Thank you very much.. You are such amazing people
Thanks for share this knowledge.
I was planning to fire up 50pcs of 3v diodes. Since I dont have a driver I used CP charger with an output of 5v. I used a converter to stepped the volts down to 3v.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the great video, what if I want to run some LED’s from a charge pack?
Nice information 👍

Wow..nice sirr
I have what I believe to be a full spectrum led grow light. The main issue is that it's a cheaper setup and the LED drivers (4) are unmarked and two of the 4 are not working. How can I test them and how can I determine which drivers would be needed to replace the non working ones?
I would greatly appreciate any helpful information! Thank you in advance!
Hey! How does the driver with an wide output voltage match the voltage of the LED?
hello. if I have 6 cree leds 3w 3.3v I can use a 30w led driver 22-38v (constant current)? summarizing the voltage of the leds we have less than 22v. it can damage the leds?
thanks
Hi, Do you do training courses/days etc?
Hello, I have a lamp that contains 5 LED lights (COB LED Strip 7mm x 48mm). One of them is no longer working. I have to replace it. My Driver says:
Dimmable Constant Current
Output Max. Voltage 36.8Vdc
Output Max Power 16.8W
Output Regulated Current 470mA
I intend to replace the 5 LEDs to have the same heat of light. Can I put 5 x:
P0wer 3W
Input current 300mA
Voltage 9-10V
does it work???
thank you for the answer
P.S.: I am a novice!
Kitchen fitters put led strips in our kitchen, and after 6 months, the lights went dim.
Fitter has us used a 12v DC 30w LED Converter 2.5A, 100-240v AC. Is this led transformer the correct specification do you think? It's a small to medium-sized kitchen and leds just run under wall units and inside a glass cupboard.
I have a 50w flood led that does not work, it's rated 25-45v but when measuring it give me 51-52v, does this mean the driver is damaged?
I am replacing the led driver of my ceiling light, can i use output regulated current of 750mA where the old one is only 660mA? The rest of the spec are the same.
is it possible to change the 1watt led on my downlight into 3watt led without changing the driver?my downlight used 12 led and rated 1watt per led..iwant to replace the four. 1watt led into 3watt...do you think the driver can handle that?my driver is using only 350miliamp.
Can you differentiate isolated & non isolated driver????
I want power four 10 watt led so can you please suggest dimable driver for my project .....
I’m looking to connect 8x 1m led strips which are at 400mA, 4.8W/m and 12V, I’m trying to connect these to a switch in the room what driver should I use?
I want to replace a wall light with 5 LED strip lights (for a shelving unit). Do I just connect a driver to the existing wall light switch and the LED strips? I don't have a power socket nearby.
Nice video!
i have this specification in my broken led light driver
Model:LED12-24Wx3
Input:AC165-265/5060/Hz
Output:DC36-108v 260mA+5%
TC :75'C TA: 50'C (Max)
it was a celing led light
its soo confusing because it have two output with 1 led strip and the other one is led solder in a round white board so i cant determine and i was confuse because it has so many led lights
Can we connect a 3 meter or 5 meter led strip (12 volts, 20 watt per meter , 240 led per meter ) to a 12 volt car battery directly without drivers , assume passive cooling is provided for led strip.
My problem is that I was trying to replace my faulty Constant Current driver with a Constant Voltage driver.
Is there any universal led tube light driver for 40 w t8 model ,,
I have just replaced a 50W halogen bulb with a 5W (35W equivalent) MR16 LED bulb. I have also replaced the driver with an Aurora AU-LED 16T constant voltage driver 12V 1-16W. The bulb strobes like a disco . Can anyone tell me what I have got wrong.
Hello, I have 9x G4 2W 12V LED bulbs, I want it on 230AC to 12DC what driver can I use?
You need to make sure the driver you choose has these same 3 specifications as the LEDs which are:
1. Total Wattage which is: 18W
2. Voltage which is: 12V DC
3. Constant voltage output (not constant current)
This type of driver is one of the most popular. I would recommend the Mean Well LPV-20-12 which meets this specification, although their are 100s of variations on the market:

Why my LED light is blinking after replacement of Constant current LED driver ?
hi i bought a led light kit 5050 rgb 5 m long with a 12v driver/transformer with remote my question is this to anybody i only want to use 1 meter length which would be cut into two pieces two legs of 500 mm can that be done or do i require a smaller driver / transformer

