Please, do not ask that question in a job interview! And don’t ask these 4 questions either!

So, there’s some really bad examples of questions you should NEVER ASK in an interview! If you ask any of those, you probably won’t get hired.

TO HELP YOU PASS YOUR JOB INTERVIEW, I WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING THREE THINGS DURING THIS TUTORIAL:
#1. I will explain why it is so important to ask some questions at the end of your interview. I will also explain the type of questions the hiring manager wants to hear you ask.
#2. I will then tell you the EXACT number of questions you should always ask in an interview. There is an optimal number of questions you should always ask, and I will tell you why it is that amount!
#3. I will then give you, in a live interview, examples of questions you can ask and you can then choose which ones are most suited to you.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO ASK SOME QUESTIONS AT THE END OF YOUR INTERVIEW?
Well, if you don’t ask any questions, it tells the hiring manager that you’re not really interested in their company, the team you will be part of or the role you will occupy.
By asking SMART questions, it further gives you the chance to demonstrate that you are the ideal candidate… but, you must ask SMART questions!
SO, HOW MANY QUESTIONS SHOULD YOU ASK IN AN INTERVIEW?
Well, the ideal number of questions to ask is 3! If you ask 3 smart questions it’s enough to show the interviewer that you care about the future of their company but that you also don’t want to take up too much of their time.

“What advice would you give to the successful candidate to excel in your role?” Was the question I used to nail my interview. After the interviewer answered, I responded and said, that’s sounds like everything I’ve done and am prepared to do. The other question I asked was specific to my profession and the execution of certain duties and support I would receive from the employer around confidentiality. They were really appreciative of the questions and I simply accept their response without the need to challenge or push for clarification
I got a call for my salary expectations and references very soon after the final interview

My first question would be 5, because it shows interest of the company's future and what to expect in the next 5 years. Followed by 8, that you wanna ask for advice on how to excel in your role and be successful. Last question would have to be 7, it shows that you're interested in the hiring managers feelings of the company if they love the company or hate it

I was offered a higher internal position at my company in my department, and I find your channel to be very helpful. I do have to speak with two directors in my department just for formality. I still want to come prepared although I've worked with them for years, but not taking that for granted. I haven't interviewed since I started working at my employer which is almost 25 years. I've received promotions within my position, but 1st time being interviewed. I've written questions and answers down to be better prepared.

These videos have proved invaluable, after watching them solid for two weeks before a big interview, did so much research on the company, completely revamped and decluttered my CV and was better prepared than I've ever been for an interview, left a gruelling interview feeling confident that I'd done all that I could.

Well, asking questions is not really to impress the interviewer, but for you to learn more information about the job, so you can excel at your job.
It's certainly true that the questions are to help you to be successful in the role but also asking smart question will help to impress the interviewer! I hope this helps :)

I usually ask what the benefits are and who they carry for health, dental , eye, etc. The other question I usually ask is what direction the company is trending in economically. The third question I ask is will the company invest as much in me as I invest into it.

If I watched your videos before my Amazon onsite interview I could’ve cracked it. I was told that I did well on my technical but lacks leadership skills. But, after watching bunches of your videos I cracked senior software engineering role at Oracle. I knew that I am good at technical interviews but lacked the behavioral aspects.

I think good questions are #4, #6, and #7. If we read the job descriptions and read information about the company on its website, we are able to get answers #1,#2, #3,#5, and #8. If we do our homework, don't need to ask for answers #1, #2, #3, #5, and #8. Question#1 is the bad one. If you do one thing, you can't help the business succeed. The company can't afford to hire you to do only one thing.

I asked for a bit more salary, and he said he will ask the hiring team and get back to me soon. They liked my interview answers a lot, and they also liked my questions at the end. I asked about the five years goal plan for the company and the interviewer literally got excited because he just got out of the a meeting talking about the five-year goal plan for the department …so he was very impressed that I asked because he was able to give me a detailed response and I could tell that he was more intrigued … and I got a call back!!!!!!

instead of advice i always as "What's a common mistake you see people in this position and how do you suggest they avoid it?"
However I really like the "could you tell me more about the team i would be apart of" - however sometimes they would say that in the debrief of the interview... the rest doesnt really suit me in my job. Im a freelance assistant stage manager

Problem I have with some of these is I'm pushing for a secondment promotion not just in the same department but I'd likely inherit the team I'm currently in. If I don't know the answer to some of these questions myself, that'd probably send alarm bells to the upper management 😅

Sometimes I am afraid asking “how to excel in the roll” will make the interviewer thinks I am not ready for the job as I have seen interviewer stared at me with contempt after I asked this Q 😮💨 btw, could you teach us how to do a good improptu talk? If a job is located on the coast of the US, should I refrain from asking a question about how the position will be affected during probation if a significant storm system occurs that requires the area to evacuate?
It may be something to ask afterwards in the role? What job is it for?

Yes, you could do that for sure, or use a mix for each stage :) What role are you applying for?
