Nat deserved a film series of her own. You should have shown her past, her days in red room, how did she escape red room and how did she become an Avenger. Despite being a normal human, she was as powerful as other Avengers. You should have made Black widow film series 😭❤️

I haven't seen it yet but watching the trailers I can't help but feel a little...I don't know...disinterested? Like I can't remember but wasn't this film supposed to come out before Endgame and then it went through development hell? If it had been before Endgame I'd have been totally into this, but knowing her final fate in Endgame sort of takes me out of this idea simply because we know what she becomes character wise, was an entire film setting her up to become that person really necessary after the fact?

@@Goldenkitten1 I wouldn't worry too much about that if I'm being honest. The themes it explores and the messages it has transcend anything that marvel has put out before. If you enjoyed the winter soldier at all this movie wont disappoint. Plus it feels the most different in a good way. It's almost as if an intimate indie movie and a marvel movie had a baby

For me that movie was outstanding. I felt Natasha and Elena's stories very deep. I don't know why other people disliked it so much, but for me that's a personal drama and it is definitely in my top 3.

They probably dislike the villain for some reason one is that is not comic accurate both in personality and power taskmaster is a very difficult enemy but here defeating her was not that hard, someone actually suggested that if in the final battle Natasha wouldn’t be able to fight taskmaster her family would come to fight by her side, kind of enforcing the family theme

Not only does she have the avengers theme but she has it sung beautifully in Russian...Natasha and Scarlett had an incredible amount of respect from the people execs and fans to have that in her trailer and truly deserved that...watched it Friday and was in tears...way overdue nonetheless bravo tot he amazing cast and action sequences

Just saw this movie during opening weekend and it really BLEW ME AWAY! Such good pacing, great action and storyline. The chemistry between Scarlett and Florence was one of the best parts of the film. Very sad that we won't be seeing more movies with them together. :(
The pacing was really bad tho it went from eating dinner to them all of the sudden being at the final battle

Imagine how different the Avenger storyline would have been if Natasha had gone back for her sister and they both were working with the Avengers and they also rescued the remaining women under the influence of the Red Room. Imagine how cool it would be if Natasha and her sister Elena ran a superhero group with these female soldiers like a type of SHIELD.

@@wicked7337 Well, I remember last year after the pandemic started and everything someone said that when BW gets the green light for release that will kick off everything else. But I think Marvel wants to follow the tradition of releasing the first trailer of a film 6 months before the movies release so the Eternals trailer will most likely come between May and July probably the latter to play before BW in theaters.

I kinda wish that it was non linear film. Since she told us herself that she lived a lot of lives, The present story as it progressed would remind her of each lives that she lived. It actually give more substance to movie. We could've seen her as an assassin to the avenger that she is now. ♥️

Yeah I've said the same. Since it's coming out after her death it could be seen as a tribute. It would be cool if the premise was the Avengers, specifically Hawkeye or Bruce or both of them, finding a journal of her memoirs and this movie being the sum of those memoirs. I don't know if that's how they did it but it probably should have been. It would make it all the more emotional I think.
And the other funny thing is that for some reason Natasha's surname is pronounced as "Romanoff", when in russia such pronunciation would work only for a male. So the correct way to pronounce her surname would be "Románova". Just like you pronounced her sister's surname "Belóva"

I recently watched Black Widow and its not your typical action super hero spy thriller movie now business. Performance wise its truly incredible how Scarlett Johansson plays the role from former spy to a heroine worthy of the title Avenger. The cinematography is beautiful from Atlanta to the bustling streets of Morocco which raises the action to spectacular new heights of excitement. The story focuses on the bond between sisters which is used to fullest potential overall I give Black Widow an Editor's choice 8.8 out of ten have a blessed evening give your parents hugs and kisses.
A moment of silence to those MCU fans that didn't survive the pandemic long enough too see this film unfortunately. Our hearts and minds go with you.

I still don't get why this was released after she died, unless her Sister will be the next Black Widow or something? Also it's really sad that in Endgame Tony got a funeral meanwhile Hawkeye and Hulk seemed to be the only 2 who cared Black Widow died, no one else seemed to care even though without either her dying or Hawkeye Tony never would've even been able to do his sacrifice and save the day.
@@Werewolf914 Technically that lake scene was supposed to be the funeral for her, just not as explicit as Tony's at the end of the movie. Also, take into account, Tony's funeral had the benefit of everyone returning from Thanos' snap, while at the time of Nat's death, there weren't much people around except for the people that were in that lake scene. Not to mention the lack of body to bury. Thematically though, hear me out, it kind of made sense: Black Widow had a "private" and quiet funeral just like how she lived her life, who was basically living in the shadows most of her life. Tony on the other hand, always wanted all the exposure/ attention the moment he proclaimed he was Iron Man, and in turn, his funeral was just as grandiose.
Still not over this trailer. Watching it in 2023. By far the best movie trailer ever!!!

This was such a good movie. Easily one of the best Marvel movies of all time. The way Johansson can carry a movie is no joke. And the supporting cast was simply fantastic. So refreshing to see Pugh in a new light, she was so so funny. Rachel Weisz and David Harbour were excellent as always. Whoever did the casting is wonderful. Having watched this, I really think the studio did Johansson dirty. People would've seen this multiple times in theatres covid or no covid.
This makes the captain marvel movie even dumber. It added nothing to the MCU. Imagine if we got this right before end game. We would have been in love with Natasha even more. She would have been positioned to be the leader of the avengers. And BAM she dies. That would have been a story ARC masterpiece.
Not the leader she was always a side character when your talking about Thor and Hulk, this movie should have been more like a Jason Bourne movie where she is running and being hunted.

Exactly. I love how we're seeing secondary characters deal with challenges and further develop into headliners. I feel like the Falcon and Winter Soldier is a 6 hour long movie. Marvel Studios continues to deliver awesome entertainment in spanning different time periods and cultures, all while keeping things connected.
@@Law260 Oh yes and I especially love that they're not making stuff that will appeal to all audiences just to make lots of money. Objectively Falcon and the winter soldier wasn't that hyped and it doesn't have lots of fan service in it. It's so well made and scripted and it's made for the big fans that want to go deeper in the mcu.

This movie on it's own is not bad. Unfortunately it should have come out far sooner. Seeing this after Endgame is like reading a book to the end after skipping chapter 6, and then going back and reading chapter 6. Even if chapter 6 were good, by reading the end before you read chapter 6 you've nearly made chapter 6 irrelevant. Hard to get into for what it could have been, when you already know "the end" from the opening scene. Good movie, very poor execution on timing.

@@chinfn123 No, you're thinking of a "prequel". This was not a Black Widow prequel. As a matter of fact outside of what they needed to introduce her sister, this had very little to do with Natasha's past. This movie should've been just prior to Infinity War. It's not a prequel. It's out of place.
