Great days in NASCAR. These guys went to an automobile dealer bought new cars, took them to a dirt track, and raced them after painting a number on the doors. That was tuff in more ways than one, things no one would even consider today!
Most of the late model racing in the Midwest back then was put on by MARC, today known as ARCA, who even then had working agreements with NASCAR which at the time was a small organization.
