Some people say and complain they were born in the wrong era when it comes to old music like this and I'm like who cares it's still here to enjoy like me personally I was born in the 1990s but that never stopped me from loving and collecting this kind of music. Like get a grip people, it's not a big deal where you have to whine and complain about everything. Just shut up and listen to it if you're so worried about it.

Elvis probably won over quite a few skeptical parents with this song.

Beautiful, of course. And one of the wife's bestest favourite Elvis recordings (love her, she cries at 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' and 'Crying In The Chapel' - OK I sob bitterly with 'Old Shep' and 'Don't Cry, Daddy' btw .. we were born out of our true era). Totally Perfect Pop. ;o)

The RCA monicker "New Orthophonic" was not the basis for the sound of this recorded side - It was supposed to sound like an older Victor record "Orthophonic" from the late 1920s (hence the tape hiss)

    Lyrics:
Love me tender, love me sweet
    Never let me go
You have made my life complete
    And I love you so
Love me tender, love me true
    All my dreams fulfilled
For my darling I love you
    And I always will
Love me tender, love me long
    Take me to your heart
For it's there that I belong
    And we'll never part
Love me tender, love me true
    All my dreams fulfilled
For my darling I love you
    And I always will
Love me tender, love me dear
    Tell me you are mine
I'll be yours through all the years
    Till the end of time
Love me tender, love me true
    All my dreams fulfilled
For my darling I love you
    And I always will

Elvis Presley did not co write this song. It was borrowed from a Civil War era song for Pete's sake!

Maybe not but it's based on a song called Aura Lee.
