red eye, etc etc.
- The different Kirby colors are either not canon (Keeby doesn't exist), not a different Kirby (there is no white Kirby, unless you're counting spray paint colors from Amazing Mirror or Squeak Squad), or are directly addressed as being part of the pink Kirby, like the Amazing Mirror clones or the Mass Attack splits. Kirby was not portrayed as white in the original game's art in Japan, they were always pink. The white Kirby is a mistake because the localization team didn't know what color Kirby actually was, like hKirby being male in English releases but explicitly nothing in the original Japanese. Kirby has been shown throughout artwork over the years to grow somewhat. Kirby develops more rounded hands, loses the cheek marks and develops the blush, develops colored eyes, and gains elbows. This obviously was just art-syles changing over time for Kirby, but Star Allies made this retroactively true when Void is purified and a new Kirby is born, using the original (pink) Kirby design from Dreamland. Also, multiple games confirm that its always been the same Kirby since Dreamland, like why Dedede knows Kirby in Adventure from Dreamland. Same guy.
- This isn't a theory and can't be proven or disproven. You can say anything *can* be a metaphor, though. Also, Dark Meta Knight and Dark Mind are separate beings.
- Meta Knight isn't black, he's blue? Also, this is less of a theory and moreso something so obvious the developers never bother "revealing" it anymore than showing that he is obviously whatever Kirby is ever since his first appearance in Adventure when you defeat him. I suppose at some point Kirby will grow wings like Meta and Galacta
- Kirby is nearly 100% confirmed to be born from Dark Matter, but from the same source, Void. I already explained that though... I will say its up to debate whether Kirby is actually Dark Matter but just a good one, or something else entirely. There's some super vague info about there being 4 types of matter called Soul, Heart, Dream, and Dark that make up the universe? Maybe Dark can be good sometimes or maybe Kirby is heart or something, but Kirby is definitely Void and part of the same family as Dark Matter.
- No comment, this one is obviously true. Only issue is that Shiver Star isn't in Kirby's star system, the Crystal Shard teleports Kirby and co. there.
I am curious on if Kirby is 29cm tall because of the Forgotten land's cars which are definitely not just toy cars given where we find the first one, and also Earth is either Shiver Star or the Forgotten land

I believe Kirby stomach is never ending, since in Kirby Right Back At Ya a show based on Kirby games, it stated that Kirby stomach is like a universe and it will never end. Also Kirby isn’t a dark matter, Kirby is a reincarnation of Void Termina which is the god when encounter positive or negative emotions it will create something good or evil. Which is why these two look similar in the end.
So yeah Kirby is technically a God.

Like how certain dark matter related entities use the kirby copy abilites (Most notably, gooey and the master crown). Or how void's roar is literally kirby's but in a different pitch. Or how void's true name is astral birth void (born from the stars) and kirby's is kirby of the stars. Or how kirby's power and dark matter's power seem to be extremely similar and extremely different at the same time, like they're counterparts or something. There's more but I'm lazy tbh. i doubt Shiver Star is a ruined earth but there's a theory that The Forgotten Land is earth and that the ancients were humans who developed the technology seen in the games following experiments conducted on Fecto Elfilis.
Another truth bomb is that Kirby has no bones. There are many things that Kirby can do that would be impossible for an organism with a skeleton.

Kirby's stomach is most definitely an alternate dimension. While Right back at ya is uncanon, they mention it elsewhere. First of all, Kirby has to make room for extra copy abilities to copy! not necessarily he can't eat them. Kirby constantly chows down on a ton of things as the same time, things bigger than he is. In squeke squad you can look at his stomach, it is a universe. Also he can hold abilities in there and when he decides to copy them, they poof away, so he can copy from within himself.
edit: Ok why did you put that low on the list but said kirby from dreamland is a different kirby from the pink one and the pink kirby's could possibly be a different kirby everytime? that is the most uncanon thing I ever heard.
5:13 oh my god no, the only other colored kirbies are the ones Kirby was split into after being hit by dark meta knight, and ones that are created by dedede out of a cloning machine.
The original white Kirby is HEAVILY implied to be a new Kirby that was created when Kirby defeats astral birth void with positive energy

