I've had a few requests to visit the Clark Veterans Cemetery so I went there on Wednesday to check it out. This cemetery is located in Angeles City just inside the Main Gate to Clark Freeport Zone on Manuel A Roxas Highway, it is open to the public every day of the year besides Christmas and New Years Day.
There are 9060 U.S. Armed Forces and Philippines Military Service Men and Women and their dependents buried here and it is maintained by the American Battle Monument Commission ABMC. There are veterans interred at Clark who served in every American conflict since the Spanish-American War, including the Philippine-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War and Iraq War. There are over 2100 unknowns buried at Clark.
By special agreement with the Philippines Government, the cemetery remains open to burials of American Veterans and Philippine Scouts. The VFW Post 2485 provides full military honors. There are an average of 40 burials a year at Clark Veterans Cemetery.

To me it's almost impossible not to get emotional when we think about the sacrifices that so many made for the freedoms of others because we all know that Freedom isn't Free. Thank you for your video and thank you to all who have and still are fighting for our freedoms. You will always be in our hearts and may you all always be remembered for the heroes that you are.

I spoke to the Manila VA last month and was informed that they stopped burying us there about a year ago. I will keep rechecking.
We all gave some, Some gave all ! Thank you to all my service and combat veterans !
yes so true 👍🙏
When I saw that cemetery from perimeter roads back in 1972 I always who was buried there thanks for the video now I know
yes you are welcome 😁
My good friend is in that Cemetery.. David Griffiths.. U.S. Navy.. I am really surprised they let you go inside .. They don't let many people in unless they are having a service I thought.. The VFW does a wonderful job recognizing our US Veterans!!! Thank you Veterans!!! May God Forever Bless the Philippines and USA and our deep loving committed relationship!! Thank you to all who maintain the cemetery in such a exceptional way!!! Thank you Chad!!
yes very well maintained 👍 exceptional condition absolutely stunning to see and overwhelming to be in the presence of all the buried Service members and family members 😳😢 they paid the ultimate sacrifice for our safety 🙏
@@chubsDubC Yes Chad, I too feel a deep emotional bond to those that have given all for our freedom and their families. Lots of history there and awesome warriors on that sacred ground.
VA doesn’t manage the cemetery now. It changed over to the ABMC several years ago. That’s why it’s in great condition
makes sense 👍
RIP to all the lives that have lost in World War II

excellent plan to join 🙏
Great job Chubs!!!
thank you Joseph 🫶
Oh, wow! at 0:20 to 0:25. That's how the American flag and Philippine pennant flew from December 1899 to 4th of July 1946 like a state flag . Republican President Herbert Hoover vetoed the Philippine independence bill. Democrat congress, senate and President Woodrow Wilson signed away Philippines in 1917.
thank you for your comments 😁👍
thx chubs,, we need a reminder now and then,,freedom is not free !
so true 👍🙏
Thanks for this, will be adding a link on the map.
thank you Ray 👍🙏
Thank You! RIP!
🙏
The cemetery isn’t far from Walking St. it’s not a cemetery for just war dead. There are veterans and their family members there. I have a child there. I was on active duty at the time. 1977
🇵🇭
The heartbreaking part is seeing a tombstone that says Unknown. This is a Family that had never any closer of their Son or Daughter where abouts. Only a MIA Missing in Action. Heartbreaking for the family and the solders possible Wife & children or just that of the Tombstone. Unknown.
i agree, never knowing would be terrible, a grave stone with name gives the family a place to pray and speak to their past family members
All gave some, Some gave all
nicely said 👍
@@chubsDubC Old saying from Korean war vet
My friends Ken and Duke are buried in Clark...
God Bless them for their Service 🙏
@@chubsDubC Thank you, Kind words.. Duke was Navy man, retired, well known in AC. Ken I think was civilian contractor. Both great friends, miss very much. Well done respectful video, thank you.
