The Greatest EU4 Show of All Time - Parabellum Qualifiers - Hry
That was the best thing ever in EU 4!🎉
thanks a bunch for having me you guys!
I rooted for you! 👍
Wonderful execution.
Excited to participate next week!
Two men with normal amounts of hair.
Lemon cake would spend the first 15 minutes making a tier list on what challenges would be the best to complete
Isn't he on Para bellum competing?
'Cyprus mentioned let's go!'
Hawk - 'shout out to all my tax evaders out there'
Took me out💀
Revived Imperator. Revived competitive EU4. Love what you guys are trying to do in the community. Legends.
Has anyone here heard of Cool Bonobo because he's honestly really good at the game and he makes the CRAZIEST EU4 videos making the weirdest combinations of countries, cultures and religions with really obscure strategies
18:55 Hawk actually Barcelona pronounced in the English way is closer to the Catalan pronunciation. The "c" sounds like an "s" when follows by an "e" in Catalan.
Although in Catalan that "e" is pronounced /a/, so in Catalan it's pronounced like "Barssalónna", in Spanish it's "Barthellónna" and in English it's "Barssellón" (The tilde shows where the stress is).
I would like to see more talks about the strategy with the participants after the match.
What were they planning to do, what they were doing in reality, what could have gone better.
Cara missed an opportunity to change her name to Cara Bellum
competive eu 4 is what makes us virgin tryhards happy
Absolutely loving it! Please keep it up! This was so much fun to watch!
Can we get Hawk and laith to cast the grandest Lan
Awesome first episode! You guys are always great, but I can tell how much you're enjoying calling the shots yourselves and running your own show. You ooze joy and excitement. ALSO - I enjoyed the mini-game in the middle and your ability to engage the viewer. Keep at it guys!
great first episode my dudes, keep up the shenanigans, scuff and siege races!
This was great, very creative, good work lads
Actually so hype. Excited for next week.
Hawk mistranscribes as Hulk in the captions lol
Red hawk..... smiling....... It is refreshing, there is no pain..... Loving this project already!
Amazing work fellas, Glad to see you guys having fun!
Hawk: I never played the Ottos. Just seems so easy.
I will do their achievement at some point though.
Didn't he do a world conquest with them in his A - Z challenge?
I remember a couple years ago thinking v-tubing was the weirdest shit ever, but Im warming up to them. Good luck, cant wait to see who's gon' end up facing florry for the title 🎉 Huge props for keeping this format alive.
Same. On V-tubers I feel like I like the idea, but I usually don't like the art. Most models just seem a little off for me.
Great first episode all, Congrats to heycara and the student!
39:00 they’ve already gone mad with power
These are some the narrators in the world
Smashing start boys! I wish you to get monetized as soon as possible and continue this show for years to come.
Yo i SAW this one my PS CZcams and to log in to my Phone to Tell u Guys i Hope this Channel gonna explode . Im super Hyped good luck Guys this can be Epic for eu4
We're so back
Both Laith and Red Hawk remind me of compulsive psychopaths lol love to see it though
I knew it! A channel just for EU4 matchs!
Cara could have gotten 3 more trade goods pretty easily( wine from chagatai and dyes, glass from jaunpur which was definitely possible in an hour.
Challenge idea: most unique tag switches
bump
Want to see lemon cake on competition! great job!
love you both. technical hiccups aside - I thought that this was a very good proof of concept. have you looked at having a challenge at a start date besides 1444? that'd throw quite a few players off
Could't tune in live but watching today
I would invite Lemon Cake to one of the matchdays and do some stacking challenges if possible and let him make fun of Playmaker for being as good as 1444 bot Ming
Great show guys, I will watch the whole series and looking forward for the influencer boxing event.
What happened to the Magier? Is he not available for the tournament?
BIG Z STAY WININ!STRAIGH TO THE FINAL , BIG UP BIG Z!
POLSKA GUROM
hell yeah
great video
Paradoxical is a great name for a paradox based game show
GG everyone, exciting play!
Also, the spelling is secretly just an added difficulty setting. Too easy otherwise for mapsgamers :P
I love the scuff
nice, i like it guys
Everyone get hyped
NOVA SCOTIA MENTIONED RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
Bengal would be the best pick for the trade good one IMO
big fan its realy funny :D
Damn, wonder if giving income to byzantium could make them hire mil advisor, well played to both game one!
🎉🎉
What happened with Speed5?
Love this!
get cool bonobo in one of those
Here for the algorithm
Great concept! Is there really nothing you can do to alleviate the differences in competitors' hardware though? If it's such a deciding factor and is out of players' control during the tournament, surely it's better to put a cap on in-game time instead of having an hour of real time? "Have as many trade goods as possible within 25 years of start date" for example.
