I absolutely do not mind your videos being long, as what you see and share with us is rather interesting
Thank you
Dude, I just visited the Wigwam in Rialto and will be doing my own video on it soon!
I love how you show all the old neon signs!! That is my occupation!!!!
Thank you for preserving history
I’ve been having a rough week but it makes me happy to see that you’re in my home state of Arizona!! Keep up the good work man, I love your videos!
Well, it certainly looked like the Weather Gods were having fun with you that day. Snow, rain, more snow HAIL!!! Yikes. The scenery along this leg of the trip has been absolutely breathtaking.
Long….are you kidding!!!your videos are so amazing the time just flies by when I’m watching…you do such a great job and I’m really having a fun time “traveling” with you…Thank You so much for letting us all tag along…
Those videos are not long at all. Keep doing them. I like the style :)
The dark clouds brought out the colors even more...absolutely beautiful.
Loved your version of “Smoke on the water” 🙃 😉. Can’t wait to see what awaits you tomorrow Jake!
Awesome pickup on the National Park annual pass. I HIGHLY recommend if yoy are going to visit a lot of National Parks, pick-up a "Passport to your National parks" book available at any National Parks giftshop. There's a place inside the book where you can get a passport stamp for every National Park you visit along with the date you visited. Plus the book shows you what all Parks are available in all the states. It's been a lot of fun collection "Cancellations" as they are referred to by the Parks. Enjoy!
Love getting a new stamp in my passport
Definitely gotta get the passport. I’m about 39 national parks seen, and plenty more monuments etc…
That’s a raven ! The way you can tell the difference is that the raven has more of a dorsal bump on its beak. It’s beak is slightly thicker than a crows and they are more husky than a crow in the scapula ( shoulder blade )
Thank you for bringing up the RAVEN. Although most people don’t know the differences between Crows and Ravens, I appreciate that you took the time to clarify the best way of identifying the birds. Cheers!
@@ShelleeGraham I’m a nerdy type that reads a lot and birds is an interest of mine lol
I think the “large crows” you saw were maybe ravens, which is super cool! Ravens always do funny things when I see them and they are fun to watch.
For your park pass, you’ll quickly make up what you spent if you see more parks in the west. For whatever reason .. fewer parks maybe.. you just don’t need one in the eastern US as much. But in the west, man oh man, the parks are everywhere. I would list my favorites, but I love them all! If you go to Olympic National Park you’ll drive through Forks, Washington which has some fun hoky references to Twilight - and the area is stunning.
It was probably freezing but that sky was perfect to see the gorgeous painted dessert as opposed to a bright clear sky, love your vids, I always jump on CZcams when I see you’ve posted 😄
🖌️🍰
YES! Exactly Right! The sky and weather were perfect for viewing the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park in NE Arizona. The hues of the formations were beautiful and not easily seen until the ☁️ clouded conditions assist!
That was cool to spot the grim life sticker
I'm happy you finally got to stay in a wigwam.
I enjoy your long videos Jacob Thanks
being in a glass bottle helps the tastes of sodas, also! lots of people don't know that
I love the national parks!! If you go to Utah you can do Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and Zion...all are gorgeous and amazing!!
Absolutely beautiful views on your travels and in the petrified forest. I loved the cute ostriches and laughed at how they were digging into the food cup 😂 your lunch looked delicious 😍 the big dinosaur sculptures were really cool 🦕 last but not least I loved seeing you play the big outdoor guitar! Thanks Jacob and best wishes ☀️
I had Covid in Jan and recovered for 3 wks. Each day i enjoyed watching your "Pick my City" route, and it was fun to see what the people voted for. So it helped me. I do miss that voting and think you should do it again. Also I think the Lincoln Hwy. would be a good project for you to do.
Great 👍 suggestion to tour the LINCOLN HIGHWAY 🛣, which is older and longer than Route 66. I’ve travelled much of the Lincoln Hwy, but not the entire route. It’s nice that old US 30 goes through Wyoming and Nevada!
@@ShelleeGraham It goes from Times Square in N ew York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco. In use since 1913, it it named after former President Lincoln who unified the country after the Civil War.
