Neil will state as absolute fact what he is unsure of. A great example is the Bush and Star Names story he told for 8 years. And was accept without question by self proclaimed skeptics like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris or Mike sheerer.

Our country needs this mindset. Everyone is so set in up or down, right or wrong.... left or right.. i get so upset when people stay rooted in their stubborn beliefs and lump everything outside of those beliefs into a category called "fake"
It's like when we say we're in the middle of nowhere. You're actually the middle of somewhere but you just don't know where you're at bc you have no sense of direction.

A fair point but I feel that using the court of law in this context doesn't exactly do the phrase justice.
The court of law, is often a place where people attempt to be objective, but can find out the truth through the combination of discussion and physical evidence, at least in the ideal world. I would grant that it can often turn into a political circus, so in those cases your 100% correct.
