I have a Shark Domain deck, and it runs all the Armored Xyz stuff. My favorite line of play is I make rank 4 Bahamut Shark, activate to summon torpedo (or Rebarian Shark), overlay Full Armored Black Ray over Rebarian, overlay Armor Fortress over Ray, then for Bahamut I overlay Utopic Ray if possible. Then, double detach off Fortress, searching Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One off Rebarian Shark, then overlay over Fortress with Crystalzero Lancer, then either keep it or overlay into Dark Knight Lancer. So I have either two mass negates (if I go Crystalzero and Utopic Ray), or a mass negate and a possible steal during my turn (If I go Utopic Ray and Dark Knight Lancer), and then when I draw RUM - Seventh, I go straight into Silent Honor - DARK, giving free removal by stealing as material.
@@joeywarren60 I kind of gathered that, but to even consider running N.As.H. an N.As.Ch. you would have to run 2 Number 101s... I cut Seventh One from my deck and kept Quick Chaos.... (I run C101, C73, and C32(On Percy)) Xyz Revive Splash's graveyard effect can rank up cheat. I also run Valiant Shark Lancer...
I think the main reason to use this over the others is because of the fact it not only discards a Spell/Trap, but also does so without starting a chain. There’s no window for your opponent to prevent you from discarding the Spell/Trap, even if they have disruption for FAURL itself. Any decks that use R1-4 in any capacity that want their searchable Spells or Traps to get sent to the GY for their effects there, and either don’t want to waste deck space on FBG or are afraid of them being bricks in-hand, might want to think about using this.
I'm sure there's a line where you summon this after already summoning Armor Fortress to pitch the Full-Armored Xyz you searched so you don't have to activate it on field first.
It's just stupid the new Chaos Drake Shark can't discard a Trap too, it would give the deck ways to extend with Ice Barrier, no longer making it a garnet only useable with the foolish spell.
There is a reason why Reincarnate Unveil Mail exists. So you can pull off a lot of attacks in the battle phase. Attack with the monster that has Unveil Mail equipped, attack with Shark Drake, activate the monster's effect equipped with Unveil Mail, return it to the hand, send it to the grave go into C32 then attack some more. But Shark Drake Leviathan is just that good, a double attack 3100 beater with piercing and is able to 0 your opponent's monster's stats as well as negate effects. Drake Shark just allows them to also snatch spell/traps too. You do realize how kind of broken it would be if you could send traps, Xyz Poseidon Splash, Virtue Stream, Xyz Revive Splash, Full-Armored Xyz would be able to be triggered because if you could send traps, you would be sending these too. And they all become live.
Eh, the other 4 shark numbers (leviathan dragon counts) still need their chaos rank ups. Maybe they'll have different alternate summoning conditions that allow for that... assuming we don't get a "rank-up-magic - shark suprise" spell or anything.
So I guess the OCG name is "Full Armored Hope Ray Lancer" then? Quick check on the wiki shows yes. GD, Pachinkomoney really doesn't want the TCG to have any hope huh?

I’ll never complain about getting more armoured XYZ cards, armoured sharks is so fun I debated getting it in paper play
My only criticism of this card is that it's not a number monster like in the anime
I mean it makes enough sense since Black Ray Lancer was not a number monster either

Anime armored XYZ makes the equipped monster change its name and atk to whatever it's equipped with so in that context, black ray lancer IS utopia

A fellow domain player, I see. Funny enough, I run a Utopia deck that includes both this card and S0, and it’s been a lot of fun to play!

its bonkers for sharks for being a consistent way to discard ice barrier or directtly put in the GY the armored xyz trap

Well the problem here is, you gotta discard a spell for Utopic Lancer when with the Full Armroed Black Ray Lancer, you don't.