I am running a string (12) of fairy lights using 2 AA batteries (3v) in an HO model village, what driver could I use to do the same job, save constantly changing batteries.
what are the specs for the fairy lights?
What about a dual CV CC driver - can that be used for LED strips?
Sure you can, but CV is enough for a LED strip. :)
The one bit of info I wanted was not covered. For the power supplies with variable voltage, how do you actually set the output voltage? Is there a knob? A screw? A selector switch? How does it work?
The voltage varies as to the load. Nothing to set
Kenn, what would happen if I used a 34v driver on a 36v LED ceiling light? They are the same brand and the plugs do fit each other. Would it be dangerous or just slightly dimmer than it should be?
Hi , I have 50 watt constant current with 1400ma with 34-40v so can I use driver with 44-55v with 900ma
mohd mujahed uddin, you are right
hello im a bit stuck on this ive got 23m flexi strip lights they run at 30w for every 5m … not sure of the mA ?? I need to connect all together … im sure I need a constant voltage they are a 12v output … can you recommend a driver for me please
try 350ma first, if it doesn't work then at least it wouldn't harm it. Then try 700ma..
Usually they are 12V, so the current is 23 / 5 x 30 / 12 Use a CV driver/power supply
I purchased DC12V 5050 LED Strip non-waterproof 60leds/m 5m/roll LED strip 5050 white/warm white/blue/red/green from aliexpress. Which power supply should I use for 5meters? It came with a 12v2a dc power supply, it doesn't seem right.
The LED tape you have will most likely be 14.4W per metre (72W for 5M). You can use either of the following which are non dimmable:
Simple plug in:

Better professional version:

Or a dimmable LED driver:

Wow, I cut my 16ft LED strip into 2 halves as a portion near the incoming power supply from a 12V, 6A unit, changed from the blue to a yellowish color? Any idea why? The incoming Voltage drops from 12.32V (No Load) to 11.85V when the 8ft. Strip is on, and, the Voltage at the other end of the 8ft. Strip is 10.30V. Is this the norm as I presumed in a parallel circuit the Voltage remains constant? By the way every section where it says U can cut the strip has 3 LEDs.
1) changed from the blue to a yellowish color? Probably the voltage /current is too low. This can occur when dimming at extremely low levels
2) incoming Voltage drops from 12.32V - unloaded (no load) voltage is often higher, especially on cheap power supplies
3) other end of the 8ft. Strip is 10.30V - indicates a cheap strip as the copper buss carrying the power is too thin/narrow

Hi I have a question. I have 9 led downlights of 24w each with its driver. I wanted to know if I can replace the nine drivers that each one comes with and power them all with a single 300W driver.
Hi, it depends what output of your nine drivers, could you take them out and check, then I would know what parameter of the driver you can use to driver power 9 led downlights.
@@wenyingjiang504 Thanks for your interest in helping :)
The driver specifications for each downlight say: LED DRIVER, MODEL: (19-24) X1W, PRI: AC85-265V 50 / 60Hz, SEC: 280mA ± 5%, OUTPUT LOAD: DC57-96V.
Do you think this model HLG-320H-C3500. It could replace the nine led drivers with the features mentioned above. And only use this LED DRIVER with higher capacity to power the nine downlights?
Hello there, thank you for the information. May I ask where to get a led driver Dc output 280mA? Again thanks

Hi,
Do you have a web link so I can check this product? When I search for this Cree XML-T6 on line it brings up results for torches.
3000mA seems quite high for a 10W light.
Cutter-XPG20STRR5-CW0U how many of these will i need for 1 metre heatsink and what driver will run these fully with dimming ty
To power 8 of these you'll need this:
80W 27V 3A led driver
Wired in series
I can get these as a special made to order item for £49.75 inc VAT and delivery.
This is an IP20 version.

Is miliamps important? The drivers in my country are mostly not 350ma. If I put higher or lower miliamp, what will it do?
milliamps are not important but Amperes is important

Hi there. Need some advice pls . Can i power 5x mr16 12V bulbs , each drawing approx 5W with a constant voltage 12v 45W 3.75A driver ? I know it is well over the power needed of 25W and just over 2amps, but here i would like to have some power reserve in case i need stronger bulbs eg 8w ? Will it be ok to have this much reserve in Watts and amps ?
Many thanks 😉
Did you ever get a reply to this MM?
@@helenamos2032 unfortunately not.
What was your solution? My situation is v similar, I fitted a constant LED driver of more than sufficient output watts but it wouldn't power more than one bulb. I can't find the reason why...
Leds can last well over 50 years if they receive the correct power, i have a hifi thats 40 years old and its full of leds and theyre all perfect
some of this infomation is incorrect, constant current drivers vary the voltage by the amount of leds its driving
or a dummy load

How many 200 watt led drivers can I run of one 15 amp circuit
7. lighting is a continuous load, therefore you need to factor out 1.25, [15/1.25=12], from the circuit capacity as per the NEC, leaving you with 12amps to use. 200w/120V = 1.67. 12/1.67 = 7.18. so you can use 7 as long as there's nothing else on the 15A circuit.
Moench0651 awesome man thank you so much for your reply it helps a lot
Hi Sir
Can I charge my 12 volt battery which I taken from my bycicle using led driver ?
I wouldn't use an LED driver to charge a battery. Most of those rechargeable batteries require a very specific volt/current curve.
