A real bargain for just thirty two and half thousand pound . It looked more spacious than most studio apartments and only needing a small amount of money to get the air conditioning replaced. Good sized swimming pool too and only about 150 pound a year service charge. 👍🙏♥️
What I like about older units is the space. Other than the view from the balcony, the AC Unit, the lighting and the fittings in the bathroom, I don't really see any other short comings. This unit is probably worth the 1.5M THB asking price. If I wanted to downsize to a studio unit, I'd seriously consider this one.

Definitely well laid out. Was designed from scratch by the current foreign owner to make the most of the space
Very liveable studio unit at a great price. I'd get rid if that glass brick partition in the bathroom and replace with safety glass, slide partition the bedroom to make it a 1-bed, get rid of that wooden furniture (old and heavy), add the new air con, a put a work desk against that faux brick wall and some art to brighten it up, but for USD$40k, with that pool, you really can't go too wrong. Good find.

what would be a reasonable rent for this unit not over the top
Current owner puts it on the rental market at 12,000 but I think if you sign for a year, you could get it down to 10,000, possibly 9,000 if it is low season

The noise can be a bit much but there is no diesel smell. Though with the current heatwave, we rarely keep the balcony door open and once shut, you cannot hear any noise from outside.

That's just ridiculous. If something is well looked after, it can outlast anything new coming on the market that is left to rot. I could name a few new builds that are falling into disrepair out here, whilst other old buildings like view talay projects are well kept and are doing fantastic for their age
