    A 59 year old problem disappeared thanks to CeraVe. Tried EVERYTHING from dermatologists. My daughters have the same skin issue and I was thrilled I could give them a bottle of CeraVe each that helped them.
    Now I’m trying out the SA smoothing cream on my scars with a formidable good effect. After several operations the skin around the scar is suffering, the delivery of nutrition to the skin seems to be disturbed, and the skin is always dead, grey and dry. I have tried it all, without any effect. The SA cream dissolves the dead skin cells within hours and lets new soft skin appear. It doesn’t treat the CAUSE which is on a cellular level, but it gives me joy to get rid of the dead grey skin.
    Sometimes the least impressive bottles are the ones that is worth gold. Like CeraVe, The Ordinary and Niod.

      Basically means that they aren't tested on animals, example, normally a large part of an animal is shaved, a cream is only put on one half of that area, it's exposed to radiation for hours that burns the skin on the side without cream, sometimes even the side of the cream will hurt the animal because of chemicals.
      Today living tissue can be created where these chemicals can be tested without the need to use animals. Having the "cruelty free" logo doesn't guarantee that it's 100%, it doesn't guarantee that it will not harm animals in other ways, but I think it' a good way to start becoming aware of the problem

    I remember when Cerave was hyped up on social media my Target was out of Cerave products for weeks. I loved the BP Acne Cleanser but had to find something else since it was not in stock. The PM moisturizer was my first face moisturizer I loved years ago. My BF suffers from acne, oily, and sensitive skin so Cerave’s cream cleanser works great for him and always goes back to it when he tries something new. As an affordable no frills this what you get line it’s pretty good.

    Cerave healed my skin barrier. I'm almost finished with the tub I bought before I went Vegan. Once it is finished I'll switch to QV intensive with ceramides. Its a Australian dupe for Cerave. It is vegan and cruelty free. I tried the Ceramedx and just didn't hydrate my face enough and had some problematic ingredients for those with skin sensitivities.

    I appreciate this video very much. I have acute eczema since childhood and for years my dermatologists were giving me samples and encouraging me to lather in Cetaphil. By the age of 25, living in the Caribbean my skin barrier was so damaged and dry because no matter how much amount of Cetaphil I lathered in the morning or after shower, no matter how many cortisone creams or allergy pills I took, my face and body skin erupted badly. It was after a full allergy test in an Allergist Center that I found I was allergic to many food items including nuts. Cetaphil had Macadamia oil and my allergist suggested to switch to CeraVe. My life changed the moment this happened. Cannot understand why doctors prescribe or encourage these items when they don't work for everybody. No brand is perfect and I wish there were many more natural, eco-friendly options to try and proven by science that do not damage my skin but so far I have not been able to find a brand that meets all the boxes. CeraVe works for me so far but after this video, I am left wondering what other options are out there that care for the planet and earth and are not animal tested, will start researching more... thank you for sharing this.

The cream is a little heavy for hotter months, but the lotion, as well as other products with ceramides, work best in the summer. I also like the price point. That one should be a no-brainer for any cosmetics company, IMO. As for Skinfluencer culture, I find it deplorable that there are people who know literally nothing about what they’re putting on their skin, but have access to great photography, makeup, lighting and filters, and tens of thousands of people LISTEN to these idiots. It’s mind-boggling. I’m happy to have found this channel. It’s so nice to have a Skinfluencer with a brain and standards! Keep it up!!! I may be wrong but I believe CeraVe does not test on animals themselves, but they do sell in countries that require their products to be tested, but for the United States they do not test. So the testing is third party as they want to sell in places like China. It becomes a moral grey area because in order for the brand to stop testing entirely then have to stop selling to entire countries which would limit access to people who may need the products.

    • @ladycaticorn2950
      @ladycaticorn2950 Před rokem

      It is not unreasonable to ask brands to stop selling to countries that require animal testing or to enter into new agreements that prohibit animal testing. I believe this is happening with some brands that do business with China for this very reason (i.e., consumers don't want to support animal testing and China doesn't want to lose access to these goods). But to your point, it's not a moral grey area. For example, if you pay a company tthat happens to have someone shoot dogs for them in another country, you're still responsible because you gave the company money, which they used to support their dog-shooting practices. Your dollar is your vote, so if you give your money to companies that test on animals, you're saying it's okay and that there are no economic incentives for them to stop testing on animals.
