I own a '03 Caldina GT Four and I completely agree with everything you have said! I really wish it was at least a 5 speed and its such a gas guzzler but I freaking love it! My wife wants to get one too!
4 speed is in my opinion the worst by far! Some cars are even worse with only 3 speed... Most importantly, I totally agree with you when you talk about 5 or even 6 speed otherwise, your car is a gigantic gas guzzler
I am an owner of GT4 NSpec as well. There are 2 more things this car I don’t like which is the “Brake” and Drive Shaft Boot easily breaking apart. Other than that, the engine is reliable as long as you keep it stock. Just a bit sad the price of this car not appreciated like those sports JDM.
I have an 02 Caldina GT4 N Spec too, my biggest complaint is the transmission, the U140F isn't really known to be great and mine went in December at 160K KMs. It's been fine since but typical early 2000s/late 90s automatic slushbox
I've got a '05 Caldina Zt! 4 speed is definitely not enough! DO you have the front headlight problem where there is a yellow tinge that you cant get rid of? That's the only problem I have with mine.
yeah, 4speed isn't enough. And I am also thinking to change it to manual. but if i change the manual gear box, i have to change the engine or not?? suggestion pls
No need to change the engine, but you have to consider modifying to relocated the handbrake, make a hole on the firewall to fit the clutch pump and clutch paddle, fitting the gear shifter console, and if you want to maintain the awd terrain, make sure you get the whole transmission set comes with the rear differential as well, because the rear box ratio is different not the same..
@@myominnu4746 get open pod air filter, aftermaket exhaust system, engine management (such as emanage or etc), downpipe, external wastegate (optional if u prefer to adjust boost from there) or else you can increase boost from the oem actuator only. Make sure to get the engine management tuned by a good tuner
@@2917anwar thanks alot. I already got bov, downpipe and boost controller also. I haven’t do anything to the engine yet. So can i install the waste gate now?
@@myominnu4746 Adjust the boost controller to 1.2 bar and get a engine management for tuning the af ratio. Get a proper aftermarket exhaust system installed and you are good to go.

Loud road noise and the engine sound are two things I don't like about my GT-FOUR.

I have one additional thing I complain about daily, it has the worst turning circle of any car I've owned.
It's not so bad... The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5 is even worse
