Far from Brilliant. The young lady was not even listening to CS answers or explanation. One time she is on her phone while the guy was talking. She was trying to score points and I got you moments. She successfully showed how rude and arrogant she can be.
I admired her direct questioning and how she stayed focused, not allowing him to derail the convo with another defensive tactic.
Which direct questioning ?? She kept asking the same question despite CS having answered. On this one I like Murkomen was patient, focused. Her questioning on this one particularly was dismal!
Patience is not a request but a demand once you are a public worker. You must be patient, listen all form of questioning and then answer them with a lot of wisdom n maturity
She did not do the public justice. On this one she was feeding her ego. She is a terrible listener.

Problem with kenya, everyone is talking from a political standpoint on technical things. Even Dubai, and European airports sometimes leak. The questions should be how they will be doing maintenance work and how fast when it happens. The rest is circus.

These people should realize that our country is too big to be governned the way it is. Power needs to be local, a unitary system does not work over large territories. They made it unitary to copy the little island of the uk 🇬🇧. We need a federal system, with three levels of government . Local, state and federal. This way issues are resolved faster instead of one single agency having responsibility over a country that is 224,000 square miles big. In a federal system, there would instead be local agencies incharge of their local communities. So instead of kenya police. We have Garissa police dept, Garrisa dept of public works incharge of infrastructure in the city, Ngecha dept of public transportation, lamp dept of public health. This is how they do it in the US, a country bigger than ours. But a country whose government is so small and local but works. "Instead of one policeman incharge of 47 counties, we have 47 policemen incharge of each county". I hope you understand this quote

Here is what I can finally respect about Murkomen, he spoke the truth and managed our expectations going forward concerning what his ministry can do about roads within the budget they currently have; I would say it is impressive when politicians speak truth. Here is what Murkomen is yet to learn: humility, listening to people, and answering questions without arrogance and anger.
The questions that arose from this are: what will be done about the people on riparian land because it has been established that it affects city drainage, what will be done about Kenya's government expenditure on what they choose to spend on (lavish living for politicians), what will be done about corruption because the latter two eat into money that Murkomen says we do not have to provide Kenyans with resilient and quality infrastructure. You see all these questions we have asked do not require billions to work on

In defense of the CS, Hon. Murkomen cannot be blamed for destruction of riparian zones, an important factor in flood impacts. Also, he has no authority over the quantity of rain, its duration and intensity. He is not the driver of climate and global changes.
