Thank you very much!
How much do they cost?
I bought 4 units of a 40 long by 20 foot wide expandable container home(as they're currently termed in our region) with an arched gabled roof and semi enclosed front porch kit for our family campground of 700 acres. 2 of them 2 bedroom and the other 2 were 3 bedroom. Unit were $12,000 a piece, minus import tax, duties, state tax etc, plus $10,000 shipping from factory in China to my property on the east coast of the US, total was $27,000 per unit. I see a bunch of these popping up by some US dealers starting at $80,000 up to $185,000. I save thousands buying direct from manufacturer even with import duties and shipping are in the high end. As of 2024, there are no manufacturer outside of China building these. Yes there are US and European companies that customize these with exterior roofing, sidings, porches etc. But as for the container module itself, it's all manufactured in China.
This is awesome, would you mind sharing the supplier info?
Yes, please share the information we would need to order direct from the manufacturer. Thank you
Can you give us the supplier email or coordinates. Much obliged
is the roof strong enough to install solar panels on it?
@@kisekinecro shipping containers are often stacked on ships, and a loaded container can weigh over 50,000 lb. I believe the corners are where the greatest force is, so you'd have to be careful about the middle of the roof for example. But I'm sure there would be a way to do it
Bout to throw one of these on some land and move my family out there. Get some solar, water well and spetic going.
I'm going to the same Off grid living 💯%
These have been in my country for a few years now as park homes and no one has had any issues with them...here their put on wheels (slightly smaller than this one)so can be towed from place to place when needed...they would make a great home on a life style block!!.❤️🇳🇿

@@smaragatham8290According to the website, they are rated for 70mph/110kph winds when properly secured, and 6 feet/2m snow accumulation.
I doubt OP has had a chance to test the snow resistance though, given the *AUSTRALIAN FLAG* that apparently nobody else can see.
If you take care of them , they'll last long, just like any house, super cool I'd buy one .
Sure lets just say things.
Come back in 5 years the price of this cheap home will be little more than now.
I am sleeping in mine tonight. Need to move some stuff in and make it mine. Great job on yours
How do you put electricity and water. Do you have to contact the city for permits? How does it work?
@@camillekoser4336Electricity is through solar panels I believe. Water is hopefully not done via a source you need to refill.
I think you need to buy a piece of land to put the house on, and hopefully they’ll connect water to your house.
Did you do an air quality test? VOC and TVOC? It’s not that expensive to get a professional check, I would strongly suggest you do it, it can literally save your life…
can you make a video I am very interested in this.
@camillekoser4336 Electricity, it just plugs into mains and has its own fuse box inside. I have my water connected to a watermark and l use an electric water pump.
Pretty good, thanks for recording this. Always interesting to see the modular options.
San Diego ca and Inglewood ca watching and being inspired - thank you for making these videos people need to know - everyone is desperate for housing and looks like you have peace of mind - that is worth more ❤
Thanks for making this video. Could also be a great option for off grid as well.
Here in NZ their put on wheels (slightly smaller units than this one) so can be towed to we're their needed..with LED lights and gas cookers/hot water and solar panels and batteries you've got it made in the shade!!.❤️🇳🇿
We are in America and have off grid land. We are considering these and connecting 3-5 for our living situation. I want something non traditional.
Exactly. You could always go back and add more stability and insulation. I would throw some wheels on it too.
@SpoiledLocGurl did you ever buy one if these? I want one but not sure if it's legit
For better insulation, consider making earth walls around the outside of the structure about 8 to 12 inches thick.
I was thinking the same thing❤
Might as well build a hobbit house if you’re going to do all that

What size and how much ?
Did you buy land that allows it, or where can you put it legally ?❤
How much is pretty cheap
I sell such houses in Indonesia, Bali.
First, it is necessary to make an additional roof here - this helps to avoid leaks and the heat of the day.

Welcome to Bali!
Thanks for sharing your experience of a home from China yet was looking at one also .....

Plenty of potential with these units. I wonder if they can be joined together ... Cheers
Yes, they can. There is a place in Cairns that sells these and calls them granny flats.

There’s a whole lot more info and details needed for this! Website says price $5K (US) is only a deposit. No idea what total cost might be. How are they insulated? I online I see this model comes with a toilet..did you set this up with a traditional septic system? Not much info online at all!
This is nice. I like it. Would make a great cabin for a pretty piece of land.
Good permanenr solution for homeless shelter.
WOW amazing home, I want one.
Walls preventing easy hanging of shelves, etc. Is a drawback. Just like an RV. Otherwise lovely!😊
Install magnets with hooks. They're very easy to source, and some can hold more than the average human weighs.