Theory. The level in kirby RTDL known as Freezing temple, is actually a mass grave.
Evidence
- there are ghost waddle dees in jars within it.
- the only types of enemies are sentry like, the floating head things that only attack you if you pick up a key.
- the more catacomb style level design with a stupid amount of doors and the non left to right structure of the temple.
This could just be rambling but i feel like it would make sence.
3:15 this theory has already been confirmed by the anime, squeak squad, and a recent interview. There is no arguing with it.

1:52 this theory isn't bs, it's the evidence they used that's bs. Wham bam is not master hand, master hand is the hand that appears in the game over screens to wake up kirby, I'm pretty sure the sprite of that hand is literally called master hand in the files, even if it's not the case the hand reappears in dream buffet with a mysterious second hand (I wonder who that could be) and does a motion that references the original SSB intro, so even if not initially, that hand has been retconned into master hand

A possible reason for earth being shiver star is that a passing star or other celestial body ripped it out of Sol's orbit, leading to the planet finding another star, though not close enough to thaw out our world.

and Kirby (as well as Keeby) are beings of pure positivity
while beings like Dark Matter comes from negative energy

The thing about Kirby being white in the artwork, that’s only in the western version of the box art. Yeah they didn’t tell Nintendo of America his color. Why is beyond me.
5:45 yeah that kind of true but it can't be considered a argument because the kirby was always intended to be pink but due to the game boy being in black and white only the artist that drew the artwork misunderstood kirby 's color and thought he was white
I will be honest: I don't believe the "Meta Knight is an older Kirby" theory due to the colouring differences, but there is another specific knight I could believe the theory would work with, that being Galacta Knight. Colouring similarities and all that, it's more likely than meta knight being a future Kirby
He only white because of a misunderstanding on the creator only in what on a system that had no color when played. Kirby is always planed to be pink. ( that is after they said no yellow Kirby because the creator didn’t want Kirby to be like all the other characters at the time of the release of the game.) It’s confirm that Kirby is genderless and Sakuria even said if anything Kirby is a girl because there pink. Is it kinda bothers me to hear people say he and him for Kirby.

5:32 pretty sure that's not true. On the Japanese box art l, he's pink. Also it makes no sense for dedede to be jelous of a different guy than the one that fights him next time, and ack like it's an achievement.
But I will say that super kirby clash (which is now cannon, yay) probably follows a different kirby than the others, since characters who know kirby ask the kirby his name before they fight the first enemy. He's also a lot weaker (like how hammer lord struggles to Cary the hammer)

The theory about Kirby being born from Dark matter is half correct. Void Termina isn't another form of dark matter, he's the origin of Kirby and Dark matter. If there's positive energy around Void then he turns into a Kirby but if negative energy is around Void then he becomes Dark matter.
I believe Kirby was Void Termina and find it fitting that someone maybe the Ancients has fought the God of Destruction and changed it into the protector of the entire universe. Also there is a theory that 0,0-2, and Dark Matter all came from Void Termina.

I have a theory that Kirby is Galacta Knight. Kirby has defeated countless godlike entities, enough to be called the Aeon Hero. They have the same color, and the wings are more angelic, showing his better intentions. Why he was locked up in a crystal prison I don’t know, but I think it could be possible.

1) there is no way for Meta Knight or King DeDeDe to know the differents between 2 pink Kirby's
2) his name is always Kirby while other colored "Kirby's" have different names (i say Kirby's because we don't know the name of the race asfar as i know)
3) narratively speaking it doesn't make sense that there are multiple pink Kirby's while the other colors only have one. Since the kirby devs take their lore seriously i think its important to keep that in mind