Such a lovely trip so far. Really enjoying it thanks for taking us along
This was a SUUUUPER fun video to watch. I hope you're having fun on your travels, Jacob! Loving the trex vs triceratops saga.
Jam packed vlog Jacob really enjoyed that, you are certainly covering some ground, hope you had a good night in your Wig Wam Thankyou, watch you don’t slip in your crocs, don’t want you doing yourself a mischief x
I don't mind the long videos at all. Stay safe on the road! Enjoying the videos as usual! Awesome job!
Be nice if in the future you went to Carlsbad Caverns. A very beautiful view of Caves .Sun rise and set sets you can see the bats..Comings and goings.. Its in Eddy County ,New Mexico.
I saw Fort Courage when it was open, early 70's I think.
Oh man I’m in flagstaff something you gotta check out nearby is this beautiful little strange church called the church of the holy dove it’s really amazing the inside is full of lovely graffiti from 1,00000,000s of visitors and it’s architecture is really awesome
Ha! As a recent subscriber to both you and the GrimmLifeCollective, it makes me smile to see this brief cameo. The reason I follow you all is because of your haunted house tours/Halloween events.
yes i like grimm life as well.
That national park pass was so perfect when my husband and I honeymooned in Utah years ago. Highly recommend Zion if you can make it there. Also Mesa Verde and black canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado! Sand dunes are great too, but the best time to go in late may is also the busiest time, car line to get in is usually a mile long. Shenandoah in Virginia during the fall is amazing, plus they have blackberry everything! Had a really good salad with blackberry vinegarette at their restaurant.
Eager to see you visit more national parks now, I think they work for national battlefields too.
Zion is possibly more impressive than the Grand Canyon.....just a beautiful view everywhere you look. I can't wait for Jacob to take you some National Parks.....the videos could be an hour long and still be mesmerizing to watch.
Sweet Work Jacob, Thanks!!👍👍😎 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Reminds me traveling through Georgia during the 50,s the homes where hit by tornadoes and they where missing walls on their structures.
I would love to stay in the Wigwam Village too Jake! It was a great experience to stay in either at Wigwam Village or El Rancho Hotel. Also, love seeing the museums in small towns. Have fun!
So beautiful, thank you for all you do to bring awesome content 👏 and scenery.
What beautiful scenery today! Just a hint...best way to eat a sopapilla is to make a hole in the puff and squirt the honey inside along with some butter! Safe travels!
The long videos are the best! That just means more awesome sights and more time spent together!
Yay 🥳🥳 you made it to Gallup and to JERRY'S 💯👏🏼👏🏼🌟🔥 I hope you had a great time
You are my Friend in my head. I really appreciate your journeys and you Sharing them with us. You are awesome.
I think you can use your annual pass to visit Carlsbad Caverns on the New Mexico/Texas border. It's pretty big and well lit so should be easier to film.
That storm was in our area on Monday! I saw that it had moved over that way on the news last night. Keep "galloping" on west, young man! That park is incredible. I'm glad you had that on your video. I was there in about 1976 or solo but little memory of it. Thanks!
Ah Jacob!! You found the Cowboy Muffler Man!! Made my day... This is my favorite part of the Route.. Thank You!!
My parents took my little brother and me to California on vacation - going down Route 66 - and I do believe this is where we stayed. It was I believe 1973. Never slept in a TeePee before - hahaha. I still remember what was showing that night on the b/w TV (antennas had clothes wire hangers and foil on them). "Streets of San Francisco" starring Carl Maldon and Michael Douglas. Thanx for covering this! It brings back memories. Aside from the furniture and no b/w TV and a better airconditioner, shower - looks almost the same as I remember it.1973.
Loving your trip on 66. The painted desert was beautiful. That was a Raven. They're bigger than crows. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Can't wait for the next video.
Thanks Mr. Bagger the petrified Forest is One of the coolest thing you have had on your channel
My wife & I visited the Paited Desert/Petrified Forest 2 years ago. At the overlooks for the Painted Desert, I kept expecting to see the Coyote & Roadrunner (meep! meep!). Very beautiful!
