  • Hey friends! In this GRWM video, I'm discussing things to consider before you say "yes", godly dating advice, rejection in dating, and how I used to be a pick me girl. As always I hope you're encouraged and/or challenged. Thanks for watching!

I am not married, dating or engaged. I am a Christian, 50+ with adult children. Based on what was shared, that's a no. For the reasons shared and then some. From a biblical perspective; GOD created us to be relational (Matthew 22:36-40). Character is EVERYTHING even when we are wrong (2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:29). So when GOD reveals something in a persons character that is not like CHRIST, whether it's our own character or someone else's, it would be wise to take heed. That's not love (GOD is love); nor was what they were requiring of her loving (1st Corinthians 13:4-8; Ephesians 5:25; Genesis 2:24). It sounds abusive (honestly speaking). It is written that love does not demand its own way, it's not self seeking, or prideful. I understand cultural differences within reason. But as Christians our culture is CHRIST (2 Corinthians 5:17). And our character/relationships should reflect that. Marriage is a ministry, just like everything else we do in life (Colossians 3:23-24; 1st Corinthians 16:14 ). And if her fiance allowed it, that's a big red flag concerning his character because as mentioned and written, LOVE ALWAYS PROTECTS. Husband or otherwise. ❤
