My favourite moment in this game was when the ref nailed Brad Marchand.

The funniest part was when he looked and seen that it was the ref, and he knew how soft the ref hit him and he went down.
Then the ref knew forsure how much he was making a fool of them in the playoffs by getting them to call penalties for that bs.

Yea this game was like game 2 for the leafs. Boston was not trying to lose anything, both goalies were great, the leafs were simply better. Boston is haunted by last year's result and will undoubtedly be back stronger. It feels still heavily in Boston's favour but if the leafs win game 6 all bets are off

Just don't know how this will go. Boston blew that 3-1 series lead last year. Toronto has come back from being down 3-1 just to lose in game 7 multiple times. It'd be the Leafiest thing to do it again, but it'd also be Leafy to exorcise their demons after being declared dead. This team, man.

Here is an odd stat, in the past 4 playoff series against Boston, the Leafs have won every game 5, and all in Boston. Now the later games 6 and 7, well that is another story…

Boston has such an underrated history of choking. Allowing Philly to come back from 3-0 in the series in 2010 and losing, 17 seconds in 2013 vs. Chicago, blew a 3-1 lead vs. Toronto in 2013 and 2018 (they won both), and then last year vs Florida. It seems like no one talks about how often they choke. They are revered as this incredible team, but they only have one Cup in the last 50 years (2011). Sure they have a few Finals appearances in there, but what is that worth if you don't close it out?
You couldn’t be more correct. If they hadn’t won in 2011 they’d be the biggest failures this century. That being said I think most team’s fans would trade 1 cup in their lifetime and choking for the next 20 years

If the Leafs come back to win the series against Boston, Joseph Woll needs a statue. The man was a "brick Woll" as he made many clutch saves for the Leafs, especially in certain situations late in the game.
Certain situations being the 6 or seven opportunities that you know would have 1000% been goals if that drunk Russian was in net.

After last game, it’s nice to see the team play like they give a F and it’s nice to see a goalie that can give us a chance to win. For the first time since his return, I see the Brick Woll that we had in the fall before his injury.
Look, we as a fan base need to take a step back now and let the team go. None of us had any expectation that we would make it out of this game still in the hunt. Consider every game from this point on a bonus. No stress boys, you’re doing better than we expected.
And for the team. You have a new lease on life. I want you to remember that. Every shift, every period, every game that you play from this point on was made possible because you refused to let it die. Each one from now may be your last, so leave everything you got out there. Empty the tanks on the ice, put the throttle down to the floor like you don’t care that the engines about to blow. Because you already made it further than you thought you could, why don’t you see how far you can keep going.

Was there a problem with the ice surface tonight? The Leafs struggled at times handling and passing the puck, and my Bruins were so atrociously bad that I was swearing at the screen, which I rarely do. Sean McDonough on the ESPN broadcast said the Bruins were handling the puck "like a grenade." They did not deserve to have a chance of winning that game.
Usually that’s an issue when the Celtics play at TD Garden the night before, but they didn’t. Rink being above a train station mixed with it being warm the past couple days probably didn’t help

Well, after Game 6, the answer would appear to be "no." I'm very impressed with how the Leafs played Games 5 and 6, but the Bruins have apparently forgotten how to play hockey, except for Jeremy Swayman. They can't handle the puck, make a pass, receive a pass, win a faceoff, not go offside, not ice the puck, etc. I do realize that much of their ineptitude is caused by the Leafs.

Marchand dove before he realized it was a ref. Hopefully he can’t draw anything for remainder of series because they know how bad he flops, and made a ref look bad.
Marchand don't mind being embarrassed by going down like he got shot, but the ref's hate being embarrassed like that.
