In this video, I'm touring the Toyota Fuel Cell Production plant in Japan. This is the world's first hydrogen car factory, and it's responsible for producing the Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicles.
The tour of the plant is fascinating, and it's amazing to see how Toyota has managed to bring this revolutionary technology to the market. The Toyota Fuel Cell Production plant is a testament to the power of innovation, and it's an example of what can be achieved when collaboration between government, business and academia is achieved. Thanks for watching!
Toyota Motor Corporation ushered in the future with the launch of the Toyota "Mirai" fuel cell sedan, followed by the Japan start of sales one month later. Today, Toyota held a production ceremony to mark the milestone of a new age of vehicles at its Motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan.
Production first started at the Motomachi Plant in 1959, and over its 56 year history, the manufacturing facility played a central role in realizing the dream of Toyota founder Kiichiro Toyoda: to foster an automotive industry in Japan and benefit society at large.
The plant started life as Japan's first dedicated passenger car production facility. It has been home to some of Toyota's most notable models, including the "Publica", "Corona", "Cresta", "Soarer", "Supra", "RAV4", and the Lexus "LFA" supercar.
The former "LFA Works"―where highly skilled craftspeople hand-built each of the 500 series limited Lexus supercars to some of the highest standards in the industry―has now become the home of the Mirai, just over two years since the last LFA exited the factory.
This small but dedicated facility is now charged with producing the hydrogen-powered sedan with the same care and attention to detail, with an estimated three units coming off the production line every day.
This video is a tour of the Toyota Mirai fuel cell production facility, which shows you how the factory operates and how Toyota is producing the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell cars. You’ll learn about the challenges Toyota has faced in developing this new technology, and see the factory in action as we build a hydrogen fuel cell car!

If hydrogen is produced in the process of water electrolysis (mainly wind generators and photovoltaic panels), and the used components (carbon fibres, etc.) are burned in plasma furnaces operating on the basis of magnetic traps, there is a great chance for a global adaptation of the hydrogen fuel cell. No batteries can be considered due to the impossibility of additional transmission of huge amounts of electricity for fast charging. In addition, there is no sufficient transmission infrastructure to achieve this goal! It is important that the batteries have a low energy index per useful kilogram of their weight and are too heavy!
I wish Internet users a Happy New Year 2023!

Compressed H2 is difficult to make at industrial scale.. they 1st have to solve this problem... the hazard issue is no biggie. There's lpg cars, busses etc running around and you don't hear about huge explosions or what not... if you came up with gasoline or alcohol based platforms today, you wouldn't get passed the reception desk of the epa or the ntsb..