Tom and Ruth Philippine Adventures on youtube lives in one of these and has had it for several years now.
It's strange, because at least 4 of the huge Chinese companies that sell these, offer a crew to come set it up upon delivery for free in the US. Don't know why in Australia, they don't have that. Plus, this specific model comes in a huge array of wall panels (ultra-light concrete) including laminated wood, bamboo and other awesome choices . The floors as well have a bunch of different linoleum choices including gloss bamboo, stained light or dark, etc. This specific model(s) is by far, among the BEST of the modular (foldable) homes out there. You can order them with a full solar array and an external wall battery. This homes are dynamite.
What are those Chinese companies that offer set up in US? Did you buy any?
Can you illustrate us and write the name of companies?
Offcourse they come to mount it, if you pay more that its price. 😅
Because in straya, you need qualifications to do the wiring, plumbing and shit. Can't simply be done by any tom dick & harry...straya is the only place where manpower cost exceed the actual physical product...😂😂😂
😂😂😂yo, we have Chinese EVERYWHERE here. they are buying out companies, setting up military bases. .. spying..... yall better be glad if you dont have them in your country 💯
people are so dumb.... 🤷♀️
Just wondering how much it was and was shipping included?
I saw these on Alibaba for about $6k.
Amazon has them for 10,000
You'll pay import tax, which i believe is fairly cheap. But, you'll need a forklift, or a crane to get it in place. Depending on where you're located, you should think about having it bolted to footers, or to a slab to keep it from being a tornado target.
I’m interested in one of these
@@FITNESSOVER45considering houses in my area are on average $1.2m USD, $20k to $30k is more than reasonable to tack on

Her gray dress is so cute. Where can I buy it
With or without the big sweaty arse patch 👀
my budget isn't big but my family has land... may have ot do somethin like this looks comfy.
Are these prefab homes insulated?
Basically insulated at the walls like an RV. Roughly 6-7 R-value. If you're living in the desert, you'll need to frame the inside out with studs, and use a closed cell spray foam, or you'll roast alive.
How much and where do I buy it? Thank you great job
Yes I'm interested !!!
Did you have to specifically add power package to your house or its just included ?
Ive got a 6m x 3m x 2.5m foldable sandwich panel cottage set on timber foundations. Having electrical conduits everywhere looks messy and expensive imo but the worst thing i have found is condensation at night and during winter. Ive put in a reasonably inexpensive window a/c in and putting passive airvents in. The windows hold water when it rains and collects on the inside as well, ill have to upgrade these and the ranchslider. Ive added additional roof fixings and internal corner and ceiling brackets. I will have to line the outside and inside with ply, this will help maintaining a cool environment inside during summer these get brutally hot in summer and vise verser. Ill have to put etch primer on the roof and re paint as it is very lightly coated. All in all it was cheap at $6,000 and took 2 of us 2.5 days to construct.
I’m falling in ❤with dark hair girl
Take it to your bedroom.
This is what I was looking for in the comments 😆
Price?
I just saw a video of one priced at $650k PHP (about $16k CAD), but that was over 4 years ago. It would be nice if the price point or range was given.
Lady with the dress can get it ❤
I’m seriously considering one of these. The only thing that concerns me is the shipping process. How did you go about landing it in Australia, duties and fees. That part seems the most daunting.
Try E . Musk’s company boxable since they’d have a decent warranty. I’d avoid this Chinese company at all costs no matter how cheap they are. Who the hell knows what materials the Chinese are using to construct these.
You just use a customs agent, and they do all that, and then you get it picked up from the customs warehouse, as I bought lithium batteries like that, sold them which paid for my own.
I drive past one regularly and last time had canvas over the roof. Leaks apparently. I would not buy from China. Substandard and I bet the electrics and fittings are rubbish as well.
They are so $h!t, there is a young lady down my road that has one, it’s so bad, leaked from the day she got it, boxes of silicone and it still leaks, expanda foam in the gaps, the rats still chew their way in, I call it the tent, there is 2 transportable as well and they’re better. She said the floor is cold no matter what and the condensation is terrible, so the heater works with the dehumidifier at the same time, no water no sewerage no appliances, crane to move it, add all that into it, she has 2 kids in it and moved out again last I asked, there’s a few around I know of and they all have separate free standing roofs over the top put in by separate contractors, in the end it wasn’t cheap, it costs heaps.
@@rjohnson4553 Thanks!
Hey, I’m curious to what website you bought it from ?
How much was total price, shipping and all?
Nice house.
1. Should have also video records inside the home when there is a heavy rain outside.
2. Will there be a rust issue.
I live in ontario canada and very intereated in one of these or 2

