- This is my 2021 Desk Setup tour, a productive working from home setup that I use every day. I wanted to create a workspace that keeps me motivated and productive but still has a personal style, somewhere I enjoy working from each day.
Over the last 3 years of working from home I’ve made various changes to this setup, so I’ll show you the standing desk, DIY shelves, walnut wood accessories, LG 4K monitor and everything I use on my walnut, black and grey themed setup. Some items have been removed since my last tour, see if you can spot them.

I have got an M1 MacBook Pro planning to revamp my desk
well I do periodically work from home... if school sending me home to isolate counts?

The wood is just beautiful. Such a nice change from the usual white or black gaming desks I’ve seen. Im obsessed with natural styles and plants. That sense of nature is exactly what i was looking for. Will definitely be getting some of these.

2021 Desk Setup. I have 2 Autonomous bases and LOVE them. 1 of them is under the 98 inch Ikea top, the other under the Autonomous bamboo Top. I also just got the bamboo version of those speakers and love the look of them. The Autonomous chair could use a bit more padding in the seat but other than that is far better than most chairs I have ever owned.

Nice update to your desk setup! I’m thinking of investing in this monitor, upgrading from a 27” QHD Dell Ultrasharp, which I’ve had for 3 years but was actually released in 2014. I use it as my TV as well and it’s time to size it up a bit, plus I’m getting tired of the fiddly on-screen controls (not controllable by software on the Mac), which I change multiple times throughout the day to change the colour temperature and brightness. It does have programmable preset buttons, but I haven’t found a good combo to make it less annoying. Need to do some more research on my potential new monitor contenders to make sure I’m not going to be just swapping one set of annoying controls for another!
I’m contemplating this one you’ve got, or maybe the LG 34WK95U (such snappy names), which they call “5K2K” resolution which is actually just 5120x2160… but it’s nearly twice the cost of this 32”! Also doesn’t have the ergo stand in the listings I’ve seen… I’ve got an “Onkron” arm already, but unhelpfully only for up to 27”, so that’ll need replacing either way!
I have one tip for your setup - rollerblade wheels for your chair! I’ve got the Humanscale Freedom chair, and the wheels were already good, but I noticed one day they needed cleaning… by which point I thought I might as well upgrade them (I’m sure there was logic in there somewhere… maybe just excuses)! I bought these when they were on sale for £16 which was great value, but they’re brilliant. Tons of these sold on Amazon from different brands, and I highly recommend getting hold of some and doing away with the carpet protector :) www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07V6PSXVN
