  • We are at Kirkenes Høybuktmoen Airport (KKN/ENKR), where we see the full start-up, taxi, take-off on RW06, and manually flown departure from the cockpit of a Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800. The 2 hour flight was going to Oslo Gardermoen (OSL/ENGM). Enjoy the view from the jump seat. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.

No airspeed match check on takeoff (e.g., 80kts - check)?! ... Odd. That's an important check. Airspeed indicator mismatch have been the cause of accidents!

I heard it but it was very quiet ,i wasnt supposed to heard it because the plane is very noisy, you heard the beautiful and loud sound of the nose gear its not a flight simulator.

Oh well, he is a pilot tho. As long as it is done SAFE, then we shouldnt worry about how he are holding it (Just like driving a car). Every person will get some "Bad habits" to their likings. It is called being human. :)
(And if it was SO bad it was a danger to the plane or the crew/passengers he wouldnt be flying)

Engine 2 is always started first by ALL operators of the 737. It is done because DC power to the aircraft can be given by the use of engine 2. This means, that engine 1 is not needed for systems to work, and for displays to be powered. However, after landing, if a single engine taxi is to be performed, engine 2 is shut down and engine 1 is operable, as the use of the APU provides the missing DC power that engine 2 would be supplying. Also, engine 2 allows the hydraulics (especially electrical hydraulics) to function properly as the DC power is being supplied.
