My hair was too short for this style but yeah every single one of my friends, 1998-2003 I wanna say this was it for formal hairstyles

For sure. I wore that color my junior Christmas dance back in 1994 and the dress was like $15 from a store by the name of 5-7-9 (the only sizes they carried) can you imagine that today??? 😱
I went in to the hairdresser and she was yapping about making me look like Marilyn Monroe and - I came out with a Jackie Kennedy bouffant- it was 95 and I looked 95 - my mom and her best friend laughed hysterically - I cried.

Your 2006 Homecoming look is essentially the same as my 2005 Homecoming look, except my dress was even more '00s than yours. It had glued-on glitter dots all over because we were CLASSY. I got it at DEB, of course.

The senior homecoming look gave me PTSD flashbacks. So many girls had that type of dress at my senior prom. Many of them also chose to get a full head of box braids...they were all white girls. Lord, preserve me. 😭😭😭

I didn't go to my senior prom in 07 but I saw people as they went in to the venue and EVERY GIRL HAD THE SAME DRESS ON . Just different colors. I'm not kidding. I didn't go because the dress I wanted I couldn't get made so I just ditched it.

Senior prom I wore a white halter dress and thought I was being unique cuz white wasn't really a prom color then (2004). Inspo was a Scarlett Johansson updo with a poufy front. I remember the look like it was yesterday 🥲

Unpopular opinion, as a gen z born in 2002, I actually love those 2000s updos, they give me Cinderella vibes and I think it's a better way to make you look more dressed-up compared to wearing your hair down with a formal dress ❤
