You really need to do an inverted intake to get the air filter out of the way so it doesn't get kicked or knocked off. I did, and I love it.
We have actually have one in the works for the MB200 and hoping to have those ready to sell in the next few weeks. Because you're right, it's much better tucked in especially with the way we ride. Thanks for checking us out.
@@GoPowerSports .
Whats the part number, and where did you find it
@@tex4x484 Gokartsusa part # GL1065-5003.DMC103 It's "Little BadAss" brand.
OHH PROBABLY MY FAVORITE THING IS THE TIRES !! you put on I bought a pair from you same as in video & they stable bike more more clearance and softer ride on bumps with mb 200 shocks and them tires it rides like a motorcycle tires are dope
Glad you like them!
I zip tied fuel line connections, left the stock tank on and use top bar tank as aux and MX bars w/clamps.
I just ordered the black hurricane 3 days ago and that new foot peg mount and gas tank will be the FIRST change that I'm going to do to it. Great video guys.
Thanks a ton!
Yeah bet John and Ike were all like "Must be nice to take some stuff off the top shelf and throw it on willy nilly!" Cause that's what I'm thinking too...love the channel and the company. If I buy something from Go it will be through cars and cameras. I'm going to be kicking off a 3hp motorized bicycle...if I can get that to work I'll be building my first Mini bike from scratch. I'm paying attention to the hassles y'all go through so I can avoid that and go straight to the best option. Thanks for the video and if y'all could help me on my first project holler back at me.
for the price of the gas tank you should add the rubber grommets you used in this video to the purchase
Great job! ! Looks great ! I’m sure it’s a beast of a bike!
🥇
I love the build I will be doing something similar to it but hopefully the prototype shocks will be out by the time I get the money. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much for checking us out! Take care.
Fantastic job on this video. Awesome bike
Thanks! 👍 Glad you like it.
Very cool build. It looks great!!!
Glad you like it
So awesome can’t wait till I can buy one from you guy’s and and start to customize. Very nice you guy’s are so great. I will intend in the future to get a 224 or 225 engine and get the performance kit for it and mikuni carb kit for it as well. Awesome mini bike.
That was awesome // the way you did the tire change I’ve nvr seen it done with a vise , ya made it a tire changing machine BIG THUMBS UP , everyone has a vise so Thxs 👍
Thanks 👍
Nice work Taylor and gang! I'm super interested in that suspension and foot peg kit! I know I can make one but I'm really trying to get some of your stand out products on there. I was hoping to order more than the exhaust at once since I get torn up on the ships.
That would be cool! Thanks for checking out the build. The stance on the new footpeg kit is the perfect position for our riding. Even clears the Juggernaut/TAV Cover.
Love your guys products....
can't wait for the foot peg relocation kit to become available...and we want more info on what you're doing with the intake set up
Hoping to have that foot peg relocator ready in the next couple of weeks.
I got mine last year and same color as that one. I molded mine out with a old Honda tank I had. Put motocross pegs on it. and I love it. Plenty of power. I am going to swap the 50 tooth from the Coleman and put that on mine. hope it fits...GPS is a great company. Oh and yes I only live about 2 hours away in east Texas....
Right on, thank you so much. Hope you get to swing by the shop one day. Take care!
Sweet bike!
I would love to be there with you and ride those trails.
We hope to make it back out this year, always a great time.
Nice work. I’m gonna have to upgrade from my stock ct200u.
You should!
Nice build!
Glad you think so!
whaaat this is gonna be Litt cant wait to see the rideout with carsANDcameras
I am glad you are working on a better intake for these but something that would help ALOT is a better triple tree so we can run different fork sizes, hopefully a standard size.
Thanks!
I second this!
Nice work Taylor I hope too be building one like that soon maybe I’ll be taking home a new mb 200 when’s I come in November with mason for the gps 180
It's definitely a great way to go for that course.
I have a mb200, great little bike
Good choice!
Sweet
The motor looks kinda funny with all that open space once you remove the stock gas tank and add one to the top frame tube. Maybe something could be installed in that usable space?
I like the build, but I would prefer a custom paint; needs more color. Otherwise, terrific. One thing I do not understand, is why a bushing on the torque converter is better than a bearing. Is because bearings fail more than a bushing?
That engine looks so small in there now. Would love to see more displacement taking up all that open space.
What air filter is that at the end of the video and how are you keeping that chain on with no tensioner with that 60T sprocket and extended shocks? I am running the same bike with a 54T sprocket just so the chain wont jump off with no tensioner. I am also VERY interested in relocating the foot pegs. Is that the same bar that was cut off the front or did you use a whole new bar? Also, the clutch kit you put on, wheres the link to that and what helps in performance with that?
Where was it y’all rode ? That trail looked nice !
