    Is that radio modified? I didn't know ham radios can tune to other frequencies.

      Good question. This one is not. Lots of Ham radios come with "out of band" for listening. Air Band, commercial shortwave etc. You don't need a license to listen. Thanks for the question and 73.

      I listen for the radio aspect and I stay away from politics on this channel. There is plenty of that elsewhere. 73
