- Olivia and Nathan here! Today we're checkin' out the the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. 12 million tons of petrified wood are stolen every year from this park. 🤯
This may be America's strangest and most unique national park! A national park ranger said, "We are suspicious of everyone. The park closes at dark and we check people's vehicles on their way out to prevent theft. It's a big problem."

The Dobel Ranch which abuts against the border of the Petrified Forest has tons of wood that is identical to the protected wood inside the park. No need to steal from the park.
The place is two parks , painted desert and the petrified forest. Gave it a thumbs up. Really like the casual takes and narration. How about a blooper reel at the end?
Absolutely Bonifide! We were stupefied & edified how beautified the ossified trees prettified & intensified by polishing. Great video! You could say we are unified in being both stupefied and satisfied!👏😎👍
We visited this park in 2022 (weird to say that 😂) and we're surprised to see it closed so early but figured it had to do with theft. After talking with the ranger it was confirmed, people are jerks. 😂
Also, a quick tip you can boondock for free at the campground across from the store you visited at the end of the video. That's where we stayed.
For those of us who just HAVE to have a piece of petrified wood, along with the nice BIG pieces Olivia showed they also have little boxes of smaller pieces. I was wondering: if it's forbidden to remove pieces from the park, how are they selling them? Well there is also petrified wood outside the park and that's what you're getting. They tell you not to open the box in the park or they will think you took it from there and throw you in jail or something ;-).

You’d wonder why people would steal the petrified wood as it is for sale from private shops all around the national park!
I'm from Arizona so we'll know things you might want to see is that crater that was created by meteor should be close to where you are

question, are you not allowed to walk off the trail? I sure want to visit to see these wonders of nature but from this vid it seems so restricted, cant see the old graffiti nor the petrified wood up close?
Some trails are designated but most offer freedom to roam and get up close 👍🏽

are you aware that you need a permit now to video/still photo national parks and post them on youtube/tiktok ect.?
Hopefully they filmed it before the law was passed at the end of October 2022, but no more CZcams filming for monetization in the national parks .

@@heavencantwait1218 they still might get jammed up over it. i seen somewhere where they are going to be looking at all videos and go after money they feel is owed to them in royalty fees. now we know why biden has ordered 87,000 new IRS agents. i have a feeling this is just the beginning of what is to come.