One day, we'll be big enough to send everyone who plays a custom Para Bellum, Bright Purple PC with all the top specs and Laiths face plastered on the side. Until then, its better to rule that if you can't keep up its on you, for a multitude of reason
@ParaBellumCreative fair enough. To be clear, I wasn't expecting you to provide hardware, just wondering whether the format could be adjusted in future tournaments to account for the difference. In these matches the speed discrepancy didn't seem to make much of a difference anyway, as the players finished on similar dates in-game. Overall I love the idea and am looking forward to how the rest of the tournament plays out :)
Congrats on getting monetized!
Shout-out to midgeman I use video switchers all the time at work that looked hectic to run
(UPDATE: The Playmaker made a video addressing the situation and apologized.)
Just watched theplaymakers vod and he wasn’t happy. He thought that it was unfair that the bigger creators got instantly in and he had only 1 game to get in. He said if he knew that you instantly lost he wouldn’t have signed up and called it a waist of his time.( not my opinion)
That's a shame really. He's a skilled player but he went for a too complex strat in this tournament. Weird that he didn't know there was only one game to get in. I say i agree with him on creators getting in for free though, that's just not fair.
They're not getting in for "free". They're getting in because of their records in the previous EU4 competition show, Speed5, that is now canceled.
He said he won’t sign up for season 2 if it is like this again
@@Mattis06 That would be sad
That's a shame he had a bad time with it. He was definitely informed that this was a qualifier and that the winner went to the main competition. We had a bunch of people who wanted in and so we settled on qualifiers for untested players - Quarbit won the draft and Florry is the reigning champ, for example. We also asked Traxium (who couldn't make it) as a former champion who has a similar subscriber count.
He's stated he feels it's unfair that Cara played as Ming whereas he played as the Ottomans but nation picks are a part of the game, that's why they're in there. To be honest, we've had internal meetings about it and we're not quite sure what he would have wanted - it would have been unfair of us to tell him that Ming was a better initial pick as that's part of the gameplay loop; it would be like telling Saff to go for a reconquest, or Student that he was missing provinces. He also stated we should have told him how many trade goods each nation starts with, but, again, that would be ridiculous (as we'd have to count for every nation, as they all are possible picks) and that kind of game knowledge is part of the game.
It's rough for him, for sure, but he did start on the exact same footing as Cara - namely that they had to pick their own nations. It was a mistake to pick the Ottomans, and that's on him.
Cara youtube link not working
Why you not included laith haa
Ohshit that hair
Was flipping to orthodox and recreate Biz to hard to do???
Afaik these days that can only be done by non-endgame tags, and some like Ottomans are specifically barred from it anyway (see formation requirements). Doing it as any other country may not be that much of a help, and it'd mean you don't get the reconquests from a byz vassal.
At most I could think of maybe Mamluks. But it'd be tricky to do in 1 hr. And either way there's no need: you merely need Byz to complete the missions, easiest as vassal probably.
I think in theory, you could even go Mam or Otto, conquer the key provinces, and then end it off by repeatedly declaring on byz and giving him all your provinces that way. Kill off your own tag, but Byzantium will complete the missions, and that was the requirement (up to Laith to count the missions while you are in the game-over screen :P)
Should give each player couple bans? so they could ban nations opposite player is not allowed to pick.
Sutch a cool idea, imagine using the bans for content like banning the powerful and all mighty nation of ULM, alongside Ming.

I'm not big on streaming, is 6k views/stream a reasonable amount?
For the first stream on a channel?
What do you think? 🤔
Genuinely no idea. Sure it was the first stream on a channel, but it was by already established creators
@@PavelQuiteGood I fear it's not enough to be very profitable (as of yet). I think @ps-qw1up feels this might be true as well and that's why he asked. Note, not saying anything about whether it's impressive (I'd get zero views 😅).
Is that incorrect and is 6k views profitsble already given all their cost and labour?
You have to start from somewhere
Like and subscribe to help them get more :)
how nerd is this beautiful game?
It is the promised land for all nerds. It's the only place where Roman Empire nerds can hobnob with Prussia nerds, and the occasional Aztec nerd.

Commenting to please the algodrithm
I've subscribed and gave the like
But my opinion, tournament from this game is like sex with a pie, you feel frictions, but not everything else
You just make me realise how much I like pie
Nope.
Please dont allow blatant exploits like the one made on the second challenege. It makes the challenge boring and not fun
cara got ez mode ngl kinda cringe ming is such a baby start for that challenge lmfao
