    Wow! Such expert advice. Hey, millennial, why don’t you clean the fucking engine or do you like it to be as dirty as your house?

      This isn't my car bubby. I was just helping a friend get their car back on the road.
      My engine bay is much dirtier.

    Nice video. If your thermostat hasn't been changed in awhile it's not a bad idea to throw a new one in when the alternator is out. Thermostat is located down in a hole that the alt blocks...easy to access when the alt is out.

    Best video ever. Very easy to understand. Pretty quick. I did it with the help of my mechanic neighbour , your video helped a lot. I don’t know much about doing all these stuff. But I did it , feeling proud. 😅

    Thanks for the video. You should have at least 14 Volts with only headlights. 12.16V will discharge the battery quickly!

    pull the cover off and use a 19mm combo wrench and stack it with another wrench to take off belt

    • @bruceyyyyy
      @bruceyyyyy  Před 3 lety +1

      I want to say I tried taking the cover off but it didn't help. So I put it back and didn't show it. But if you can get it to work that's awesome!

    What happens if you break that bolt on the tensioner? How do you get the belt off the alternator at that point?

    • @bruceyyyyy
      @bruceyyyyy  Před rokem +1

      Best bet is probably to replace the entire tensioner assembly.

      Is that the voltage? It should be full accessory load so AC, defrost, and headlights.

    Um not to bash but why did you skip showing the removal of the bottom bolt? It is kinda Long so was it a pain getting it off and did you have to remove any other parts, the long version is always better and skip the easy wrench twisting and show the tough ones so we can laugh at ourselfs and you, lol.

    • @bruceyyyyy
      @bruceyyyyy  Před 20 dny

      It just came out for me. I did show removing them around the 3:30 mark.
