2007 is one of my favorite formats! Love how this deck could draw, donk and hit pretty well! Definitely my favorite deck in this format alongside Flygon ex

Love this deck, played this alot when I first started playing competitive pokemon. Had plenty of games where I flipped 2 heads turn one for a donk haha

Really great video, as always. Early DPP era is probably the formats I've played the least so the explanations/insights you gave about the format were great. I am confused on when this format was actually played. I thought Worlds 2007 was Deoxys to Power Keepers, and by 2008 Worlds the Holon engine had rotated. Did rotation not happen right after 2007 Worlds?

The sets for Worlds 2007 format was Deoxys through Diamond and Pearl (base). Some of the Japanese players did well playing speed Empoleon. Various forms of the Infernape deck were somewhat popular at Battle Roads in 2007 before Worlds according to what I have heard. The 2007 Worlds rotation made it Holon Phantoms on.
Here are the bulbapedia links I got some of the information from, if you are interested the first one is for 2007 and the second is for 2008:

Love this deck - this was the first one my sister played back when we both started playing the game for the first time. Didn't have the holon's engine at the time (right after rotation in 08) but it still worked pretty well until Plox came out

    Another informative video. Thanks.
The Spinda tech was new to me. I read in the comments that it was the one from LM. That leads me to a question. Would you consider doing a series on random techs people used by set or even by year? If so, please make sure to include the techs that may have had a very short life span also.

I would also like this. I am interested in hearing about techs from the time and what people innovate later in a formats life.

Wouldnt a 2/2 Celios PETM split be nice? You cant search for Delcatty ex with this list

Generally you burn through your deck fast enough that you'll find Delcatty EX by the time you need it. Celio's Network is a great consistency card being able to search Jirachi, Chimcar, or Delcatty. That range of flexibility especially in the opening hand is stronger than PETM which is a dead card in the opening.

LM 26. It drew cards and could slow your opponent done.

@@thelostzonetcg I did not know about that tech. Thanks for letting me know. I hope you keep mentioning random techs like that.