Very cool! 👍🏽
It’s described as plastic on amazon. Shipping containers are made of metal when used for homes.
What does it come with? Like sink and toilet and electrical??
I'd buy 2 or 4 and attach them to a commons room in the center, with a skylight all down the middle. Been envisioning this for awhile.
Would be 100% off grid.
How much are they?
I love your home
I remember looking at these a few years back. Great if you already have land. If you don't, you're buying land, paying a lot of money to join the water and electricity grid. And suddenly you're $100,000+ for something that probably has a 20 guarantee (and less depending on where you live). They would be great for a guest house though or a granny flat
Sending my full support., keep safe always
My question. Are they wired? Is the plumbing reqdy to be connected to water? Or do you have to rip the interior apart to put all of that in??
Small, private, and practical. If this has working AC and heating, it would make a fantastic AirBNB. Someone with experience could buy two, attach them, and renovate to make a two/three bedroom. It would still be cheaper than some houses on the market
Def need to ascertain if they come with heat and AC.
You should have a video showing how to put it together, piece by piece, in vivid detail for people like me.
Then you need:
Electrical
Plumbing
well or city water
septic or city sewer
And this is in England?
Coming soon
It's in Australia.
What’s the link to these homes?
Do they ship to Puerto Rico and US ?
Where is the link to buy it and what is the costs?
Very impressive. I live in a cold region of US where it snows. I would love to have one of these to make into a permanent home, how is this heated?
How was it delivered and how was it unloaded?
5.200 NOT BAD
How many people do you need to build it and do you need any special equipment?
Are the cabinets made of wood/is anything else made of wood or mdf? And did it have any chemical odor to you/odd smell? Thanks for the video!
It even has a key!!!
Is she for real?
😂 I was thinking the same thing.
This is better than the wood homes 🏠 in America
This is not tiny home . It is a huge apartment for New Yorkers 😂😂😂
It's been a few months, any updates on the house? Does it hold up well?
I have my own property to set it on, but where does it come from? How long will it take to get to Seneca?South carolina from wherever it is coming from
I would do an air quality test on this thing. I bet there are many…. Interesting vapors in there which might be especially harmful to kids. I’ve seen some crazy stuff (even in normal homes) - VOC over 4000 ppm, TVOC up to 10 mg/m3, which is worse than living at a gas station with open tanks. It’s not that expensive to get a professional check, I would strongly suggest you do it rather sooner than later…
Will do in a follow up video 👍
I thought exactly the same thing. I'd check for radioactivity as well.
Coming from China, lord knows what chemicals are in those walls.
You said it was cheap, but how much was it??
im contemplating selling my house and buying land to put this on so that I am 100% paid off. I wish they had electrical ran to where lights would be already though I hate raceway
Depending where you are, these may not pass local zoning codes. Best way around this is to have a main house then build this as ADU (accessory dwelling unit) aka mother-in-law unit.
Again, all depends on your local laws. These can vary even by city. Last thing you want is inspector coming by and telling you to tear it down
Wow Bryce Langston must be sitting himself with competition like this
now when housesand rents are pretty high in usa this seems like good alternative
Pindan (i think it was them) were bringing these in from China when they were a new thing.
They were a disaster in the beginning, the wiring and plumbing was all wrong no matter how hard they tried to impose on the build process over there.
They would end up spending so long trying to rectify them in Perth and then repack for shipping that they gave up and stopped selling them.
Back when these houses were 150k aud or less landed and done.
The cool thing was that there were a hand full of different configurations, you could actually get a double sized version with around 4 bedrooms if I recall correctly.
Obviously they would be much better now and a great option for getting a house up fast.
It is great seeing this lovely person and her little one making these into a proper little home. They always had great potential but I think they were just marketed all wrong.
I didn't care much for the house. But the lass hosting the vid was 🔥

Hey.. love this .. what’s the name of the company? How much?
I really wana know how is it , in heavy winter ?
I’m thinking of buying one exactly with a bathroom and kitchen but I don’t see any plugs outlets
what was the square footage and the price?
this looks a lot like the ones sold on amazon for 20k. I saw one that looks closely like this, which was 19ft x 20ft.
OK, is there any way to get like reposist, Tony Holmes or is this a cash? And that's it if that is that's fine.I have cash but i'm trying to figure out what would be my cheapest route
That’s really cost effective,?wondering on the prices and insulation as in Canada the climate can be very cold!
Did they ship it free? How much is it and how many bedrooms and bathrooms?
It’s probably below 30k. For around 30k you can get way better and bigger ones but shipping costs are a pain in the ass it’s several containers for a big one assembled so no I don’t think there are many with free shipping options.
big fan and serious about buying one of these very soon. Anyone able to show me a legitimate link or serious way to buy one?! Thank you!