Gallup, New Mexico borders part of the Navajo reservation so that is where many of its residents go to shop at big box stores and there are also many stores selling Navajo ˙handicrafts as well.
Future National Parks to visit: I vote for Devils Tower National Monument (Wyoming).
I actually love ❤️ the longer videos 😉✌️❤
Your videos aren't too long...they are just right! Very happy to see that you purchased a parks pass!!!!! We love ours. Love your Route 66 trip...be safe!
Rosebud, welcome to the hotel California,🌞
It's been a long time since I've seen Grape Soda. My Granny loved Grape Soda. Anything Grape.
Thanks Jacob for another fascinating slice of Route 66. You the Man !
Also the IMAX theatre at the Grand Canyon. It is like a soaring over the grand canyon movie. So neat.
10:42 “the devil’s highway” 😂😂
Gallup was my mom & dad's stomping grounds when they were drinking. I've been arrested there in the mountains outside of town lol... yeah thanks for visiting and supporting the local Navajos. Ah'yeh'heh (thank you).
I took some pictures of those crows when I was at the petrified forest. They are massive!
Saludos desde México 🇲🇽🙏
This was a very ambitious video! Route 66 it’s such an interesting trip with so many things to see and experience along the way! Crazy weather, petrified wood, route 666 now for91, delicious lunch stop foods, gorgeous landscapes in the desert area, and now you’re in a wig want to spend the night! Hope you found a good place for supper enjoyment! I don’t know carpet bagger, but I think you are getting me hooked!!!
Carpetbagger, enjoyed watching Your adventures in Old Gallup on a snowy day. BTW, The GRIMMS themselves placed that Grimmlife Collective sticker on the 666 sign. They passed through that area a month ago on the way to Transworld.
My #1 CZcams crush in my favorite part of the country. Doesn’t get any better than this! Great job!
The Galoop looks like something Sonic would run on
I wonder has anyone tried to skateboard that or if that's illegal??
Wow! That must have been surprising to wake up to a snowy day! That Wigwam Village is now on my bucket list!
Those views are absolutely incredible!
The TheGrimmLife collective sticker 11:12 The couple -- > who wearing most the time black clothes and she with green hair. The weird weather shifts around when April starts
I enjoy the videos being long. I've lived in Arizona all my life and while I've been up that way before, I've never seen the inside of the Wigwams. Nice to finally see what they look like inside.
Kevin, you should spend a weekend in Holbrook and spend the night at the Wigwam, visit the 1898 Navajo County Courthouse Museum (with 1898 jail cells, in use till 1976, and great exhibits), eat at Mr. Maestas, Tom & Suzie’s Diner, or Bienvinidos. See the great museum inside Jim Gray’s Petrified Wood Shop (very large and beautiful exhibits, plus many for sale).
@@ShelleeGraham I'll have to get back there sometime. I've actually been to the Courthouse Museum before but it's been a very long time. It would be interesting to see how it's grown.
I actually love the longer videos. I thought it was being done on purpose. I truly do enjoy the longer content. Great road trip so far Jacob!! Thanks for taking us on such amazing trips and places.
Wigwam village #1 used to be located next to where I live, just outside of Horse Cave, KY at the intersection of 31E and Hwy 218.
I went on a big road trip last year to a bunch of national parks (short film is on my channel if you want some ideas). Went down from the east through Tucson, then up through the middle of Arizona to Vegas then Utah, so Petrified Forest would’ve been hours out of the way and we took it out of our plans.. Thanks for filming it so I could live vicariously!
This is your best video to date.
The Blue Swallow to the El Ranchero to the Wigwam....that is my old trip. I need to go again.
Fully honest, fully authentic, just the places as they are intended to be enjoyed. Humans can be wonderful.
Thanks man. Liked and resubscribed.
My family stayed at the Wigwam in Holbrook when I was twelve years old. That was a heckuva long time ago and I don't remember very much about it.
26:26 🤣🤣 between the camels and ostriches you've had quite an experience
Soooo funny
So THAT’s where the TRILOGY OF TERROR Zuni Fetish Dolls come from!
