Yup, I would practice blindfolded (first edges only & second corners only).
Or you can take off layer 1 and 2 to practice t perm (yes I do daisy method)

i remember a few years ago when i was just getting into cubing my aunt kept saying she was a genius and wanted to try solving my cube and she actually peeled off the stickers to solve it. not only were all the stickers just halfway sticking, but she put them on the complete wrong sides. i had to hold back the tears while trying to laugh off the fact my aunt just destroyed my only cube and then fix the stickers when i got home
that's so sad :(

lol I remember telling my mom I was going to solve a Rubik’s cube, going to my room spending 20 minutes pealing the stickers off putting them back on solved then going to my mom showing her the cube that looked like a 2 year old had stickerd, I was proud for like 3 years til I actually learned how to solve the cube

Are you considering combining this with the easily swapped pieces? Also, do you think there could be some kind of locking mechanism so stray magnets can't rip the stickers off but it's still relatively easy for your fingers to do so?

2 Problems:
1. You can swap centers with edges or corners, allowing for weird things to happen.
2. You can mess up the color scheme VERY badly, like you did in this video.

Practice. Also, being able to rotate an object in your mind to visualize the relationship between pieces is a good skill to have.

Honestly this is a great design for people who don’t know how to solve a cube but want to try and figure it out themselves. Being able to restore the cube to a solved state let’s you play around and more easily figure out how the cube works

In the divots you can put the correct colour behind the sticker
Meaning when you take out the sticker you will see a colour behind in the hole so you know where to put it if you want it to be the correct colour scheme

Okay but in all seriousness this is a really cool idea for a cube meant for customization. Instead of having to buy stickerless cubes you just get one of these bad boys, maybe a color pack and swap the colors whenever and however you want.
Obviously it wouldn’t be ideal for speedcubing but that’s a given, right? Plus, why stop at 3 by 3s? Imagine something insane like a customizable megaminx or skewb.
The color scheme is a joke because it's 1 April FOOLS😂✌️😝

Why is this not in stores yet? This is a perfect solution for both cubers and non cubers. Also a great way to switch colors around and change them. You can add more colored squares to make new colors on the cube easily.

I just used to disassemble my original Rubik's cube and reassemble it correctly:) Never did learn to solve it without a guide.
I don't know if you are a menace for solving it in the wrong color scheme, or a legend by making the ultimate cubing meme real.

In all seriousness, this is a great concept. When you take the cuber's headache/layman's cheat and make it a functional purpose of the puzzle, it changes the purpose of the puzzle altogether. It also makes the puzzle more accessable. It would be fun to peel stickers off and make patterns that normally wouldn't work, among other things. I'm just rambling at this point, but I am interested in this puzzle/mod 😂

Do you know that with the Windmill cube, you can also change the color scheme because the fact that the edge, corners, and center pieces are solid colors.
The cool thing is you can change the color scheme completely and even swap edge pieces with corner pieces.
