  • Visit and eat your way through Italy with local Italian sisters living in Italy, Benedetta and Valeria. Let's go VisEAT Modena! 😀
    Modena is a small city in Italy's northern region of Emilia-Romagna that is so so rich in many ways. It is the home of balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano, tortellini, Lambrusco wine, Ferrari, and Maserati. It's the hometown of operatic lyric tenor Luciano Pavarotti and Massimo Bottura, chef and owner of the World's Best Restaurant Osteria Francescana. And the people are so friendly!
    Let's go visit and eat our way through Modena!

    Meraviglia! Grazie infinite! What is the difference between Vincotto from Puglia and Balsamico di Modena?

    • @LocalAromas
      @LocalAromas  Před rokem +1

      Vincotto from Puglia and and Saba from Modena are both cooked grape must. Balsamic vinegar starts from the cooked grape must but then goes through an aging process.

      @@LocalAromas Thank you!!! You are the first person to whom I have asked the question that provided an answer. That gives you an enormous amount of credibility! Now I can sleep much better! By the way, there is an ingredient you need to include in your Care Packages! Artichokes (carciofi)! They are expensive here in the states. A week ago they were six dollars each at my market. I fully expected gold coins hidden inside, but there was no such luck! The prices in Ravenna, Italy run approximately 50 cents each. It is the same thing here with pepperoni - but different prices…. However, I understand there are agricultural concerns that can cause importation problems at customs at the border - which can have an edge of irony. But the important thing is, thank you for the excellent explanation! Abbracci!