In the late 6o's my parents, aunt and cousin and me visited open Fort Courage and ate in the circle restaurant, on our way to California. lifelong memories on that journey🙂 gas was around 32 to 36 cents a
gallon!
I love watching your videos. I would love if you posted some "Raw" versions of your videos so we can see your full journey and see the stuff you edit out. I think all of your fans and supporters would love that. I honestly don't think they're long enough. Keep up the great job and let's keep this adventure going.
Yellowstone National Park is always my favorite. Love the different colored sulfur water puddles. Plus there's the Old Faithful geyser and inside one of the gift shop they have a homemade ice cream shop. I have yet to visit other national parks but that's always the first one that pops into my mind.
Your long videos are why I like them because I’ll watch some at lunch and then after work a little and then my favorite is when I get in bed I finish the video! Then I get excited to see what happens with the next days video!👍🏻😁
Those bottles look like twist offs!
Great 👍 job, Jacob! Love ❤️ that you stayed @the classic Wigwam Motel in Holbrook, Arizona! I’ve grown very fond of Holbrook as I’m part of the group that just saved the PDTP nearby. (Painted Desert 🌵 Trading Post on abandoned Rt 66, near the Petrified Forest l Painted Desert National Park.)
Don't worry about Your videos being to long Jacob 💜 Watching You is my " time machine" 😹 it's like a form of meditation for me 🙏🕉️🕊️ and I am very grateful for You 🙏😻
Never be forced too produce sir Mr. Carpetbagger.
I bet Adam would take on that loop with his bicycle no problem.
Also the chain gangs working on the roads.
Hello Jacob! I lived in Kingman Az for 30 years. I hope you stop in and visit!!!
Hello, I am your new fan club from Thailand 😃🇹🇭
Interesting fact about million dollar grape soda , Not too many people know this, but the drink was actually featured in a cut scene from the film “Brewster’s Millions” starring Richard Pryor. He spends his last dollar on the beverage.
If I Never Get a Chance To Travel Anywhere I Can Through Your Videos Carpet Bagger & I Do Enjoy Watching Your Videos TFS!!!👍😊
Plus we don’t just watch your video’s! And I think I’m speaking for alot of people that we feel like we are traveling with you! Thanks
I live about 4 minutes away from the one in Rialto however this one in the video is by far the coolest.
The wigwams in Kentucky were recently modernized, leaving in the old tile and furniture.
Random: not sure the KFC museum in Kentucky is open yet. I'd anyone knows lmk thanks.
Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO is an amazing drive
We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time.............smoke on the water, fire in the sky. Great rendition.
Rocky Mountains National Park in Colorado, I have been to. But now you are all set for Yellowstone, Yosemite, Acedia NP in Maine and more.
Acadia National Park in Maine! Go to the top of Cadillac Mountain and see the sunrise! Check out Thunder Hole while you're there too. If you hit it at the right time, you'll understand how it got it's name! Then head down to Bar Harbor for a legit lobster meal, and take a cruise out to see the puffins!
Jacob, that guitar was one of Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead's custom built guitars . No joke, that guitar's name was........Rosebud
Love the videos you have shared on this trip! So nice to see all the different scenery and places you have stayed along the way. Although if I ever get the opportunity to travel thru Arizona I don’t think I would stay at the wigwam motel, no offense but it could use some renovations.
God, how are you able to record, edit, & upload an ep ALMOST EVERY DAY??!! I could never crank things out that quickly!
This was very enjoyable. Thanks for doing what you do.
wow so cool the grims i like them i rember the f troop on tv so cool teepee ty for showing this video
I think you would enjoy Sequoia national park with those GIANT trees.
All I’ve got is 2 ostriches 1 cup in my head. I love your videos 💕
With your new Annual Pass you can go to all sorts of cool places, Lyndon B Johnson's former home in Texas is a national monument and the pass works for those. His house has been preserved exactly how it was when he was president, very cool. Get a passport book and collect stamps at all national parks/monuments it's fun.
The rock concert was the highlight of the video 😉