Hey I figured out a fix for my mb200-2 engine swap to predator 212 with the shorter shaft so I can use the stock clutch. I made a video of it if your interested. Love your videos guys.
Is there any cvts that come in a wider ratio than the regular one. Instead of going from 3:1 ratio to 1:3 ratio. To 5:1 to 1:5 ratio. Diameter would charge of course and fitment issues would crop up. Just curious.
Wow!
I think I will use stock chain just for tuning adjustments etc. then put to side and pick up a d.i.d
That's a good way to go.
Is the larger sprocket that you used available and were you happy with it?
Out standing but how fast will it go since the sprocket change?
Are you guys planning on offering that foot peg bar? Because that's what's holding me back from putting a stage 1 on my mb200. I prefer the rear set of pegs over the forward ones.
Within the next few weeks they will be available.
COMMON NO HILL CLIMBING !! I know mb200 we’ll climb some insane hills !! So just do it
Hahaha, we got you on the next Colorado video trip.
I got a generation 1 mb200 with the rear drum only, front brake kit is a solid investment. I'm also curious as to why you ditched the front pulley with the bearing for a bushing?
I just ordered a pulley with a bearing from you guys, as well as the belt.
I may even go so far if this isn't to my liking to get an actual comet.
This motor could definitely use a stage 1 kit and to remove the governor, I also like the idea of the larger sprocket in the rear I replaced the chain a few years back. Also though front headlight absolutely sucks I'd like to get an LED alternative as well as a rear light.
I still have the stock CVT on there and it likes to eat belts now and again never did like the idea of that bushing when I saw you had the bearing alternative I ordered one right away but I seen you guys ditching it in this build which makes me wonder why?
I have this little black box attached under my seat to my old choke/fuel line, on my hurricane. What does it do and how does it come into play with the stage 1 performance kit? Seems out of place. Any help would be great. Thanks
how much vertical clearance is there for a taller engine?
Hey I noticed my mMB200-2 engine output shaft is around 1/2" longer than say a predator 212. Is there a way to make the Predator line up and work on the MB200-2 ?
You could use our Fully Adjust Motor Plate to make this happen.
I’m interested in that rubber piece you grinder down to fit that gas tank. What is that rubber piece? And how did you secure it to the frame ?
Yes, they really brushed over the tank install
With the additions to this , what was the final cost ?
I have been reading about these and i gotta have one .
Nice video !!
Thanks .
Great video. Make some more. Now show us how to stiffen up the front suspension!
Thanks for letting us know that you want to see this. We were able to do it to our Race bike for the GoPowerSports180. So I'll be sure to bring a camera, take care.
you can stiffen the fronts by adding spacers inside the tubes on top of the springs and upgrading to a thicker fork oil. redbeard did that to a set of coleman front shocks.
I’ve also seem some guys replace the rear shocks and then take the springs off the stock rear shocks and put them on the front fork to stiffen it up.
What type/Brand is that tire changing tool? Looks great.
Not sure, we've had this one in the shop for a few decades.
What kind/size of rubber spacers did y’all use for the gas tank install? Thanks
Check out our bolt-on tank kit, it'll come with these rubber parts you seek.
What rear shocks were you using on the ride? They were separate reservoir style not the new ones you put on.
Those are also prototypes. Good eye sniper. We built 2 of these same bikes and the shocks were the main difference. These may be a few months until we get these in bulk.
Do you have the link to the 420 chain you mentioned in the video?
Amazon has the same chains and even better if you want. Just search 420 chain. I use the RK gold chain thats all pre-stretched. You have to know how to shorten your own chain which is easy with a tool.
Hey do you guys sell the mounting bracket to bolt on the clutch cover I can’t find them anywhere?
Sorry we do not. They are standard on this trailmaster.
Will the front brake kit work on the older baja warriors and baja heat mini bikes?
The forks are a different diameter to you may need need to modify.
Thanks for content ...I swapped out the jing with predator 212 hemi... but stock bracket bolts on the mb cvt for the cover don't fir the pred ...do you know what size bolts fit the 212 (four holes around crank)? I've tried every size I had and now I need to buy them
Typically 5/16" Fine Thread bolts.
@@GoPowerSports thanks ..they were 25 thread
What shocks mount like thus without having to add another chain tensioner
For off roading wouldn't a leading link front fork ride better due to shock adjustability? Would the leading link fork you have in stock fit? Just some random thoughts.......
We prefer the hydraulic suspension over the shock suspension for trail riding. The Leading Link on our website would be to short for the MB200.
Why go from bearing to bushing. That’s more friction.
The bearings were getting seized up with all the mud and trail riding. You're right, not as ideal but stayed running longer.
When are you going to release the 11" shocks? I want to order a mb200 and shocks at the same time.
It may be a few months until we see those shocks in stock
Where can I get that clear torque converter mount? I just realized my Mega Moto 212 didn't come with a "regular" mount.
