Watched a video from CNN and they interviewed a former Russian Lawmaker that has been in exile since he voted against the Crimea move. He stated that the attack was done by a partisan anti-Putin group. He stated that the drones were noncommercial and had been built in a garage. He stated that they had considered May 9th but changed their mind. He also said that the air defense didn't work because the drones were launched near the Kremlin.
Do what you want with that info. I didn't witness anything and do not know.

The red in the flash was strontium. That was a firework not a high explosive explosion. It didn't even rip the flag off.
The drones didn't even hit the dome. They were remotely detonated in the air to make sure they wouldn't cause any damage. It looks like fireworks were used because no shockwave and not even the flag on the dome is affected. Cheap tricks.
The attackers were aiming for the flag. Read my comments above for the only logical explanation for who's behind the attack.

Anyways, there's a resistance group called "Freedom of Russia Legion", that is pushing for Russia to change the Russian flag to a white-blue-white flag. They have the perfect motive to attack the flag on the Kremlin. It seems pretty obvious, to me.

The single biggest factor indicating a false flag operation was the small amount of damage involved.

Who had his/her camera zoomed exactly on the spot where the drone exploded? It is certainly not a CCTV camera. Who was there with their camera zoomed on that specific spot at 2:00 AM!! A tourist?!!
I hope you can comprehend facts. There were two drone strikes. The first one wasn't photographed, but the sound had people climb the roof to investigate, that's why the cameras are pointed to the spot, at the people on the roof and thus captured the second drone hit even though it was 2am or so.

And then people climbed onto roofs because of it and waited 20 minutes until another drone came? And as far as I know, there is footage of both drones.
@Stuart Turner You are right. I watched a BBC video now which shows two strikes as well as a clock face, the two strikes are 15 min apart. The second drone is not visible in the footage, only the explosion. This footage was taken of both strikes, the second came from the east.
Looks to me like someone was trying to take down the flag. I see no sign of it being shot down just blowing up to take down the flag
I love how the camera was perfectly centred and focussed on the spire of the dome itself in order to perfectly capture the perfectly-choreographed pyrotechnic charge detonate right on cue, immediately after the expertly-controlled and backlit drone flies smoothly into view..
Steven Seagal did it ! He is experienced in "special effects", convinced russian citizen and great fan of Vladimir.

Well said! I find it amusing that the self proclaimed 2nd strongest army is readily announcing it's incompetence and impotence in stopping two tiny drones.....
You didn't mention the personnel climbing the stairs to the top of the dome as the drone approached. You know - to make certain nothing caught fire from the flashy but non-explosive pyrotechnics.
They were just technicians who had been called in to adjust the tv antenna (the Kremlin had lost its connection & was unable to synchronise their sets to "Dallas" Episode no. 3457)

Two more to make it an even 10. Why were the lights off in only that building when they are never off? And, why were two guys climbing up there just as the drone hit? Answer 1. Because they wanted to make it look like the drones knocked out the lights. Answer number 2. To contain a fire if one broke out. However, with a slate roof, there was little danger of that.

But the time involved between the two displays (I refuse to call them attacks), and the location of the nearest fire department leads me to call bullshit. Firemen are asleep at 2:30 AM. They have to wake up, get dressed, then drive over to the Senate building, THEN get up to the roof.
Nope. No way they get up there that fast. They were already at the Senate building waiting for this event.

Russian media had suggested some months ago that they had installed air defences in Moscow and around the Kremlin. If this drone can get through, then these defences cannot be that good. This incident may actually incite further attacks from russian anti-war rebels.
Exactly. Russia wouldn't want to expose weak air defense like that. That's why I think this attack was performed by the "Freedom of Russian Legion". They have a white-blue-white flag that they want Russia to change to. They have the perfect motive for that attack.

Yes, but I would say they wouldn't bother with this sort of demonstration at all.
Based on what I've seen for 15 months, Ukraine wouldn't waste a drone on a symbolic target like this. If Ukraine can reach Moscow with a drone, then they'd hit Kubinka airfield. Or some fuel tanks that would burn and be visible to every Russian for miles around.
And they'd put a serious payload on the drone. Not the fireworks display the FSB rigged on these two drone.

They refused to even admit it was sunk by enemy action. Contrast that with their eagerness to credit the enemy in this attack.

Both those people were part of the ultra-nationalist/Z-radicals who are anti-west and anti-Ukraine but who are also openly and blatantly criticising of the Kremlin for its terrible handling of the war.

They had a guy on CNN who was the only Russian MP to oppose the occupation of Crimea in 2014 - he is now living in exile. He said that this was done by Russian partizans to try and get the Russians to cancel the May 9th parade. he also said that he knew who did it! (I have no idea if this is true or not, but this is a more plausible story than accusing the Americans and would also explain the 12 hour silence better.)
Those were not real explosions - they were display fireworks to give a visual display.
I've seen better pyrotechnics at rock concerts.
I would humbly add one other factor I have noticed after the "bombing" and that any military expert in the comments could perhaps explain in more correct technical terms. This factor is the color, the way the explosion propelled itself from the supposed hit point, and the extent of the blast, that is gunpowder or a similar explosive, it is not, for example, C4 military grade.
I find these actions by Russian officials both amusing and worrying, since it is a sign they have no more options left.

It looks similar to an accelerant or literally a tank of gas or similar substance which will quickly ignite, releasing all its energy as light without much kinetic energy to damage surrounding areas. My background is in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, drug synthesis, chemical and biomedical engineering.

I loved the cinematic HD video recording of the 2nd drone flyby it was a directors wet dream, we had the mystical full moon hanging there in the sky behind the Dome and the upright pole of Russian masculinity, the fluttering flag to the forefront of the image and the power of the Kremlin Dome sandwiched between the Moon goddess and the sacred flag and then we had this little pop pop drone slowly flying in front of this incredible imagery in a beautiful serene manner and then in a great flash of magnesium pyrotechnics and a cloud of blackpowder from the firecraker, the drone fell from the sky in bits. Magnificient! .. clearly the first drone flyby wasn't cinematic encough and so they sent up the second drone after reviewing the film.
The drone did not hit the building.
It exploded above the building and then fell on to the roof.
If Ukraine were to try and hit that building, they would use something a little bigger, which would do a lot more damage 😂😂✌️🇺🇦.

As US Military says we have Bigger and Better Drone's and that building would be leveled to ground not just landing on roof ! Plus most of our new Drones are Stealthy.

If they want to destroy a building, they would use something with more power like a moab.
But it's well known the Ukrainians want putin to stand trile for wot he's done.
Also, as stated in the video, there is a dead zone around the Crumlin, and only Russian authorities would be able to switch this off to allow a drone on to the area.
Only Russians' military would be stupid enough to think anyone will fall for this stupid thing...
I think the main reason for doing it at night was:
That tiny flame might not have really been visible for many people during the day. Also less people would have heard it. I mean there wasn't any real damage according to the videos.
So such a tiny fire would not have been visible from very far during daylight.
Also, it was probably launched a few blocks away out of a vehicle and they didn't want witnesses. Either a false flag operation or some amateurs did it to protest Putin's war.

- drone flies behind the flag pole
- explosion clearly happens in front of the flag pole, watch the lighting even brightening up the Kremlin wall and the Senate Tower! (yet the burning debris seemingly seems to bounce off the dome)
- flag is still there after the kaboom
- 2 guys are climbing the roof while all of this happens and they don't even duck and cover
- they got it on cam, perfectly
- thing doesn't even hit the roof
- who's be sleeping in the dome?
- how could it even get there with all the security going on that you'd expect?
It is more than fishy, it's straight out obvious that it's staged.
