Dear sir, if a component is a plastic plate and we HV to do spc on the thickness, which varies across the plate. 1. Should we take thickness across plate and take it as sub group, or we HV to take measurements on 5 different plates on the same location. Kindly advise. Best regards Amit
You can take several reading in same plate and then can make a subgroup, if the thickness varies in a plate. Best wishes

In this video ,u said about typical control chart regarding upper and lower control limit is equal to target+ 3*s.d and target -3*s.d but we calculate control limit by formula i.e xdbar+A2rbar and xdbar-A2rbar which are not equal to each other,why?????

Specification limit is the design limit and control limit is 50%of specification limit

Dear ... suppose that if u have one component these spec 20.0+-0.1 if ur obs. Under spec again and again this is comman verition but in between 1 part goes out of spec like 20.40 mean suddenly verification that is special cause veriation .