We sell them on our website under CLEARCOVER. Nothing for the Mega Moto 212s though.
@@GoPowerSports I was wondering about the MOUNT not the cover itself. I need that mount lol.
I'd like to see an intake that doesn't cause the filter to be outside the frame,
Coming soon.
Did you modify the blower housing. Because on your website it says it does not fit this motor.
I believe it will fit as long as your also use the spacer that sits behind the stock pull starter. It looks like a plastic ring and pushes the starter away from the engine.
@@GoPowerSports Thank you
You should give away those unused oem tires to someone who needs them or something at a mini bike meet
Would a predator 301 fit on this bike?
Your video editor has good soundtrack selection
Thanks!
No, he/she doesn’t.
I want one
Can I call and have the Trailmaster Hurricane 200X rebuilt the same way as shown in this video ?
Why switch from a bearing driver to a bushing driver? I would think the bearing driver would be the better option. If not, i need to change both of my mb200s to bushing drivers.
The bushing style is tried and true. When you're going on long trails as we did, we wanted the bushing style because it was one less thing that could go bad on us. Performance-wise, we love the bearing style, but going through mud and dirt, we didn't want to risk it. And now, we typically recommend the Juggernaut Driver (if your engine is at Stage 2), which does not have a bushing on it, just bare. 🤕
Anyone know the best place to find out how to identify a minibike- i know there were tons of different ones made but cripes i cant find any that look like mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Post it in our Facebook Minibike Group; TrailMaster MB200 Crew
I'll be swapping out the 46t sprocket for a 60t. I'll need a longer chain, correct? Also, will longer shocks affect that, too?
You will need a longer chain when going to the bigger sprocket. You will also need a longer chain if you add longer shocks. Moral of the story, install your new sprocket and shocks before cutting your chain down to length.
@@GoPowerSports Thanks! Just the info I needed!
Do you sell the hardware to go with the new gas tank
We currently do not.
Where can I buy the foot peg relocation bar?
Will be available in the next few weeks
What tire size and brand did y’all put on this exactly? Thanks
www.gopowersports.com/20-x-7-8-knobby-tire/
Hope this helps.
Can I buy the front brake caliper bracket ? I have a Moto 212 donor bike
Sorry, just have it in a full kit.
I'm a little confused. the "aftermarket" driver you put on is the exact same driver that came on my MB200 from Go Power Sports
The aftermarket driver was a bushing style instead of the stock bearing style.
What is it that you used to mount that gas tank?
www.gopowersports.com/bolt-on-tank-kit-mb200-hurricane200/
Out of stock for a few weeks though
Can I buy one of the mb200x models pre-built like this??
Not yet. You would have to buy the parts from us and install yourself.
@@GoPowerSports +1 - I'd prefer to buy one pre-built as well. Thx guys - great video.
where can i reach you to get these after market parts ? thanks kerry
gopowersports.com, thanks!
I dont like the Harley look could I seat swap and bar swap it?
Why could you leave the original fuel tank on there also at have Twice The range
You selling these with all the mods?
what are the specs? top speed with that gear?
With the 60 Tooth on the rear, top speed may only be around 50MPH. It'll climb just about anything though!
You know it's going to be good when you see someone using top of the line makita impacts, night and day better than the red and yellow alternatives.
Eh I prefer the blue myself
By that I mean kobalt. U can’t beat the price on their batteries for the quality
What’s top speed
Why would you go to a bushing from a bearing...hopefully the video got it backwards!
That green bolt on the jack shaft Is impossible to get off the one that holds the second part of the torque converter on
It is hard, but doable.
Can I bring my 200 to you guys and make it better ?
We can set you up with Paul at the shop and see what needs to be done.
You did all that but left the 196 cc motor why not go with a 212 cc motor
We had a few different motors on the minibikes we took. Both are a great way to go.
@@GoPowerSports can I go with a preater 301cc motor .....how fast that will go with no governor
I swear I heard him fart, between 3:40 and 3:45 of the video
Hahahaha. You have won. You're the 1st person to mention this.
I want one… What’s the cost???
Loved it all except that cringy ass Elton John 70s helmet!🤣🤣
Ima rocket man
Guy needs to talk louder or get a mic. I turn up the volume to hear him and everytime something get set down or a tool gets used it blasting loud 😞
Only thing you could have done is loose that awful music
I know, right?
So basically they don't put a spacer between the driven pulley bearings? How nice... Over tightening them causes them to bind.. interesting. That alone says how cheapy it's made. Btw let's make it a stage one which technically is slower due to taller gearing. Again, interesting. I will pass n keep my old Honda thanks.
Minibikes and Hondas aren't the same thing.
I have this little black box attached under my seat to my old choke/fuel line, on my hurricane. What does it do and how does it come into play with the stage 1 performance kit? Seems out of place. Any help would be great. Thanks
