Learn the best methods for getting into the tree using a throwball and a throwline, these methods make the process of getting into the tree a lot easier.
At 69 years of age, my shoulders just can’t manage a high toss without pain. I truly love my air powered APTA. With a bit of practice, I can shoot through a tight spot with enough power to knock small brush out of the way. I have the Big Shot as well but this air cannon is much better for me. I can adjust the height with the pressure gauge. Arborist Blair Glenn (There is a video😊)
I've tried that APTA only a couple of time and was not very successful because when I pulled the lever I pulled the shot. At work we have the Big Shot I do a lot better with that but I rigged it with a pulley and a quick release so I can aim better. Thanks for sharing!
Done my first chainsaw course and I want to learn as much about climbing as possible, Thankyou sir it's people like you that help out aspiring future climbers, there's so much information on your channel I can learn from,I have dexlexia and I only understand your teaching, Inspirational truly.
👍🙏❤️👌, I want my Master Arborist license and you just sparked my educational hours of knowledge on paper! 🙄👊❤️! I’m respectful of the conversation! 🙏❤️👊. I may start a longshoreman job at the Oakland Port! 🤞🤧🤙❤️🦦
Good instruction! Yeah, that "twisting your arm" -- I am so bad at that. I have to really concentrate or my throw will go way left (I'm right handed). Next time I'll have to pay attention and see if the problem is really with the way I swing my arm, or if I'm rotating my wrist. Thanks!
@@BinoH thank you for sharing the knowledge. I use cradle method and 95% Do the reverse launch if I throw by hand. the pvc air cannon is so accurate I rarely find myself hand launching. Would love to see some of your air cannon launching techniques ☺️ I find if I lay my throw line out in 25’ rows, I find it feeds better and less drag on the line ☺️
@@kevinkc3onohelijeepworld953 Nice, I don't own an air cannon but I've used it several times. I didn't do so well the one I used had a lever you turn and when I moved the lever I would pull the shot.
@@BinoH Interesting 🤔 I built mine from Pvc and used a 2.5” ball-valve on my design it’s works well once I figured out which way to turn the valve. I don’t use super high pressure max 80 psi and can launch a 16oz throw clear over the huge 80-100’ monster maples here in eastern Pa.
I always have 2 shot-bags with me cuz of branches that the bag gets wrapped around. Then I throw another line up I stash this throwline that is a different color around but I don't like it as much as the green Dynaglide. That line is shorter than my main line but it works in a pinch when u need to get a climbing rope up there.
Hi Bino. I'm not an arborist. I would like to buy a throwline so I can use it to rock or shake a branch of a tree if in case my drone gets stuck. For an arborist, where does a throwline become very useful? I've only seen videos on how to throw them. Thank you.
I get rc airplanes out of trees for our rc airplane club - I started with no experience and mostly self taught - now I want to get serious so I'm watching videos like this - thank you ! Do hardware stores like Home Depot sell stuff like this or will I have to order from speciality companies ? Are there poles that would work and where can I get one ?
Bartlett arborist supply is a great company, with great service, plus free shipping over$100.00. Ask for a catalog.. You will NOT find a better place to shop.

Drones can bring the line up? I’m not lazy, but it’s an advantage to improve! I’m old school! 👍😉❤️
Yes I've seen it done on very tall Mexican Fan Palms.
Great Techniques showed here 😉
Thank you!

hello mr. bino😃i am happy to see your video

@@BinoH you're very welcome👍👌
I use the bight of line with the 1 hand method. Good to up to 40'. But I need to try the pendulum between the legs to see if I can expand my range.
Nice, let me know how it goes!
Brilliant thanks... can I ask what weight the bag you like to use?
12oz
If your in a talk pine, a 16 Oz, because the 12 will not come down because of the bark..
good climb begin with throwline... 😎
Thank you!
Hi Bino H, 50’ throw is impressive. I’m still low and slow, lol. Can I ask you was there ever a time you had to leave string in a tree?😂 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Thank you! I have gotten my though bag stuck but have rescued it.

Sometimes to install a friction saver and maybe to save a rope or throw bag.

Is there a brand or source where you get your equipment... Maybe you have. Video Link with that subject already?

Would it work if you threw it like a football?
I can always throw higher when I throw under handed. It may work if you have a strong arm.
@BinoH when do you use a throw line vs climbing up with spurs?
If I'm removing is when I would use spurs, If I'm trimming I'll be climbing.
